I bought this off Muppet only a few days ago. It’s a lovely black and maple US 2005 Precision with a ‘62 reissue pickup and comes with original bridge which I asked for to be returned to stock when I bought it. There is a Hipshot D-tuner installed by the original owner who also replaced the S1 switching with a standard tone pot, the presumably white scratchplate was replaced with a WD one. The bass comes with a Fender gig bag. I was hoping it would be much lighter than my old Fender Precision however at 4.3kgs it isn’t (mine is 4.4). Having played it for a few hours and mulled it over there’s not much point me keeping it for the sake of the tiny weight difference. So it’s back for sale. As I bought it with gigbag rather than Hiscox case and with the original bridge I’m selling it for what I paid at £700. It really is a beautiful bass and plays really well but I think I’m going to have to stick with sub 4kg basses owing to my recent shoulder and neck issues. No trades. UK only. Pickup preferred. Sold!

Well I’m a sucker for the black and maple look. This has been my sole bass for gigging over the last year and a bit. I may regret selling it but I have bought a lighter black and maple Precision so hopefully I won’t miss it too much. If this doesn’t sell it won’t be a problem however, I’m certainly not going to accept daft offers on it, it’s beaten up but worth the price I’m asking.

Quality workmanship around the neck joint there.

They appear to have a fine selection of various bodged together ‘instruments’ with optimistic prices available. -

I bought this recently having always wanted to try one when I was at school. Unfortunately it’s rather heavy for me at 5kgs so having given it some TLC it’s up for grabs. It’s a Japanese made Washburn Scavenger bass with its original case. I doubt you’ll find one in such good condition - apart from the odd finish scratch and tarnish to the brass saddles it is excellent. The pickup looks like a Dimarzio and sounds pretty beefy it’s an incredibly well made bass typical of a Japanese made instrument from this era. It’s all original and the neck is straight and true with lots of life in the frets. It’s been cleaned and set up with a decent set of strings. No trades thanks. I’m happy to post in the UK at buyers cost.

A fantastic bass and service from Jarek I wouldn’t hesitate to trade with or buy from him again. Highly recommended.

I emailed him asking about the weight and the make and he replied - 9lbs. Make of that what you will but it certainly looks nice.

Ah that must have been 2020 BC (before corona)
