  1. Just lovely - these are my favourite Japanese basses.
  2. Beautiful G&L bass traded recently on the forum. I needed a lightweight Precision type bass and this is it at well under 8lbs. It’s a superb instrument lovely quarter sawn maple neck timber with a flame to it. Comes with certificate, case and keys. It’s a real custom shop instrument at a great price. I’m only selling as my first love is 70’s P basses and I’ve just bought another that’s actually quite light! I’d prefer no trades really as I need to recoup some cash however I’d consider a deal on a maple board US Precision. Cheers. I’d rather not send it but will do at buyers cost in the UK only - sorry.
  3. Thanks for your comments. Yes it’s rather similar in style to another classic U.K. made headless....
  4. Gordy headless bass - this was handmade by Gordon Witham the other half of the original Gordon Smith partnership. Very good condition with some small cosmetic dings - see pics. It’s around 30 years old. The bass is lovely with a light action and a great active preamp. It’s a good weight around 9lbs and well balanced. Bought on a whim as I love Gordy’s work but I prefer passive basses. UK only no trades. Comes with gigbag and a set of grub screws for the bridge so you can use normal strings. It’s currently strung with double ball ended Status flats.
  5. I’ve changed the pickup to a black covered one due to requests and comments on the aesthetics. It’s now sporting a Duncan Designed pickup instead of the cream Dimarzio. Still sounds nice and punchy!
  6. Yes I’ve had three of these all weighed over 5kgs but were superb instruments. If it were 3.9kgs I’d be all over it! Lawrence is indeed a lucky fellow!
  7. Oh yes it certainly is - the necks are superb on these early versions, only selling as I tend to favour the JV Precision I’ve played over the last 27 years!
  8. Now £565
  9. Very nice how much does it weigh?
  10. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Home-made-violin-type-electric-bass/133322311877?hash=item1f0aa108c5%3Ag%3Ao5oAAOSwvBpeNWYG&LH_ItemCondition=3000 Good on them for having a go and putting it on at a sensible price but would you hang it on your wall?
  11. The trussrod would have a crosshead nut
