Had an update this week, my Sandberg should be with me in Nov 2026.

I’ve developed arthritis in the top joint in my left thumb over the last year or so and similarly a change in my fretting hand technique has really helped.

Definitely, no maybes about it (see what I did there?) Whilst they may not be the most accomplished musicians they have a cool factor, if that inspires kids to start picking up guitars etc only a good thing imo.

That’s a good call, the amount of times I’ve panicked at a gig when my RM500 didn’t work only for it to be this.

My mate had a similar issue, the case he was after had been updated and made slightly bigger, the newer version not fitting in his car boot. He saw an older version online and messaged the retailer for dimensions, specifically measuring the actual case in stock, not the manufacturers spec, which they agreed to do and replied with, and fortunately for him it was the old case sizes. He placed the order, received the case, which was the new version. So he returned it at their cost. Moral of the story, you can only trust in something when you have it and can test it yourself, the person on the other end of the phone/message could be a very helpful individual, willing and eager to help a customer. Or they could not.

I’ve got two remasters, Never Mind The Bollocks by The Sex Pistols, and Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses. NMTB has a bit more oomph to the bass and the guitars seem a tad sharper/less middy. AFD has better separation of the guitars so easier to tell which is Slash or Izzy, and the bass is boosted - a bit too much imo for listening at home but good for the car. But for me when listening at home I prefer the originals, I bought the remasters for the car and the added low end on both was good for that.

I put these on my US Fenders, they certainly work and they give me peace of mind when changing strings that I`m not going to end up with a rattler. I may well have one that I`m not using, if interested PM me and I`ll check when home from work.

I like them, they scream a decade more than any other bass imo, even more so than the original Precision basses.

The Custom Shop Fender Precision I played was one of those too - @Clarkys one - was simply superb.

I’ve had pretty much the full range from Squier Affinity up to Fender US Deluxe/Ultra. All were perfectly good, and imo ascended up to the US made ones. The Deluxe/Ultra, great basses they were, were imo Deluxe/Ultra due to the added active circuitry which I didn’t really use, so the peak for me was the US Standards. So if I had £1000/£1500 available to spend on a Fender I’d put the money to a US Standard, my fave range of those being the 2013-16 ones with Custom Shop pickups. Sure I could get a Mex Player or Vintera and change pickups and have a great bass, but for me the US Standards are the best. I’ve briefly played Custom Shop Fenders - a Precision and a Strat - and they were easily the best instruments I’ve ever played, though I don’t think I’d ever shell out that amount on an instrument.

Just seen Olivia Rodrigo do a song called Brutal, which sounded a lot like Pump It Up by Elvis Costello, so did a google and turns out he was more than happy with it and said no legal action - fair play Elvis!

I enjoyed what I saw of Rod Stewarts set, and it looked like he and his band did too. Also thought Ronnie Wood seemed to be having more fun than he does with the Stones.

From what I’ve seen she certainly is. Didn’t know anything by her - or who she is tbh - but she is good.

Yeah great tone, going by the burst looked like a 70s Precision, but whatever, sounded great.
