    I had a Pod X3 Live (since upgraded to an HX Stomp) for a number of years. Guitar and bass models on it were both good to my ear. The editing experience is a bit clunky by modern standards but there are enough controls for it not to be too painful.

    Oh Chordpulse is MIDI output only so not really what I was after.

    I paid the ~£12 for iRealPro on Android -- typically, I've not managed to spend much time with it but it seems to cover the basics. The UI (on a smallish phone at least) is a bit clunky. I've not tried Chordpulse yet though, might give the trial version a shot.

    B♭ and F# are more commonly used than A# and G♭, despite being enharmonic equivalents, so they're less likely to trip up the reader in most cases. As ever though it depends on context.

    I'm pretty sure there is a hardware element at least, I have one bass where it's particularly noticeable, even unplugged.

    I get this on my Conklin GTBD7, I'd hoped a fret polish and slightly higher action would sort it but no dice. Rolling off the treble can help a bit...

    I got my old 4/4 5 string in an early 2000s Nissan Micra with the back seats down pretty easily. Was a bit sketchy trying to sit someone in the back seat as well though...

    Unless you need to practice at hearing damage volumes you should be fine with pretty much any monitors.

    When I last looked at this the Helix units had a much more balanced selection of bass models. I ended up with the HX Stomp, but it does depend on your budget and needs.
