  1. When's the housewarming 🍻
  2. Thanks folks. That looks pretty close, although no Windows support is an annoyance. Might take a punt on the Android version though. Band in a box looks like overkill for me, I think.
  3. Basically I want a basic interface (ideally on my PC rather than on a phone) where I can lay out a chord sequence, have it loop with a basic accompaniment, then maybe modulate it (e.g. ii-V-I starting in C then moving through the circle of fifths). I just want to play over some basic chords without getting bogged down trying to play or program it in Reaper. Hopefully someone's already done this so I don't have to go build it myself...
  4. This is amazing. I long ago accepted that I don't have the temperment for hardware tinkering but a web UI for effects is a really neat solution (and is giving my web dev brain some ideas to chew on...). Is the board effectively a wee Linux box that you can run a server + the microcontroller stuff on, or do you have to package it all up somehow, a la Arduino?
  5. Recent (heart-warming) example from @Jimothey:
  6. My advice would be to go see a physio if you can, tbh. It's easy to make things worse by accident if you don't identify the underlying issue.
  7. This one if I'm not mistaken.
  8. Lets you split one or two strings to a separate output, basically, although the styling and ergonomics looks questionable to my eye... Details
  9. Conscious this is peak "get off my lawn", but the thing that annoys me the most is expecting people to watch a 13 minute YouTube video when the salient information could fit in half a page of text.
  10. If you've got 4 slots on the board 8+8 will be fine.
  11. Disappointed to learn it's not, in fact, the best a man can get.
  12. Just be careful if you try this - I've left a nasty ding in the side of a neck trying to use a cable tie as a string mute before, I'm not sure they'll sit as flat as you'd want a fret to.
  13. Is "mwah" not mostly a technique thing? Certain instruments may be more conducive to it but if you play with less vibrato you should be able to dial it back on any fretless 🤷‍♀️
  14. A Boogerfooger, if you will.
  15. Some recent discussion on this: As mentioned there, I have a Sadowsky Metro Express, although if your budget will stretch to the Wal above you might have a few more options!
  16. I'm sure they're lovely, but the Jazz scratchplate with no control plate just looks all kinds of wrong to me.
  17. I have the P/J version of the Sadowsky, and am pretty happy with it. The main issue I have is how the P pickup is anchored, which is obviously not an issue on the J/J model. The neck and unlined board are lovely imo.
  18. I did wonder if you're maybe trying to run too low a latency? What interface are you using, and what latency is it running at?
  19. Status graphite necks. Looks like they're not taking orders at the moment though. Edit: tried to link directly to the necks on the site but apparently that wasn't possible in 1997 when that site was built
  20. How much physical RAM does the machine have? 95% usage in normal use does seem high. I'd start by uninstalling Norton tbh, total waste of space. Try closing Edge while recording, maybe?
  21. [SOLD] Pyramid 6 string (E-F) set -- I acquired this as 2x 7 string sets but managed to make a mess of fitting the low B on the first one so had to use both, so what's left is the top 6 of a 7 string set. These are nice strings though, very punchy to my ear, and the rest of the other set went on without any problems. Includes a wound .022 for the high F. The full set is £49 + shipping from Thomann, you can have 6/7ths for £16 posted. Allparts black felt washers (x8) - tfw you need two of something but they're only sold in packs of 10. How does £4 posted sound? [SOLD] Allparts pickguard screws (x17) - I think they're nickel? Again, I needed 3, they come in packs of 20. £3.50 posted. Happy to combine to save on postage, or if you're in Glasgow you're welcome to collect. Payment by paypal or bank transfer. You can see my previous BC feedback here.
  22. Bought some straps from Nick, all good -- thanks again.
  23. @bartelby can get close with the Zoom B3, I can get close with an HX Stomp, probably many others in a similar vein.
  24. Sounds like I might have underpriced the HD1000 I sold on here last year 😅 What effect are you trying for here? Delay with feedback that accents the high frequencies?
