  1. Very nice, these look much better than the NJS line to my eye
  2. What would you want to ask? "What string have I got" type questions? I suspect current LLM technology will struggle to pull consistent data out of the forum text even if you could scrape it without affecting the rest of the forum's stability.
  3. Can you post an example? Trilling to me would be repeatedly hammering on and pulling off (or on a bowed or wind instrument switching between two notes in the same stroke/blow), but that's different from vibrato?
  4. Yes, with a side of it depends - if you can transpose as required, and don't rely on being able to hit open strings it works just fine. I played a 5 string in standard BEADG tuning in a band with guitars tuned to D standard for years.
  5. It's sitting on my desk at the moment. Open to suggestions, I was thinking Warhammer terrain 😅
  6. Spotted some perfect knobs in the classifieds (no laughing at the back please) to lean into the "none more black" aesthetic. I would prefer this with soapbars but still having fun with it.
  7. Interesting to see the AxeFX tech coming in at a more reasonable price point, I wonder if they'll get any traction in the bass market with this as a QC/Helix competitor https://www.fractalaudio.com/am4
  8. Will keep an eye out for your collection of hens' teeth next.
  9. This sounds amazing
  10. It seems to be a design feature across a few of their designs, even on the premium lines... doesn't do it for me but so it goes.
  11. The lines work for me but agree it would look 10x better if they finished the natural bit at the end of the neck.
  12. I did this with a 4/4 5 string in a Nissan Micra at one point.
  13. If you can't stretch to an Aeron the Ikea Markus is adequate and has removable arms.
  14. Would detuning the B string to say A and seeing if the dead spot moves with it help isolate if it's a setup issue or not?
  15. Beautiful work, the way the graphic follows the shape of the body is lovely.
  16. My guess would be that this is sufficiently niche that a refinish would probably cost more than it would add to the value unless there's a collector looking for exactly this. Is it even possible to refinish without losing the graphic?
  17. hello, do you know the scale length? and what electronics are in it? I'm struggling to find the specs for this.
  18. This was my thought. It tapers wider away from the nut too so you'd likely end up with a lot of dead space to either side using a standard 12-string bridge.
  19. bump before I start to shred these
  20. That is a pretty thing! I love how the bottom of the bridge matches the curve of the body, very elegant.
  21. If you want to spend that amount of money on a Tobias-designed non-custom bass I'm not sure why you wouldn't get an export MTD. Aside from nostalgia I guess.
  22. I'm holding out for the American Unprofessional range tbh
  23. Looks very nice, but it has triggered one of my pettier pet hates - any product manager who specs a 4 string with the number 5 in the model name needs their ass kicked.
  24. My kingdom for companies to announce things without making me watch a bloody video
