  1. Past hour
  2. I fall in and out of loving it to be honest, as I'm more of a Jazz bass kinda guy. I must say that I'm really liking it just now though. I often wonder if I should sell it, but it seems pointless to get rid for another Jazz when I've several Jazzes already.
  3. No. V3 enjoyed about 9 years of continuous improvement. V4 will likely get a similar treatment; there are already further improvements and feature additions in the pipeline.
  4. Let me know what you need. I've two Prusa MK4's. Oddly enough they are doing sod-all at the moment Rob
  5. Joke killer
  6. My old rig! It still looks as immaculate as when I had it. I took that on three pro-tours around the UK and it picked up so many compliments from soundmen and other bands. GLWTS.
  7. I love the colour. I'm surprised they haven't got a black one too, though, just for those fans that don't like the purple. As Spector fan, I'm not going to be joining the queue. It's an FSO from Spector and it opens up the brand to more players. As a marketing move I geddit totally.
  8. Heh ... I’m in that not buying gear this year thread. And have made it to July. The cable would pass , but the splitter box would not.
  9. Looks dangerous! Make sure you have protection.
  10. He used Thomastik and La Bella. I've listened to a few demos of these strings on YouTube now that they are in the hands of mere mortals. They sound really good, a lot closer to the sound of Thomastiks than the more muted traditional La Bella tone. The Pino strings seem to have a nice meaty sound, for sure, but on what I've heard so far I can't say they sound any better than TI's or La Bella, both of which cost significantly less. FWIW, just about the best flats I've tried at any price are the Dunlops. In terms of tone, they're the perfect blend of the thump of La Bella's and the articulate sound of the TI's. Not cheap at £80 for a four string set but definitely worth investigating if you're in the market for these EB PIno strings.
  11. Lovely.
  12. My take is that the string in question isn't making contact at the fingerboard side of the nut, but further back. This would result in what they're finding.
  13. Is the improved tracking on v4 going to filter down to v3?
  14. Has anyone of the bass world we all love had trouble contacting bass review mag? My subs have been paid but I haven't seen a mag for weeks and weeks and it's impossible to contact them. Has anyone else had this problem or is it me being stupid? Terry G
  15. My advice is if you're already playing a fretted Squier P, get a fretless Squier P to match it. It'll make the transition to fretless much easier as your fingers will naturally fall into the right positions. Top tip: make sure both straps are the same length too!
  16. yes +1 for the harley benton. My PB-50 is just fantastic
  17. Blister - Zimmer's Hole
  18. Lovely bass for a very fair price. GLWTS!
  19. This would look so good alongside my MTD Super 5......must sit on hands and must resist...GAS does not exist...... GLWTS!
  20. I've seen good reviews of the Harley Benton JB-40FL: https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_jb_40fl_3_tone_sunburst.htm
  21. Today
  22. If I was looking for a budget fretless, I'd get this: https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_jb_40fl_3_tone_sunburst.htm HB have a great reputation, plenty of folk on here use them as regular gigging basses.
