  2. After 24 hours of continuous rain we were not surprised that turnout was a little low at the Bricklayers in Sharnford last night. Especially given that the pub is next to the river. In fact as we left the landlord came out to fix the last few sections of the flood barrier in place! As usual it was a tight squeeze in the corner. It was great to play at a lower volume though as we could hear everything and had no sacrifice of tone. The guitarist took his Mesa Boogie but had a tiny little Vox amp plugged into the speakers rather than using the Mesa amp - much easier to get a decent tone without volume. Well it sounded good to all of us anyway. As I said, a selective audience but some of them had travelled quite a distance, which was appreciated by us. We even got some up dancing (ok, it was the WAGS 😂)
  3. I'll rephrase: He now "identifies" with being a she ☺️
  4. Another long one, this is the Jay Anderson bass part for the tine 'Three Romances Pt.1 - Choro Dançado' from the 2004 Maria Schneider recording 'Concert In The Garden'. Not a roast in the conventional sense but enormously satisfying to play. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/three-romances-pt-1-choro-dancado-maria-schneider-orchestra/

  6. The mashine is called UV Flatbed printer. It can print on almost every flat surface. You can ask some local print shop which produce posters, signs, etc...
  7. When you know, you know. Nice bass.
  8. ... and player. Recycled a crisp set of LaBella Deep Talkin' 0.045 flatwounds (a mere 12 years old, so virtually new), ordered a set of full-length neckpocket shims, and spent the afternoon dialing the thing in. Pickguard shrinkage meant that the pickup sits VERY firm in the pickguard, but with some strong thumbwork, I managed to raise them a bit. I was kind of fearing it would have a "ski jump" at the heel of the neck, as notes chocked out above the 14th fret, but the shim and a gentle nip of the trussrod made that go away. It was already a good sounding bass, but with these minor interventions it became one of the best P-basses that I ever had. She demands hard work and perseverance for it though 😅.
  9. When you factor these statements in, which I more than agree with, they are relatively good value. I had no real feel for Musicman prices but having just looked, I think a Euro is very competitive.
  10. All in good condition and perfect working order. However missing the belt clip from the transmitter. Didn’t affect me as I kept it locked into my strap. Hence bargain at £50. Can possibly post but prefer to meet.
  11. It's a beast of an amp, I love mine. GLWTS!
  12. Brand new condition MXR Bass Synth available. It's a great pedal. The only reason that I'm selling it, is test I've just bought myself an Akai Deep Impact, which covers most of the same sounds. £275 price includes delivery within the UK. Go on, treat yourself!!!!
  13. Gator ProGo bass gig bag for sale Must be one of the best bags out there and so good I have two of them. In my opinion it's up there with the Mono's and Fusion cases. But I only need one now so this one is up for sale. Easily fits larger basses too. Sparkly bassy thing not included in the sale. Loads of pockets, single handle, snuggly interior, bombproof construction etc etc... Disclosure.....missing the pull out rain cover, only has one shoulder strap, small rip in the fabric on the top pocket, slightly grubby where the tuners touch the interior. See pictures. Collection ideally from Essex/Herts border or I can post at cost Thanks for looking!
  14. Exciting times and they say the pedal will be available to buy on the 18th 😮
  15. Today
  16. Thanks Gary, that's really good of you. Hopefully we can get a result with the paint man
  17. …that’s impossible.
  18. Im quite glad I’ve just sold another preamp as if this is the B15 it’ll be an instant purchase.
  19. Having a bit of a bow clear out. 1st up... Lovely Dorfler bass bow from Bubenreuth in Germany. French pattern, pernambuco, nickel mounted, 690mm stick, 131g weight. Couple of small marks here & there. New hair. Based in Catford SE London to try out or can post. £400
  20. I've had two five string Sires, a V7 Vintage and a V9. Excellent basses and loads of options on them, so you can really experiment if you've never had active or maple boards or whatever before. I felt I "needed" a 5 string then felt I didn't... The preamps are great, the maple boarded vintage V7 is really nice for snappy, trebly sounds and the pre let's you roll that off and make it thunderously deep... There's nothing not to like, apart from the headstock.
  21. Pm'd you. Still for sale?
  22. Wow, this fretboard looks beautiful!!! Congratulations for your adquisiton, I hope you enjoy it a lot. With the time I hope you explain your thoughts about the bass in a concert, rehearsals, recordings...
