Update: Shipping... I've spent the last day reaching out to various shipping companies. The first quoted me 2000RMB (over 200 quid) to express UPS ship to the UK in 4-6 days. I said 'no'. Another company has offered 390RMB for the same delivery, any weight up to 6kg. Technically I COULD combine two necks in a single shipment but then someone would have to make sure one neck got to it's respective owner.

For sale in very good used condition my 1000watt neo 4x8 cab. It's weighs in at around 22kg single hand lift and carry (if not too far)! Super punchy cab and seems to naturally sit in the mix easier than many cabs I've used. The only flaw is the speakon input isn't working but both jack sockets are. Its 8 ohm so can be coupled with a 15 for a lovely full range sound. I have used it with my ashdown 2x10 combo which made a great rig. Hartke amp is for size ref only although is for sale separately (deal to be done)?? Postage is possible if sorted by the buyer. Robust packaging assured. Cheers

@BassAdder60 - that's a shame. I thought they looked decent - especially the Lionheart head. My Digbeth is a solid thing. Though the external transformer for the Ironheart Foundry doesn't seem like a great idea. Those flimsy cables are always the first to break. I don't remember ever having a broken kettle lead!

This happened to a mate of mine with his white, 80s Les Paul deluxe. He was doing Björn Again in front of 10,000 people. Raised his arms and the crowd went “YAAAAAAAY!” guitar falls to the floor and they all go “OOOOOHHHHH!” - a real Wayne’s World moment.

I am proud of this one. The complete Anthony Jackson performance on the tune '11:49 p.m.' from the 2012 Hiromi Trio Project album, 'Move'. One to read before you try to play! it has a long section in 5:8 that is not something you see very often, certain not for prolonged sections of improvisation, so it will test you, especially as the note groupings AJ uses are not consistent. There is also a unison section (also in 5:8) that will break a few bones! https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/11-49-p-m-hiromi-uehara-trio-project/

Explain PA setups to me like I'm an idiot
Phil Starr replied to proy900's topic in PA set up and use
Not by one of the mods I hope? I'm kind of surprised that when people ask for help and others offer to go over to help out in person that there isn't a response, but I've also posted questions myself and fogotten the thread for a few days because I've solved the issue. I always feel as if I've been unintentionally bad mannered but it's never intentional. I do like a happy ending though, so it would be nice if @proy900 did come back and tell us it's all up and running -
Thanks for the information 👍

Vintage 1980's Westone Thunder 1A Active Electric Bass from Matsumoku Factory, Japan - Fretless. Manufactured between 1981 and 1989. Serial number 4071308 Check out the Westone website as it holds useful information. Different eras of this iconic bass but otherwise very much the same instrument (other than being fretless + active). This f/less bass has been converted from an originally fretted bass. There are the usual signs of pitting/wear to the original metallic hardware (SEE PHOTOS). Pots run smooth with no crackle currently when played. Knobs pitted and aged. There are signs of surface scratching and small dings etc. as photographed. instrument has a basic, somewhat tatty, generic hardcase. Price includes UK 24/48h courier delivery

I'm downsizing my collection a bit, so up for grabs is my incredible Über Spec Finn 5 string by AC Guitars. This is the highest spec that ACG offer, with the most premium woods, the multicoil pickups and the full fat DFM filter preamp, with a passive tone knob. As with all my basses, this is 31.5" scale, which makes playing absolutely effortless, and due to the sound design and construction, there are literally noting but benefits to the shorter scale. Here's the details... Spec Level: Über 31.5" scale Bolt-on construction 24 frets 18mm string spacing 45mm nut width Katalox Top Cuban Mahogany Body Black Accent Veneer 5 piece Red Oak/Wenge Neck, with slim asymmetric carve Highly figured Pau Ferro Fingerboard with Sapwood, wit 0º radius, i.e. flat ACG MC pickups, Multicoils, handmade by Aaron Armstrong ACG DFM filter preamp with passive tone control and active/passive switching ACG/Hipshot Custom Bridge Gotoh Resolute Tuners Currently strung with fairly heavy Nickel D'Addario XLs, but it really shines with lighter gauge Newtone Nickels, something like 40 60 80 125TW, I might have a set kicking around to pop on. I don't know the exact weight, as I don't have proper means to measure it properly, but I'd say it's a medium weight bass, maybe 8.5 lbs or thereabouts? Certainly doesn't feel heavy. This really is an incredible instrument, but I'm ultimately more of a 6 string bassist first, then 4 strings, then 5 - I know, weird. A bass built to this spec today would cost the best part of £4000, and worth every single penny. This Finn is absolutely mint, not a mark on it, never been gigged, barely even left the house. Looking for roughly £2000, ono, with a TGI Extreme Gigbag. More than happy to courier within the UK, with insurance, at buyer's cost, I'd guess this would be about £30 based on previous experience. No trades thank you, sale only. Cheers, Eude More pics...

Yes I have the songs, or played by the band or others I can find then on YouTube. One of them I did it by ear but the others a bit faster and complicated I'm not able to do it in that way, I'm still not that good to play it by ear. I should find someone to help me out but even guys more expert than me I see they have difficulties to do it

I don't think anyone who uses tab doesn't also have a recording of the song(s) in question from which they can get the rhythm. I'm of an age when very little pop or rock music was written down in any format and if it was, it was normally wrong. Therefore I'll usually work things out by ear as I always have done. IMO if a band wanted me to play a baseline exactly as it has been recorded then they also need to supply me with tab, notation or a recording of just the bass line. Otherwise they will have to make do with my interpretation of the part, which will be close but might not be 100% accurate.

It just seems like good manners to acknowledge assistance that is offered. Guess I'm just old fashioned. - Today
