I agree, and I’m a little surprised that they have. But they’re not lying when plenty of other sellers have/would, so any buyer knows exactly what they’re getting
-
Well, I'm bringing Matt and probably his #1 to do the video of his talk. Then there's all the unconfirmed guests and traders. It's three months away, there's a lot of Basschatters within an hour of it and bet a few quid on us busting 50 easily. How big is the hall? Do we need a venue with multiple rooms? I've never done a bash before, so have no reference point.

QSC CP12 Active PA Speaker 1000 Watts One of two - priced individually or for a small discount if sold as a pair. This speaker is as new and has not been used since purchase. It comes with additional QSC waterproof cover for outdoor use. Very powerful speakers however I’m downsizing and selling my larger portable PA gear. Street price is £579 cheapest I can find so this is a good saving. The covers cost an extra £67. The user manual is included. I have two of these for sale. I can knock off £40 if you buy the pair. Pickup definitely preferred but talk to me if this is impossible. UK only. Postage would be at buyer’s cost and I’d need to source packaging as the boxes have been recycled. These speakers get glowing reviews in Sound on Sound magazine - https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/qsc-cp-series I own a pair of QSC CP8s which are perfectly fine for keyboard monitoring and rehearsal PA so these aren’t needed now for personal use. Specifications from QSC below - Features Class-D amplifier with 1000W peak power output Selectable contours (presets) for quick setup Advanced DSP with Intrinsic Correction™ Superior sound quality and speaker protection Directivity Matched Transition™ (DMT) ensures uniform coverage across the entire sound field Suitable for use as a main PA, stage monitor or instrument amplifier 35mm pole mount socket Lightweight and incredibly portable Specifications Configuration: Two-Way Active Low Frequency Driver: 12'' Cone Woofer High Frequency Driver: 1.4'' Compression Frequency Response: 49Hz - 20kHz, -6dB 47Hz - 20kHz, -10dB Sound Pressure Level: 126dB (Maximum) Nominal Coverage: 75° Axisymetric Amplifier Type: Class-D Amplifier Power: 1000W (Peak) Input Connectors: 2 x XLR/TRS Combo (Line and Mic/Line) 1 x 3.5mm TRS Stereo Output Connector: 1 x XLR (Mix) Controls: Power 2 x Gain Mic Boost Push Switch 6-Way Contour Selection Switch Indicators: Power LED 2 x Input Signal LEDs Input B MIC Selected LED Limiter Active LED Power Supply: 100V - 240V, 50Hz/60Hz Enclosure Material: Polypropylene Grille: 18 Gauge Powder Coated Steel Dimensions: 516mm x 350mm x 323mm / 20.3'' x 13.8'' x 12.7'' (H x W x D) Weight: 13.7kg / 30.3lbs

It is, and I’d like to play it, at one time I would only buy anything that was totally original and with the original case ,but as times gone on Ive relaxed on this as long as they play and feel really good and it’s reflected in the price , I’ve been offered lots that wasn’t original that I regret not buying

Re advertised with reduced price. Selling at a reduced price for limited period. Fender Musicmaster Bass 1971 This is the rarer first issue of the Musicmaster bass. This is the baby of the Fender range of this era and has a 30” scale. This early version has the smaller logo and model name with the distinctive hooked R. The tuners are original with the tulip shaped keys, later models had Schaller types. The neck is nice and easy to play, it has a lovely dark rosewood board and 19 frets. Truss rod works as it ought to and the action is low and comfortable. It also intonates very well for a two saddle bridge shorty. The bass had been modded years before I bought it and had been routed for a reversed Precision bass pickup rather than the original rather weedy sounding Strat pickup. I swapped the pickup for a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder as the fitted pickup was in poor condition. I also removed the ‘choke’ from the original wiring circuit as this was probably used to make the original Strat pickup sound darker. I will include the choke with the bass. The pots and Bakelite knobs are all original. The scratchplate is one I made. It’s rather rough but does the job. I have the original one but it has been modded to accommodate the P pickup and the original pickup cavity patched. I’ll include this of course. The finish is original with lots of dings, touch ups, crazing and darker patches where stickers have been removed. It has had a long life as a gigged bass. It looks great because it’s been played and loved. I’ve personally used this for many gigs over the last year. It sounds punchy and has a surprisingly versatile tonal range. It’s light at around 3.7kgs and very easy to play. I’m selling because I’m back to playing long scales. I don’t want trades sorry and it’s UK only. I can post at the buyer’s expense and/or arrangement. I’ve dropped the price for a limited time as I’ve got an eye on something else. Modifications aside this is a bargain price for a vintage ready to gig Fender.

I got it at GAK March 2024 as an early birthday present - I sorted it out through one of the staff there Ryan who I had a few email conversations with about it. My local luthier set it up for me with the new strings and the old ones are included. I assume it was made in late 23 or very early 24 as it’s a newer model and relatively recent addition to the Hofner range. I’ve enclosed pictures of the booklet which has the matching serial number to the inside label - you can even see the name of the craftsman handwritten on the label. Hofner really know how to make something special. I’m sure Hofner would be able to find the exact date for you if needed. If you want pictures of the inside label and serial number and are seriously interested please PM me.

Oh my oh my oh my! If I wasn't about to emigrate for good I would already be on a tube. If this lasts to the end of the day I'll be amazed. I have Ped's old Passion with the graphite neck and can safely say it is the most easy playing bass imaginable. And this one has even better looks as well. Whoever gets this will be very very lucky.

So sad @Tinman and @Mrs Tinman😿. I remember them when I first joined Basschat. I think that was around member the bbcleef ( I think that was how he was known as) was a regular among others. Regarding Kevin Riddles , a shame also . Saw angelwich quite a few times in London at the time of nwobhm. They had a lot of fans , and were expected to get bigger than what they were. I think it was obvious that maiden and Saxon would do very well . At the gigs , Kevin Riddles was doing it all to get things moving while Kevin heybourne was very quiet in comparison. They did manage to headline the Lyceum ( or did they support girlschool 🤔) and that seemed to be their biggest gig. My 15 year old friend at the time walked past sanctuary studios , followed the noise and was invited in to watch them rehearse . Nice touch.

The only problem with tap to pay on a phone is when the bank arbitrarily decide they want the purchaser to put in their pin. I've been caught out by that once and we didn't have the actual reader with us. Thankfully they had cash.

I seemed to have acquired a hissing sound resonating through my cab speaker when i am using my Sansamp which is connected to the FX Return jack on my Amp to the out Jack on the Sansamp. This hissing doesn't happen when i'm going directly into the Amp only when using the Sansamp.?Any ideas anyone. If this post is in the wrong place feel free to move it
