  2. Now £395 GAS is a a terrible thing. So there I was all content after a really good year, then boom and 'must have ' bass punched a mighty hole in the budget. So, my two latest acquisitions need new homes. They are brand effectively and we all know the G & L story so this is it, want a new one?, you wont find any better. Here is my surf green SB-2. Without question a bass out on its own, spicy MFD pickups (with their trademark adjustable pole pieces), Twin volume control which on other SB-2s i have found to be really easy to dial in a volume/tone needed. That said the modder in me has purchased the dual concentric knobs ready for a stacked volume tone per pickup (like the early Jazz basses). I can throw those in. This hasnt been gigged (one jam session tho..) so is 10/10 perfect. Vinyl wrapped black plate (easily removed if needed..plain black underneath). I know i'll regret letting this go, they are going to be a cult classic imho. This was bought literally a week before G & L went out of business, so one of the last out the door. Fully set up with EB slinkies set on all fressh and ready to go. I can arrange shipping at buyers expense insured (or uninsured at buyers risk).

    Kev's Feedback

I bought straps and leads from Kev. Very quick, well packed, good communications. I'd be pleased to deal with him again. Thanks Kev
  4. That's the programme's schtick. It's about the people not the objects. Sometimes the 'restorations' are risible.
  5. He looks really well and healthy in that picture. nice.
  6. For sale is this MM style 4-conductor pickup that came out of a DiMavery MM-501 bass. Not sure who makes them but I think it's a ceramic magnet. It sounded fine in the bass but I wanted to put an AlNiCo pickup in the bass. £20 posted to UK mainland. Here are the pics:
  7. That's really nice, surely someone who likes 4 strings and tuning down can use this! GLWTS!
  8. And anovver fing. That TV show, The Repair Shop. Why are they all so nice? They're definitely up to something. And why does everyone who goes on to get their tat fixed have to have a cry? Why won't they fix things for people whose parents are alive and healthy? Why do they insist the parents must be dead? "Can you fix my mums old egg whisk?" "Is she dead" "No, she's alright. I dropped her off at Ethels on my way here" "Im afraid we can't fix it if she's alive" "Thats a shame, I wanted it fixed" "Then the old bat has to go. We can deal with her if you're not up to it"
  9. Looks like you need another week on that sick-note……

  11. Just checked the starting post - fretless (my short term memory is a slight casualty of a recent event). Being fretless there is even more reason to go ahead. If the board breaks get an ebony board fitted as a bonus.
  12. Great ABG’s these, and that’s a great price.

  16. Could we stick a pin in this, and put it on the back burner? Thanks!
  17. Cool playlist. Thank you. Karl Clews is great:
  18. At the end of the day, problems can arise in any line of work, it’s how we deal with and rectify them that counts and it now seems they are doing all they can to solve the issue.so after a shaky start, well done to them for doing the right thing and I hope it proves a satisfactory outcome in the end x
  19. https://amzn.eu/d/04jnMmL2 There are a lot of generic gold anodised pick guards under £20, I’ve already been looking 😊
