  1. Past hour
  2. Back when I gigged I used to take my Overwater 5 out a bit because a) it always sounded great and b) it had already had a few knocks. However, because I was playing mostly smaller venues it felt overkill and I always thought I looked stupid. Finally I learned that a standard 4 string Fender P that was often left at home was exactly what was required.
  3. I love this album. I will definitely check this out. Great work.
  4. Lovely - I toss them up, you hit them out of the park! 😆 I'm overdue a watch of Tap, actually. I recently rewatched Fear of a Black Hat (the Hip Hop version of Tap - equally funny) so it's definitely time to smell the glove again.
  5. I've taken my cello the train - which is a real PITA as the only realistic solution is to have it on a seat and pray the train isn't too busy.
  6. Ir looks like the foot switches just push a microswitch on the PCB below. After mechanical switches, microswitches are one of those components that are not that reliable. However, that fact that the spring is not con physically connected to the microswitch. It looks like the spring has about 2 coils less on S1 than S3, although it does not look as though the sporing has broken. I have contacted Tech21 support for advice, but unless the PCB has moved away from the spring, it looks like a new spring may be all that is needed.
  7. Quick update to say I'll be in Manchester this coming weekend, the 14th and 15th June, if anyone near there is keen and it'll save on delivery costs.
  8. Why has no one given the Basschat answer of buy more stuff yet?! Buy separate pedals! I wear glasses all the time. Couldn’t cope with the MS70 screen. It’s not bold enough to be seen from up here (6’3’’).
  9. Don't really need anything to be honest
  10. It's a slow 'ol market at the moment unfortunately. I bought Chimike's DB750 last year, and that'd been up for a while I think. I've been looking and debating whether I should have a second one- as a fail safe. But unsure if I could really justify it- ha
  11. I’ve done this many times over the years. As long as you can place it in the overhead luggage rack if it gets busy you’ll be fine. Most of the time I’ve put it on an empty seat and no one batters an eyelid. Ive seen plenty of weird things that other people have brought onto a train. Some guy pushing a petrol driven lawnmower, someone with an old style apple iMac in a box they plugged in and worked from!
  12. The one I linked in my comment above is still for sale and is practically identical - worth a look! 👀
  13. Fender Mustang Bass 1970 For sale is my great vintage ’70 Mustang Bass in a sought after competition red finish with matching headstock. The bass is all original as far as I can tell, and is fitted with an uncommon pinkish pearl pickguard (as sometimes found on instruments from this era). The serial number says it’s from 1970, which is consistent with the matching headstock. The pots date back to week 51 of 1970. I don’t have a picture of the pickup bottoms; the pickguard is partly stuck to the body due to some chemichal reaction with the pickguard material (common issue with CAR finish), and I don’t want to force things when taking it off. The solder joints are untouched. The fretboard has some nice figuring on and appears to be brazilian rosewood. This bass has been used, and it has small damages and usermarks all around. Nothing serious though, it’s in a very good vintage condition considering the age. All hardware and electronics are functional. Two of the tuners are a bit stiff and might want some lubrication. The neck is straight, adjustable, and the frets are in good condition. I’ve added an angled shim to get the action lower while retaining a good breaking angle. It’s a very comfortable playing bass with a good action. Weight is 3,6kg on my kitchen scales. The bass is fitted with LaBella flats. The best choice for these basses imo, they bring a lot of character. Included is the original "salt ’n pepper" Victoria hardcase. Without any doubt this is the best Mustang Bass I've ever played. Though as I don't play this beauty as my first choice, it feels like a better decision to sell instead of keeping it (I've listed it before and withdrawn)... Asking €4.500 I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk. Partial trades (bass/guitar) are possibly negotiable, but straight sale is preferred. Upfront payment methods are the only ones accepted; cash on collection, banktransfer or PayPal as a gift.
  14. My BQ500 is exactly what I want - through two Ampeg Portaflex PF-115HE's it is an enormous sound and handles the mudbucker on my 1959 EB-0 with no problems. I cannot get it to distort so it is nice and clean for me! I keep my Ampeg B2-RE amplifier as a spare because the BQ500 is better for me. I run it flat out and it is loud enough for a full band with 2 guitars and keyboards playing rock,

  16. Or a warehouse full of returns, which maybe bargain priced. Let's wait and see.
  17. Yup, that's obvious but then again, there's reverse engineering....? As some manufacturers do, Behringer anyone ? 😉 I just want to save my tech & myself some time as during summer time he is overloaded w/ work - tourist season/live music all over & all that jazz.. Not being able to use my amp sucks and i'm hoping Epifani will not "punish me" for being a client of theirs for over 20 years and 3 rigs in a country that hasn't got an importer
  18. I begin with volume all the way up, balance slightly towards the bridge and bass & treble centered. I then set my preamp pedal to how I like it. The EQ on the bass is just used to make small adjustments.
  19. Cheers - I’ve been looking around and some have gone for a lot more, so hope the pricing is fair / good.
  20. Reduced to £150 - bargain or what!
  21. [Sigh..!] Such a pity; it could have been soooooo nice. ...
  22. That's works with me, I'll send you a PM with the details.
  23. I have these. Cool looking rimless varifocals in blue tint. My wife took one look at me wearing them and said, "well I'd sh*g you". They do look great even though I say so myself. I'm also on the blinder side of optically challenged, but I can see a set list and read the odd note on the floor on a darkened stage if the print is big enough. Rob
