Years subscription bought, good luck hope the venture goes well. Jonny -
That's very true for those that want to have pride in their artistic efforts. Unfortunately though, the goal for many isn't artistic integrity and having pride in what they've created - it's reaching the goal of making £ and presumably getting AI to fully compose music might be a way of achieving that. Perhaps this isn't true, but people are suggesting that companies like Spotify and Amazon music are using AI to create music and are promoting it on their playlists as they then don't need to pay royalties. e.g. Ask Alexa to 'play relaxing background music' and it is in their interest to play bland innofensive AI generated stuff they don't need to pay for.

I've found several websites were to buy them and they're cheap! Most importance is to find the right strenght, so 4 magnets hold the cover steady and it must be easy to open aswell.

Thanks! great idea, thats the best way to use a pick!

Mine is also engaged on power up. It also drives me mad. It is a lovely sounding chorus though. 😊 -

I'm increasingly teaching ethics and AI in a University. I use music as quite a good example. We need to see AI as a tool, and like any tool it can make some work more efficient, but we must not mistake quantity with quality. Generative AI in particular can create large quantities of music etc. very rapidly, but that doesn't mean it is any good. Conversly, in the right hands, AI can help creators generate really high quality work - for me the main benefit of AI in music is more in recording/remastering than composing (for instance). There's plenty of aphorisms about this but I quite like: "Those who are carried to a goal should not think they have reached it" regarding AI - it's one I use with my students and coursework!

Relisting this as, try as I might, I am not A Jazz Bass Guy. Original thread below, the only thing that’s changed since May is the bass is now wearing a nicely worn in set of La Bella IMA Super Polished strings. I’m in the market for a JMJ Mustang so would be interested in a trade involving one of those (plus cash adjustment on my end). Collection from Haywards Heath preferred, or I’d be happy to meet within 30 miles or so.

It wasn’t shiny, but it’s a lot less fragile and helps keep power requirements low enough to work off one Cioks output in its defence. It definitely isn’t cutting it though now and even on newer devices with touch screens their UI design is pretty atrocious. Their amp modelling is solid though and eventually they had a really solid offering. The effects are solid although sometimes not the most exciting. The thing that grated on me was the ecosystem, all the companion apps and patch sharing sites etc are so low quality and archaic. I also think the release cadence should be more consistent, a quarterly release with some fixes and bonus features/blocks keeps it exciting. Honestly, not a clue what they’d do for a flagship to compete with the other high end offerings. I don’t feel like they’d go down the capture route personally.

It always is. We're lucky that Airbourne always play our local as a warmup when they tour the UK. Ive seen them several times. I don't really listen to their records much but theyre such a great live band.

Used my A58 last night and I agree I’ve had 6-8hrs out of mine from the charge it came with from new ! Great wireless and sensible size too Nice little storage case included

For sale, my Octave Mandola OR Octave Mandolin (they are the same thing). Shorter scale than an Irish Bouzouki, this one is tuned GDAE in unison pairs (or courses). Condition is excellent, not quite mint and includes a nice TGI gig bag that is a perfect fit. Mandola is in Hope Valley (S33 6SB) for local collection or I could deliver locally too. Could attempt uk posting but it isn't as solid as a bass so I'd be a bit wary of that.

Easily. The only thing is the MXR has a few on-panel controls that the FI needs the editor or a MIDI controller to access (eg portamento time, waveform mixer levels and waveform shape, LFO speed). We could have added onboard controls for all parameters but it would’ve required a crib sheet or, if we’d added a naming system, it would have eaten up too much memory space.

I'm looking at a refret on my '63 Jazz. Any recommendations for having professional work carried out? I'm located YO62 North Yorkshire but can travel a reasonable distance. Cheers

Got a wee confession to make: I had a twinge of regret on missing out on that MXR synth pedal in the FS a couple of days back, which was snapped up before I'd even seen it listed! Having now seen what the v4.5 FI is capable of, that regret has been replaced with relief! Seems to me the updated FI can do everything the MXR can, and then some?
