  1. Past hour
  2. Nice job. "Scratch guard", eh? That's fence-sitting if there ever was.
  3. I am reluctantly selling my beautiful Ibanez SR755-NTF to fund a house move. It's a wonderful instrument, fantastic condition, with a bubinga top, maple body bolted to a jatoba and bubinga neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Abalone is inlaid in the fretboard. It's a really gorgeous bass. The model was discontinued after 2017. Components include a pair Nordstrand pickups with a P-style split-coil at the neck and a J-style single-coil at the bridge, an Accu-cast B305 solid bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, an EQB-IIIS 3-band EQ with bypass, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. The controls are Volume, balance, treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut, mid boost/cut, EQ bypass toggle and the pickup switch is active/passive. String spacing is 16.5MM, it has 24 frets and 34 inch scale. It’s a really light bass and really effortless to handle. The bass has been used for gigs but I’ve really looked after it so it's in fantastic condition. I really love this instrument, a joy to play, but I've hardly played recently so I can’t justify keeping. I haven’t seen many for sale over the last wee while. Fitted with D'Addario CB040 Chromes XL Flatwounds. Comes with a hard case. Willing to post within the UK at the buyers expense. Let me know if you would like to see any more pictures or videos at all.
  4. Now sold, thanks for all the interest.
  5. I've wondered that too. It's not because it rectifies any of the problems with the neck-thru design because both versions are very uncomfortable to play if you're used to a more conventionally-proportioned bass. To play a Thumb you've got to love them, because there are so many drawbacks regarding the ergonomics. Still a great sound, though.
  6. I'll listen on Youtube as Amazon are looking for £109 for the CD. Dave
  7. And replied 🤟
  8. This is a very tough, but relatively lightweight (7kg) 4U rack case. Very solidly built, with two butterfly catches to hold each end piece in place and moulded, recessed handles There is a shallow version, but this is the deeper one with 46cm between the front and back rack strips (just over 50cm front rack strip to back of case) Overall external size is 55cm wide x 23cm high x 61cm deep Rack screws included Pickup from Uxbridge area, or I'll courier 48hr for £13
  9. Hope you don't mind me piggybacking your thread Gunsfreddy. If I have a passive p bass, but run through a Cali 76 18v comp pedal, should I look for a passive rather than active DI box? Thanks
  10. Our neighbour is called Bruce, his neighbour called their dog Bruce. They claim it was an accident 🤔
  11. Very natural, very organic - as if the body has been worn to shape by wind erosion. Lovely.
  12. ATTENTION! No Messing About at the back , get stuck in
  13. I have the VIP with recent firmware (possibly current? Would need to check), and the usb interface is I think one you have had working. It does talk to the FI4 but seemed erratic when adjusting settings and loading/initialising patches. One issue is not knowing what 'correct' operation is meant to look like when editing patches especially when learning my way around a new synth architecture. I'm generally not a huge fan of learning from videos, but a clear, dry tutorial on building a 'classic' patch (eg Chameleon) from a freshly initialised patch would actually be very helpful for unlocking and showcasing the power of this pedal.
  14. A pinch and a punch for the first of the month , well a round of applause and a pat on the back maybe for both @Chiliwailer and @Wolfram , tied winners in September with superb compositions. Well, onwards and upwards, so to get those itchy fingers back to the instruments , Wolfram has supplied the following for your inspiration. "I glimpsed this ad on the Underground a while back - I was previously unaware that 'non-toxic' was a key selling point for an air fryer! Let's hear your ad jingles, weird and wonderful product endorsements, or songs about air fryers 😆." ✅ Entries must be <5 minutes and recorded between now and the deadline. ❌ No illegal samples, copyright infringements or other snide goings-on ❌ No Bagpipes, Please, I think they would suffer from the tubular reverberation and sound a bit off. ❌ No voting for your own entry. We'll know. And we'll shame you.. Deadline-wise, we will go for Midnight on the 25th September ... Which really means the last day of summertime , dark nights and closed neighbours windows , thus I can sing as loud as I like A line or two of blurb as usual for the vote thread will be super duper smashing lovely. Good luck, Have fun
  15. Oooh - that’s nice…
  16. Frankly it smokes the MXR and can do that sound with ease (presuming you mean the first patch).
  17. Wow 😮
  18. Hes the one who wrote the Ozzy Osborne albums that are credited to Ozzy.
  19. EBay have been going through a lot of ‘changes’ over the last year or so . Probably longer . Finnicky ,and initially hard to get to grips with all the goings on I find . Don’t forget DHL have been taken over by EVRI ! My hunch is that EVRI are the culprits here! Also ,EVRI are being forced upon us if we use Next , M&S, John Lewis etc . Fwiw EVRI time I get deliveries from them ( apart from one occasion) , they are always late! The app only changes when you receive an email advising you that they will be indeed late ! When a parcel is due to arrive between 1-3 pm and doesn’t arrive until just before 10.30 pm you know that they are crap . Next have refunded me . I allow a few hrs, but if it’s after8 pm I complain on the next app! As for dealing with eBay sellers, I always ask what courier they use. One seller gave a snotty response so I advised them they lost a sale ! Also , the only real way to find out who the eBay seller uses is to press the ‘buy it now ‘ button . Then decide if you want to proceed or not . I stick with Royal Mail or dpd as much as I can . No courier co is perfect , but EVRI are absolute crap ! ( just my observation )
  20. I had a little bit of fun with my aux pedal from @pedalnetics and some craft paint. I don't foresee any changes to this simplified pedal board for a very long time. (However I have said similarly before!)
  21. Today
  22. Pm’d earlier RE Broughton 👍🏻
  23. Wise works fine, but depending on the amount the fees can hit the receiver. If you want another option to compare, check out Ria Money Transfer. I’ve used it for US → Canada before, money landed quick and the fees were lower than what I got with Wise. Worth running the numbers side by side before sending.
  24. So I went with A for the front. It’s a thin body (32mm) and slightly smaller than a P size so it will be an interesting project to see how everything fits. I will definitely have to go for lightweight tuners to combat neck dive. Part of me is thinking about doing a short scale.
  25. My dear father named our cat after the neighbours just do he could annoy them when calling for her to come in
  26. Hi, I hadn't included postage tbf
