You might be better off with Grindr then. -
Look forward to seeing whatever you go with!

I’ve always sung backing and some lead. I think the secret is not try and play too complicated a bass line. Sting was a good example. With time it becomes more natural and your bass lines will become more technical.

Just bought Sean's Ibanez ATK. All went very smoothly, a decent chap with an excellent name. Cheers from Sean...

This dealer pops up on my FB. They have a gorgeous mint OW p bass just in stock. Some nice gear, although the highest pricing. https://www.guitarbroker.com/product-category/bass-guitars/?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwL13e1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHkpxgd69CVPoqD0Xlc5W_tuONjkMqIPAQ3VjzdihC7OhQiP5AR25oxzQ4lH2_aem_auajZQqWdeqJA2QvLhmKzA

2010 US Stingray, 2EQ, CAR with rosewood board. One of the limited edition 133 basses, full fat ‘ray but with a soft gig bag case instead of a hard shell job. This is in excellent condition with one very minor ding on the top edge, and the pickguard is quite marked but obviously easily replaceable. Comes with a Hipshot D-tuner (long key though instead of short… doh), if you want the original tuner key I’ll chuck it in. I’ve also replaced the pickup with a Nordstrand MM4.2, which sounds flippin’ great. She’s quite heavy (10lb) but with a decent wide strap it feels ok. Loathe to post this but can at buyer’s (insured) expense, or can meet in person at either Portsmouth, Southsea, Southampton or Lymington (I’m on the I.O.W.)

There's the American Performer P bass in the current lineup.

I'd take the spec on these websites with a large pinch of salt. They are usually incorrect, especially at this price range.

Harley Benton flats - they're a bit good!

OK, as they are silly cheap, I ordered three sets, including one for my brother who wants to try flats. First impression - packaged in an attractive, nicely finished proper box, not an envelope. In individual sealed plastic envelopes with very clear numbering. Other brands could do this, it feels premium compared to most brands. Colour coded ball ends, though not as nicely finished as Fender ball ends. Red silk wraps. Feel surprisingly slinky. Lighter gauge than the Fender flats I took off, so hard to make a really fair comparison. The HB strings are marked as 45-100 and measured as 44-99. The Fenders 55-105 measure as 56-104, both sets are stainless steel. Very clear the wrap pitch is much narrower on the Harley Benton strings, which should make them slinkier for a given diameter. Bent over the ends before cutting and no problems with the wrap slipping (presumably helped by the hex core. They also feel smoother than the Fenders, appear to be closer wound. Sounded much brighter/richer than the fenders, with tension much lower than I'd expect from the diameter difference. I had to slack off the truss rod by at least half a turn. Lower tension feels much better. I suspect a lot of this is the 45-100. So if they bear up and keep some of their richness, these are a much better score than the Fender flats for me. Obviously comparing with Fender 45-100 would be fairer, but at less than 1/3 the cost these are a great deal. I will try their rounds as well. -

the bass was easily the best thing about it ...that's my diplomatic answer ..oh and .the singing is dreadful. -
Wow! Lots of comments, and some great ideas for the colour. I have been looking at the EB catalogue and I do like the look of what I think they call HD yellow? With the black plate and black hardware, it looks pretty cool… plus a solid colour will be cheaper! although I wonder what that would look like with a metallic finish?? I’m going to strip it first and see what the grain looks like and go from there… I will upload some pics of how it transforms, although won’t be for a little while as I need it for a few gigs first…

I've never had this problem. However I've always turned up with my own DI boxes already in the appropriate (for me) part of the signal chain. I think most of the time the SE is relieved that they won't need to unplug one of the few DI boxes they are already using for something else that they never question what sort of signal they will be getting from me. Also because I'm playing Bass VI and producing both "guitar" and "bass" sounds if it looks like there's a possibility of being EQ'd into mush I start by giving them a "guitar" sound and once I'm happy with that I'll switch to a "bass" patch play a couple of bars and declare that it sounds great and would they like to move on to our backing track? That seems to work. Because I've already set the EQ for the different sounds I use on the Helix getting a good "guitar" sound means that I'll automatically get the "bass" sound I want.

Interesting, I’ve seen a similar trans orange from fender but not fiesta red. Although I used to have a trans finish jazz bass and I think it was described as crimson red.

I had this exact thing at a scooter rally a few weeks ago. Klark Teknik on the frontline with a long cable plugged in. I just plugged it in after my board and thankfully there were no problems but I did wonder what would happen if it came to a disagreement. It can't go before my board as I'm wireless and said wireless is my tuner. It's not going between the wireless and the modeller as I use the pitch shifter. Even if I didn't I am NOT rewiring a board on stage with 5 minutes until the first song. So it's after, that's the only choice.

So, I bought this as a Maple Neck and pretty much unmarked 3TSB body combo (matching headstock), nicely pre-routed for a battery box (this is a MB4 which is passive normally) I built this up as a gigging bass so have chosen nice hardware. Sub 4 pre amp and controls plate. pre 2017 style Mman bridge. Dual coil DELANO pickup Series/Parallel switching Fret End dressed so no finger biters here. The fretting is really good considering to price point. Takes a good low action and I have bevel filed the fret ends so good to go. 'ray scratchplate. Currently strung with flats (a la Bernard Edwards). I have gigged this bass and it sounds and plays great. Not heavy or Noisy. No issues, i just dont play 4 string as much as i did. Meet up anywhere around the m25, also can post for an additional £30, always insured. Pickup from Rochester is also an option.
