To some people, Neil Peart was Rush and there is a quite fanatical (ahem) fan base, so I can see why it's happening. There are other bands who've gone down that route though: Yes without Anderson and/or Squire, Deep Purple without Blackmore, The Who without Keith Moon, The Jam without Weller, etc.; they tread a thin line between being authentic and being a tribute with varying success. I'm happy that the two remaining members want to play their songs and good luck to them. However, I won't be going to the gigs: dynamic pricing is a rip-off and the O2 is a soulless venue; I want to actually see the musicians who are playing and if I have to watch them on a screen then I'll wait for the video so I can watch it at home. I commented earlier about them cashing in and it's up to folks whether they want to pay; they've done it on some of their reissues as well, where the only way to get the hd Steven Wilson album remixes is to buy a £300 limited edition box set of each album; that's a no from me (and contrast with Yes doing the lot for around £50). If they do new material and an album I'll probably buy it.

Same! I ditched my cali and empress after the comp update Anagram. I can do a squishy to pumping kind of compression or even light and making my notes breath nicely which is how I dial it on my Cali. in fact I sold everything and just been using the Anagram.

Walshy has the rather excellent Nobelium's in stock, I bought one a couple of weeks back and love it, I too really liked the Regal DI on the Stomp and wanted a Noble and the Nobelium hits the mark!

“Rush” UK Tour March 2027

Lorne Wheaton is coming out of retirement for this tour. -
Hello, I'm parting ways with my beloved JV Jazz from 1983. Light as a feather weighing only 3.7 kg's. Sounds exactly like a 60's Jazz without breaking the bank. It being an over 40 year old bass, has had its scratches which don't impact the sound whatsoever. Action can go really low and the truss rod works perfectly. It's all original (i have the original knobs and strap buttons) It comes with brand new Hipshot tuners. The perfect alternative for a vintage Fender. Very comfortable to play. Let me know if you need more info or pictures. Pickup in NW10 London. Cheers

“Rush” UK Tour March 2027

The amount of 'no Neil/no Rush' commentary online is as ridiculous as it is incredible; I've also seen multiple posts from rabid fanboys questioning whether Annika Nilles will be playing Peart's old drum kits (and utilising the services of his old drum tech/techs, to boot), why they went with a female drummer, why have they called this Rush? and why they didn't choose Mike Portnoy. I don't think these points are particularly hateful, I just believe these are fans (primarily men) that are of the belief that with Neil dead, the band should die with him. Honestly, you really need to question the mindset of these people. In Lifeson and Lee, you have two of the most successful musicians on the planet; they've not gone out on tour for a decade in any shape or form. For the love of god, why can't this just be a celebration of all things Rush? Geddy and Alex have conducted themselves admirely considering their loss; walk with grief, but don't stop enjoying life. All said and done, I'm staying home. I saw them enough times from the first UK tour. Ticket prices are ridiculous and the London venue is a place I abhor. I'll wait for the inevitable Blu-ray. -
I’m particularly excited to try the Luce after my Linden EQ and also after the Regal patch on the HX Stomp, just to see if it can add that kinda ‘3D’ sound to those already very useful EQ’s. Si

One more idea is to use a tone switch. Behind it there's a trimmer and a cap. Set and forget.

I swapped out my Stomp for the Anagram. No regrets. After the comps were updated ditched my comp as well. There is less "stuff" available at present on the Anagram but I find its way easier to dial in a good sound. I now just have Anagram plus an SA C4. I use a Morningstar midi controller to give me a bunch more buttons and access all the patches on the C4. If I'm totally honest I could ditch the C4 for and probably go pretty much with just the Anagram but fun.

Thankfully here's no such thing as failure below T2 for other musical stuff. Otherwise things would be evennmore pedantic than they are. I therefore propse for next year: T3 - other hobbies, T4 - technical crap that looked interesting at the time T5 - clothing other than replacement underwear, T6 - toiletries, T7 - food other than home cooked, T8 - food.

Hi folks I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on an Anagram but I'm wondering how it would fit with my current board. Currently my effects are Cali76 compact, a Stomp XL, Dark Glass Alpha Omicron, a Strobostomp and a Jad Freer Capo. Currently I use the HX Stomp for modulation, octaves and that those kind of things and also triggering the DarkGlass overdrive. I'm using the stomp in the Capo's effects loop to position effects pre and post the preamp. I'm quite happy with the current set up but the Anagram is calling to me 😬. Currently the Capo is at the end of my chain and that goes to the desk but I'm thinking of having the Capo in the effects loop of the Anagram and maybe using it before the Anagram's amp sims and then to the desk. I could maybe dispense with a couple of pedals. Is that sensible?!
