  2. Now priced at £325 - I have to go to the Post Office every day this week so discounting the trip to save me an extra journey later! ... I've been collecting and pedal-testing solidly since COVID but a lot's been happening this year and, as my priorities are changing, it's time to start letting some of these pedals go, including those that six months ago it would have been unthinkable selling. I recently listed a couple of Doom 2s, one in Cosmic finish and a high gain unit in Jade Sparkle. This time I've got a Bronze Age unit on the block from the March 2025 edition of 111 for £360. The unit is the standard gain model and is basically new in box. The price includes Royal Mail Special Delivery UK postage. I'm not really looking for trades at this point but there are a handful of pedals I'm curious about: COG T-70 v2; Hamstead Subspace GE, and Chase Bliss Spectre.
  3. There was a recent post somewhere on the forum about a battery tester which plugs directly into the jack socket. I can't remember where now, but it may be of some use. I've had a quick look but can't find it.
  4. Excellent condition H90 bundled with Bright Onion switch & flat TRS patch cable. Clean Velcro applied to underside. I will de-register the unit upon completion of sale. Original packaging & price includes UK postage.

  5. Just seen a clip of British Lion and it looks like 'arry's got either a new bass or a new refin, (or at least one I've not seen him with before) but it's not the 50th Anniversary job.
  6. Hi all, Here we have my Yamaha DBR10 powered PA speaker/monitor. Bought new in July/ August 2024 and used on less than 10 gigs. Still have the manuals somewhere too! Selling as I'm going back to using cabs, as light and convenient as this has been! Here's the blurb from Yamaha; The DBR10 Active PA speaker features the same Yamaha state-of-the-art DSP technology inherited from its predecessors, ensuring superior performance and versatility, and safe, consistent operation. The DBR10 can project deep bass, clear midrange and accurate high frequencies to the outer-most edges of a very wide coverage area and can boast 700W of power. The design incorporates an optimised 50° wedge angle for floor monitoring use and is also, for its size, the most portable powered speaker currently offered by Yamaha. Max Power700W Maximum SPL129dB Frequency range55Hz ~ 20kHz LF10" cone HF1" diaphragm CoverageH90 x V60 Weight 10.5Kg Condition wise there are some scuffs on the plastic where it's been on the floor as a monitor, but the grille etc is unmarked. Also, it's not really been pushed at all and I've used the built in 70hz HPF at all times. Don't have the ability to post this, but will meet up anywhere really within reason. I'm based in Moreton in Marsh on the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire/Warwickshire border. Any questions, feel free to ask!

  8. Hi. Thank you all for your inputs. @stevie I tried bypassing the low filter straight to drivers but still clipping. @Bill Fitzmaurice I did use the WinISD program so probably this is where the fault lies. I have attached a diagram of my cabinet measurements. One thing I didn't build into the cab was a dividing shelf between the 2 drivers! Could this be my problem?. Thanks
  9. Oh, well played! 👏👏👏 Blanketweed On The Ground - Billie Jo Spears
  10. Selling my MarkBass Little Mark IV 500w bass head as it isn’t getting played Purchased new in 2025 and mint condition with original box and mains lead price can include shipping in UK for an extra £10
  11. If you get the Tobias I hope you will like it better than this 😉 (looks am.....! 🔥
  12. Bump for added sale option. Would consider trades for Fender P / PJ 5 string or Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 5.
  13. Algae And All Of The Night - The Kinks
  14. If you have a multimeter, you could check to see if there's still a current drain when the jack plug is disconnected. Just unclip one side of the battery and connect the multimeter, on a low current range, between battery and clip.
  15. Hah, just realised this is my venue Riff Factory! I love your set mate, great band!
  16. High quality fuzz with some great sounds including Velcro tearing gated fuzz for some synthy action plus more traditional fuzz noises. In the original box with some feet and a sticker. Velcro’d on the bottom plus free of charge carpet fluff. I’m trying to free up cash for a BassRig 15 so not a massive interest in trades / part-ex unless there’s a Cioks DC7 or a GigRig QMX4 involved.
  17. One is from up north. One is from across the pond. It's probably that simple.
  18. Yeah it’s got a definite “stable” vibe on that pic! I’ve only been there for the guitar Christmas shows but yeah maybe it doubles up as a gazebo in the summer….
  19. Demn you, @Leonard Smalls! I'm too poor to read your posts!

  21. I'd class that as easy listening proggyjazzrock, with a relatively straightahead rock groove! Here's a bass player who's just as good as La Dey but doesn't do dodgy ads for toxic slushies, and goes off-piste a bit more! One of my fave albums, btw... And in slightly less easy-listening news here's another bass player who despite often venturing quite well off-piste still manages to groove. And no influencer nonsense, though he had the "pleasure" of producing (arguably) John Lydon's best work... Waddya reckon, Sapko? 😁
  22. Excellent work, good luck!
  23. I am not sure that the clash is about how they play bass. It seems to me they can both play well and will appeal to different audiences. For me it’s more of a cultural clash between being a blinged up, revenue driven persona and a more down to earth, less sell your soul kind of ethos.
  24. You can do anodising in the garage , it is affected by cold weather but you need to heat the solutions up anyway, you do have high current and the chemicals aren't fantastic, TBH they aren't very good at all,, but decent space, power, fresh air, respirator and slightly loose lids on containers make it potentially doable outside in the garage. Not that I'm looking to try it (yet). Painting with these special tough paints, especially with a roller, seems less desirable. I have to confess to using some paints and stuff sometime ago that stank to high heaven, and for some reason t'CFO isn't keen to repeat the exercise. I have no sense of smell (lost it 2014) so I have no issues which is part of the problem, she can smell it and I can't. Rob
  25. Used 5 string set of Status hotwires, 45-130 double ball roundwounds. Fitted to a Status S2 classic and played at one rehearsal then removed immediately. Wanted to try some heavier strings than my usual gauge but they definitely weren't for me. £12 posted within the UK
  26. Wikipedia has an exhaustive article on 9v batteries ... Wikipedia : 9v Batteries ... ... in which we learn that alcaline PP3's have much longer life (ma/h...) compared to NiMH. Lithium can last much longer yet, but will cost ten times more per battery. I would suggest that you invest in a battery tester, and test your alcalines before playing, so as not to change before it's necessary, and to include the cost of battery replacement as an inevitable cost of playing. Lithium batteries of the right type will mean changing less often, but at a much higher price. Your call, of course... Hope this helps.
