  1. Past hour
  2. Just to be clear the price I am asking is £3000. That being said I am sure anyone who might have an interest in a Bass of this quality and condition would drop me a message to negotiate.
  3. Don't Try Suicide - Queen
  4. I’ve been bandless for coming up to a year and I did need the break but just as I was thinking about finding a new one, this thread reminds me of all the reasons I might not bother…
  5. I had one of these. As @Canzonasays, they have the sound and feel of a full sized acoustic upright, but in a smaller bodied instrument. I wish I could have justified keeping mine, especially as these will now surely appreciate in value, since being discontinued. GLWTS
  6. Impressive, Chris. That's a hell of a piece of work. Did you work out the chords yourself (I really struggle with that)?
  7. Jump! - Van Halen
  8. @Paulhauser followed your advice. Sold the Euro as I just could not make it work for me. Still have the Starr, my only "not for sale" bass. Killer combo -solid maple wings, EMGs and the US Haz (originally came with the TP, but I got it replaced with a Haz when they were still available to buy). Man, times, flies, they introduced it more than 10 years ago! Check out this video from the launch event at NAMM in Jan 2015. It shows Mike Starr's sister Melinda, Stuart Spector, and PJ Rubal. Don't know who the bloke on the left is. Any idea?) The video features one of my fav basslines. The one that really got me wanting to buy a Spector. If I would, could you?
  9. Grasshopper ~ The Mamas & The Papas
  10. I concur on both points
  11. Has anyone wide experience of using specialised dep musicians? Or maybe you work as a regular dep. If so how has it gone for you and what do charge/pay for a typical gig? We've been trying to get a project going for a while and keep stumbling over finding a decent guitarist. Quite simply most of them struggle to work outside of their usual genre and fail to learn the songs. We don't gig frequently enough to attract pro musicians to join the band and the amateurs are too amateur. We started out with a great drummer and guitarist and played three gigs to an enthusiastic reception from the audiences and re-bookings from the venues. The guitarist left due to changes in his circumstances and the drummer sold her house and moved. I've used a number of drummers as deps and it has always been great. Dep guitarists have been mixed with one turning up for a run through knowing every song in the set with around a weeks notice and at the other extreme having to turn the guitar off in the monitors so we could get through the songs. I've talked to some of the function bands round here and the use of deps is fairly extensive and these bands sound great. Using deps wopuld let us go on developing the band and building up contacts whilst looking out for a long term band member.
  12. 2019 Yamaha BB-734a in coffee sunburst in great condition, all fully set up with 105-45 rounds on so good to go and oiled fretboard. Comes in a Thomann non-original but surprisingly very good hard case. A fantastic playing and capable bass, but I played it more as passive.... I have a 2024X to do that though. Happy to post at buyers cost with a courier of their choosing if need be.

  14. Beautiful finish!
  15. You may be pleasantly surprised. I'm specifically referring to Sunbeams.
  16. Bump - due to osteoarthritis in my fingers I’m just not playing much these days and thus moving on this beauty, the nicest bass I’ve ever owned. price reduced to £1650 to move it on.
  17. Ibanez SRMS805, 5 string multiscale, for sale. In good overall condition, the only things to note are: * there are a few marks and scratches on the back of the body ( see photos ) * there’s a screw missing from the B string bridge. No problem when string at tension and probably easy to replace. * there are a couple of tiny dings around the neck and headstock. Very small and nothing that you notice when playing. * A few marks from the strings on the pickup covers. No case or gig bag. Shipping (in an old hard case) can be arranged at buyers expense.

  18. But I have everything, surely you want a little piece of everything 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😅
  19. I placed felt panels between them, admittedly I still had to be careful moving them in and out, but it remained a very nice - and as my daughters put it, very aesthetic - solution for bass storage 👍
  20. Im afraid not Ste.
  21. Just to confirm, this is the latest model. It's also an absolute bargain.
  22. This is a mk1 Digitone in very good condition with original psu, no box. Loaded with a bunch of additional presets, and I have a print-out of the manual and cheat sheet. The only issue with it is that the volume encoder is a bit wobbly. Apparently this is quite common with some of the older Elektron boxes, looking at the Elektronauts forum, and it does not affect the function. Still, I’m listing it with a decent discount just in case it needed seeing to down the line. Meet-up preferred in London/Margate but can ship Parcelforce 24.

  23. How have you partitioned this up to separate the basses @Beedster?
