  1. Past hour
  2. You have obviously been to better quality ones than I have!
  3. I can tell from the tuning machines and tort pickguard that the pictures show a real pre-CBS bass and not a custom shop. For that price it will be a scam. I'd guess the real Andrew from Middlesbrough has had his account hacked. He does have decent feedback, but only as a buyer. There are none for him as a seller. The scammer is probably abroad and has set the price at $5000 without using a UK located VPN, hence the odd price. There's no way someone who has bought 22 items on Reverb would not know a realistic price for this. If it looks too good to be true, it is.
  4. how long do you need 😁 I can hear the clanks and groans of a PC firing up !
  5. That was an idea I’d had for one of the remaining FI4 apps but it’s not likely to happen now due to another issue.
  6. Hello Collective... How do they compare to the equivalent Motu M2 and M4 units? The Motu's are more expensive. Are they worth the price difference....? Thanks.
  7. There was a little discussion about those Gretsch CVTs last year on this thread. I guess it’s good to have another medium scale bass on the market but I don’t really understand the significant price hike over the Junior Jet.
  8. Looks good, I want one! This seems more innovative and interesting than any pedal announced by the big companies at NAMM. Triggering recorded samples I think being unique for a guitar/bass pitch tracking pedal? I'm also interested in using it as a synth midi controlled by a keyboard, my keyboard is piano and organ type stuff and limited synth stuff (basically samples) so plugging this in could really expand that. I know the FI can do that, but this seems to have more hands on editing and the screen. I'm guessing it'll not be cheap, something like £500?
  9. Hi guys, For anyone interested in NAM captures, I am currently creating a series of captures of my Goliath FX Desolation bass distortion pedal. Essentially its a dual bass overdrive, one side being, what I believe is a TS9 style overdrive that can run in series or parallel with a RAT based distortion. https://www.tone3000.com/tones/goliath-fx-desolation--51904 IMG_5712.HEIC
  10. That 64 Jazz looks stunning! Looks pretty original to my moderately trained eye?!
  11. Not much of a description but very good feedback on musical gear. Could be authentic and doesn’t like ripping people off?
  12. How did you get on?
  13. Battle of the fans? Many years ago, my then band won a BotB, and because of this the following year we were invited to play a festival at the home town's twin town in Europe, all expenses paid. Plus lots of publicity in the local rags for winning. So all good 😊
  14. Those were my exact thoughts too miles, I’m messaging now

  16. Strange price, especially for Reverb. Hard to tell from that screenshot Tony but could it be a custom shop Jazz? Either that or it could possibly be a seller typo by missing a "1" at the front of the price in their haste to post 😄. (Or option #3 - it's a scam.)
  17. Just noticed the quick-load bridge - what a stonking idea! Nice bass, too 👍
  18. This latest transcription is flawed but I cannot see where the problem is. The piece is a solo bass performance of the Miles Davis tune 'The Theme' by Australian bass player Linda may Han Oh. An incredibly strong player, the improvisation is brilliantly put together and there is an awful lot to chew on here but the transcription goes out of synch with the form and I cannot find out where the problem is. It is too good to leave on the shelf so here it is in all it's flawed glory! It's great to read this along with Oh's performance, even if you can't play it. It is not impossible but it is not easy either. It is an improvisation not a composition to I guess it is not supposed to be 'played' but it is a joy to hear, nevertheless. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/the-theme-solo-bass-performance-linda-may-han-oh/

  22. @rwillett have we reached a point where we can start an attendee/gear list?
  23. SWMBO has decreed that I have enough basses... Problem is she can't tell the difference between a MIM Fender Jazz and an American Professional II Precision... as long as they're both in Sunburst. So, this one is being quietly sold to make way... It's a 2014 Standard Jazz (Mexico), has a couple of dings - one on the head and the other just next to the bridge - both fairly small. Otherwise in good shape - usual scuffs on pickguard and pickup covers. Hard case included in sale. Cash on collection from Effingham (near Leatherhead/Guildford) in Surrey. You're most welcome to try before you buy.
