  2. Oh Apologies matey, have a lovely rest of holiday and hopefully chat when you get back.
  3. @Lord Sausage Huge musical composition. Keeps turning up new and interesting melodies and ideas all the way through. Some stunning playing in there too.
  4. I just remembered that I forgot to mention the tuners. Again, these were Ali Express left handed ones. I can't remember how much they were but I think it was less than a tenner. I will edit my earlier costs post. ..
  5. Hello everyone, I started learning last year, and have a lesson every week with generally a lot of practice in between. I do have a number of other interests so I confess that I don't always do as much as is needed, but I'm making progress and enjoy every minute. Although I have always loved Rock (I'm a closet Prog-Rocker!), at 73 I'm arguably a bit old to be the next rock god (laugh dammit, that was a joke!), so I'm biting the bullet and learning to read and play Jazz. My first, and current, bass is a P-J style Epiphone Power bass. A much maligned 4-string instrument, it does have one big negative - of which more in a question I will ask in the appropriate place. Otherwise, I love it. That's probably more than enough about me for now, so thanks for reading this far! Rover
  6. In the 1980s even Cliff Williams played a headless bass 😁
  7. Ok, I'm done. I'm not 100% happy with the mix and it's a couple of seconds over. I've cut a minute off it and I can't take any more off. It just sounds weird to me now because of the cuts.😆 So I've had enough. It is what it is. Like I said. Based on the E7 triad riff and I mess with the scales each time round. Affecting(contorting) the melody, chords etc. Listen to Echoes of the Altered by Dreaded Ted & The Nutters on #SoundCloud
  8. Let the chips fall where they may. Also avoid Oct 11-12th - that's the SW bash...
  9. My Girlfriend's Girlfriend - Type O Negative
  10. Moving this one to fund a pedal ive seen. No box but will be packed very securely. Velcro on bottom but in good working condition. Can be posted in UK within the above price

  11. It's because frequency cancellation, a side-effect of two pickups in parallel². The closer the pickups are together, the stronger the effect. When that happens, the midrange gets reduced. Can be solved by not having both pickups at 100%. (² like that glassy sound on a Stratocaster on positions 2 & 4)
  12. I think you might have to pick a date and go for it. Exception being avoiding school holiday weekends- that makes sense. It’s going to be impossible to find a date that works for everyone.
  13. Nah. By playing a reverse fretless surely.
  14. Selling my Kemper rack unpowered and footswitch I got a couple of months ago. It sounds great but in all honesty I just can't be bothered figuring out how to use the thing properly so going to sell this to fund a Neural Quad Cortex. It has some presets/performances etc pre loaded from the previous owner. Physical condition has some marks etc but works exactly as it should! Happy to ship at cost (not sure how much this would cost to ship yet). Save yourself a chunk of money off new. Looking £900 which seems to be a fair bit below the cheapest ive seen sold on here.
  15. Looks very tasty that does. Hat is firmly off to you 👍
  16. Maybe avoid half term weekends? 25/26 October and 1/2 November. But that’s not really a deal breaker. Otherwise no preference.
  17. Nice. The original Arpege body shape is fantastic. It's a shame, but understandable, that he reined it in a bit with the later models.
  18. We changed to a female vocalist about 6 years ago. Got rid of all the old staid 'Dad Rock' stuff and now play Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa, etc. It is great fun coming up with arrangements that a power trio can pull off. No synth, brass, strings or backing singers, but the rhythm, lyrics, melody and chords are there and it works.
  19. It's a fab little pedal, I'm just having a clear out!
  20. Being sent audio of the last originals rehearsal. Sound quality is awful, reverberation and hardly any bass. Some of the songs are a bit ordinary, but one or two could prove real bangers. I won't share because the quality is seriously poor.

  22. <sigh> I am migrating to a new Mac Mini M4. I have just tried to put my paid for, Olde Worlde Waves plugins on to it. Waves is asking me to load Rosetta or spend more money on new stuff. Waves can take a running jump. It is really frustrating. The guitar amp just worked for what I wanted. I whacked it on and got on with whatever else I was doing. I know I can go to NAM or any number of other things, but ...............grrrrrrrrr.........
  23. Bartolini 6RC Pickup. This is a direct drop-in for your Rickenbacker bridge pickup. Only selling as I am using an alternative in my 4003. Just a bit of shine on the top of the pup where the string rubs a little. Bass Direct have these new at £118 < only asking £75, UK postage included. PM for any more info, thanks for looking! SB 😀
  24. I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, but check out Ian Martin Allison’s “vintage synth bass” helix preset pack. It’s very similar to some of the presets he’s dialled in for the mxr pedal - especially the Phillinganes moog type tones. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKGCye6O_Ak/?igsh=MWVwOXZvcHpsZjJtbg== https://ianmartinallison.com/store/vintage-synth-pack
  25. These are very deceptive - and very loud - amps. Don''t think for a momentt that they are in any way... er... elfin.
  26. Nordstrand Nordbocker Pickup Direct drop-in for a Rickenbacker neck pickup. Excellent condition, only selling as I’ve decided on using a different pup in my 4003. Only asking £65 for this, UK postage included. Payment by PayPal ‘gift’ please. PM for any more info, thanks for looking! SB 😀
