  1. Past hour
  2. Not half. Did you the one where some arse said he was regretting not buying one 25 years, even though the shop manager told they were built by the Fender brothers George and Leo 🤣🤣🤣 Way I see things G&L struggled because A. they concentrated mostly on the US market. B. they traded on myths centred around an old guy who died in his 80's 30 odd years back. Sad though if they wind up down the tubes as they paid the best money. Their hourly rate was $19.50, pish when compared to the In 'n' Out burger chain's $21ph starting rate but better than the $16 Ernie Ball pays or the $18 you get at Fender Corona.
  3. Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK

  4. We had several rubber floor mats at church that we used to use over cable runs, before I rewired the stage with sockets on top and cables underneath. I'll see if I can find them. That's looks decent quality and good value. I might just order a length anyway
  5. That was a huge factor in my getting a Fender Rumble 800 210 combo. At 13kg it’s the same weight as one of my Ashdown 210 cabs (of which I have two). So as well as reducing the weight (and number) of the large-ish items I need to carry I now don’t need to carry an amp head & speaker leads, plus the inevitable bending over plugging them all in, just combo & mains lead, much less stress on the back.
  6. Hi everyone! Selling my Jad Freer Capo. Absolutely brilliant preamp but not being used due to the current work I’m doing. Selling for £500! Collection or meet up preferred but also happy to deliver to mainland UK. Feel free to message if you have any questions
  7. I've programmed some patches that sound great through headphones on my multi FX. I just hope they won't take too much tweaking at band practice tomorrow when going through an amp .

  8. Analog cab simulation, very tweakable, includes adjustable HPF, EQ, it works as a headphone amp, and with TS and balanced XLR outputs. Great condition, just a bit dusty...
  9. Meet Me On The Corner - Lindisfarne
  10. Aaargh, choices, choices!! The M5s and SE7s are both around the same price (£140) for a pair and I am struggling to choose between them - I suspect that this is one of those cases where there’s no wrong answer as both seem like they’ll do exactly what I need. SE7s have the low cut and pad switches but I have gain control and a low cut on my interface so I don’t need those features on the mics. But then again….
  11. I can highly recommend @The Burpster bought a prs bass off him a while ago - true gent. i am not a fretless player, otherwise this would have been bought already…. Glwts
  12. Sure do, identical to the OP one above. Absolutely adore it, sadly it doesn't get out as much as it used to! But an absolute weapon of a bass! Had a red one when they first came out and used it but never really liked the sound (I was too young to appreciate the active Ray sound in those days) and moved on for yet another Precision of some kind... SUB's are perfect in every way as workhorse instruments. Prices are definitely creeping up these days, but rightly so - they are EBMM USA instruments after all and are becoming quite collectable. Would love to have one of each colour; White, Black, Graphite, Teal, Red, Blue and apparently there was a Cinnamon too? Never seen one in the wild, I thought it was the Red but apparently not)
  13. Not only does Mr Hall reside in the UK, he resides in Wales; same the lad asking how to contact HW.

  20. I first noticed the hiss this weekend at a gig.
  21. Today
  22. That's an unusual layout Michael. How did it go soundwise ? Dave
  23. That's sad to hear. I agree with what has already been said though, about how they've always seemed a little held back by their sort of internally contradictory relationship with the idea of innovation. They pitch themselves as high tech and the final refinement of the Fender-style design, but they're also trying to trade on their connection to the broader Fender history to an equal or greater extent. As a side note, I've always found it odd when people have such visceral reactions to headstock shapes. Unless it's something deliberately oversized or covered with overbearing ornamental flourishes, I really don't much care. It would never have occurred to me that a little kink in the lower curve of an otherwise conventional four-in-line headstock could elicit such strong reactions one way or another.
  24. I bought a Sub 5 last December unplayed , not seen in person It's had corrective surgery but now I quite like it . The 2EQ is best it's a heavy instrument , but manageable with a proper strap
  25. My previous cabs were 18kg and just manageable for me. I didn't think the extra 3kg in the current ones would be too bad but actually feels like quite a difference. The thought of me, now into my 50's potentially lugging this lot up and downstairs on a weekly basis to then do a 50 mile round trip to a rehearsal space after doing a week of physical work (I'm self employed so I can't afford to do my back in) then to be lugging around to gigs which the band has been doing a lot of has really started to lose its appeal, hence partly the decision to go acoustic and downsized in the amp department.
