  2. Small cab, lightweight, but as discussed on many posts, produces a surprisingly big sound for a 10" 200W speaker (8 ohms) Some tolex peel/shrinkage, mostly visible on the back, but otherwise sound This version has the fabric front, so marginally lighter (6.7kg) than the one with the metal grille Roqsolid cover is as new Pickup preferred but I can courier this at cost if necessary

  3. Anyone need a PA amp? Usual excellent Crown quality, this amp has only had light use and comes in a Chord carry bag. Not sure what the total weight is, but the amp on its own is under 4kg, so very portable XLR inputs, Speakon outputs for most users, plus various other options as per photos As well as standard Stereo, the amp can be configured as follows: Crossover Mode (CH1=LPF, CH2=HPF) – this mode enables a LowPass Filter on Channel 1 and a HighPass Filter on Channel 2 at the frequency chosen. LowPass Mode (CH1=LPF, CH2=LPF) – this mode enables a LowPass Filter on both Channel 1 and Channel 1 at the frequency chosen. HighPass Mode (CH1=HPF, CH2=HPF) – this mode enables a HighPass Filter on both Channel 1 and Channel 2 at the frequency chosen. You can also put it into 'Bridge' mode for seriously high levels of output (according to the spec 1.5kW into 4ohm) Pickup from Uxbridge area, or I'll courier to you at cost.

  4. yeeee.... how accurately observant of you, im just in there @ 1964 🙂
  5. Absolutely gorgeous! One of my dream basses, if I wasn't restoring a Moon PGM right now I'd have this.
  6. Oh dear. Been trying hard to make the Krivo work. The G worked well, which falsely led me down a convoluted trouble shooting path, before realising (a quick google alas would have told me this) that my Evah Weichs don't have enough metal content for the mag pickup. Wrongly assumed anything 'non gut' would work. I cannot reopen the quest for strings(!) and so back it goes. Seriously toying with idea of the Nadine. Wondering if worth playing around with a basic dynamic mic on a stand, ahead of spending more.
  7. Hi D D and welcome, can I suggest you give us a bit more information as to what your trying to do and we can definitely help you
  8. For those aware of the saga relating to my car, at a hearing in July to discuss setting the judgment I'd obtained aside, it turned out the dealership may not have been getting their post so their defence was reinstated, and we were firmly encouraged by the judge to try and sort it ourselves before coming back to court. The dealer's director collared me after the hearing to say he'd call me to discuss a settlement, but after nearly two months, and an email and two voice messages from me that haven't been responded to, I've still not heard a dicky bird from them. So I'll be down another £180-odd for the trial fee and off to court we go again in October.
  9. I might keep an eye on it. AliExpress tend to have random sales so if it gets down to around about £150, it could be worth a punt. Especially as it seems to have an built-in headphone amp.
  10. Aha, fantastic. Yes, if you could get the actual measurement that would be amazing. I have one of those full sets but it is in a shipping box in a warehouse so not the most accessible to try different ones. The metric ones I can get work for the height adjusters but not for the locking screws.
  11. Or maybe he got fed up of the earache he was getting.
  12. Wow😳😳 What a lovely P + sensible mods❤️❤️👍👍
  13. My betting is there is some egg on face so had thought better of it.
  14. Graeme sold me a bumper bundle of cables, for a bargain price, and included free postage! Great seller. Robert
  15. I have owned the fretted version. Very nice bass it was too. Tempted but will resist.
  16. Time has come to let go of this great bass rig. Had this for gigs but only got through one before the band had issues again. If I play again will be going to a power amp/modelling pedal and In ear setup as most of the places I can practice are quiet or have cabs available. Head was a purchase through Ashdown as a last chance with the warranty etc it has some dents scratches on it but all works great and is a powerful great sounding beast. I love Ashdown have had many over the years ABMs/CTMs/LBs this one is brilliant has all you expect from an ABM a professional level amp. 600w 9 band Eq Dual UV for input and output Speakon outs Foot switch option (not included) Size 135mm x 474mm x 320mm (£400 Ono collection preferably but could post at cost) Markbass MB58R 104 PURE Bass Cab 4ohm 800watt version This is a light exceptionally portable bass cab With great bass response which is surprising after you have carried it in. Has an adjustable tweeter and is just a great cab. Weight is around 16kg so an easy one person lift. Sounds great is great would keep it but is just taking up spare room space. Crossover Frequency: 3.5 Khz Frequency Response: 40hz to 20khz Sensitivity Db Spl: 103 Db Impedance: 4 Ohms Reflex: Rear 578mm x 600mm x 470mm (£500 on its own but collection only on the cab as wouldn't have a box etc) Any questions feel free to ask. Would consider a Nice Jap Pbass or a PJ of some sort as a trade /part trade

  17. Indeed, that doesn't really make any sense. I assume thought that it isn't meant to be strung like a chapman stick?
  18. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!
  19. I enjoyed the tone of the one I briefly had - but the ever so slight latency of it put me off in the end. It just didn't have the same feel as my Octabvre mini or OC2s I've previously played through...
  20. Hey @ordep, do you know the make of the speaker stand you’ve got pictured there? I use the Novation myself and it looks like a good setup! Good luck with the sale! Edit: Looks like it matches this one? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Professional-Studio-Monitor-Speaker-Floor/dp/B08KJ9RGG2/ref=asc_df_B08KJ9RGG2?mcid=52b3067d401c32299fc8ba146811e5b3&th=1&psc=1&hvocijid=12431676938287574345-B08KJ9RGG2-&hvexpln=74&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696285193871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12431676938287574345&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045783&hvtargid=pla-2281435176858&psc=1&gad_source=1
  21. Fantastic basses.
  22. That is a Hipshot A-style bridge. To adjust the string spacing, loosen the grub screw which sits alone on the right hand side of the saddle underneath the two saddle height adjustment screws, then move the saddle side to side by hand as you require, then tighten the single grub screw back down to lock it in place. The screw will likely be in freedom/imperial units. My A-style came with a key which I guard with my life. I could get the callipers out and measure it when I get home, if that helps?
  23. He popped back in in June. It would be nice to know whether anything has happened.
  24. Many years ago I used to dep in a Free tribute band and they were happy with me using my Lakland 55-94, Thunderfunk amp and Berg 112 cabs. They were after the feel of Free rather than the sound.
  25. Today
  26. Anyone in Blackburn - this is a bite their hand off good deal even if it may not be working (search Trace Elliot on Gumtree):
  27. A Mobius Megatar 12-string with fan frets: https://auctions.gardinerhoulgate.co.uk/catalogue/lot/e53d7924c06085ff4c734b0b1af356dc/63b778f7668dabe928d3800924a99077/the-guitar-auction-four-day-sale-lot-42/ As it happens, I own (but can't play) a Megatar with the more rational parallel frets. How on earth are you supposed to play one with fan frets? And how would you string it as AFAIK all Megatar/Chapman Stick tunings have the bottom string in the middle of the fretboard? An idea whose time will never come. Unsurprisingly, it got left on the shelf at the auction.
