Burns did the folded over headstock thing, but not that body shape. Looks short scale too, to my eye.

Bit like the sickparrots but more predatory...

Couldn't look further from the bass on that link! This bass doesnt really have a scroll headstock, its more a 'folded over headstock. I'm sure I've seen it before somewhere... A google image search didn't find anything similar either. Would be interested to know what this is if anyone does identify it!

Looks like schaller tuners and bridge with possible dimarzio pickups. Good components, also Looks like a set neck. Depending on price, grab it and work it out later!

FretsOnFire started following Bassbuzz beginner to badass course
-
Has anyone taken this course and if so how was it? I'll be honest that my theory etc with regards to our beloved instrument isn't great and starts and ends at knowing the notes all over the fretboard. The rest is knowing cover songs so I've been looking at taking an online course aswell as jamming to songs daily and the one that keeps coming up is the bassbuzz course. The one thing that gets me is it seems very expensive for what it is but if it works and improves my knowledge then I'll pay it Does anyone here have any experience good or bad with this course?

I'm considering one of these but play 5s exclusively. Do you have a 5 string at all that you've plugged into it? -
I'd suggest trying the foam under the strings close to the bridge wheeze. It works well for me
-
I agree 100% with @Schnozzalee’s statement!

Id snap that up and find out later. The body has a mastumoku look.

I don't know if age has that much to do with it. Younger millennials and gen z don't tend to use forums at all, outside of maybe Reddit (which doesn't really qualify as much of a forum any more), but from what I know about under 40's (I spend most of my working life amongst them), their opinions would probably be surprisingly similar to the variety of opinions expressed here. Some would say it's not ok, some would say it's ok if it's handled carefully, others wouldn't care. The only real difference would be that not many under 40s musicians would be outraged that they were being asked a question like this, and pretty much none of them use Facebook / tabloid terms like 'virtue signalling' or 'woke'. But their opinions would be equally varied. -

I have a “vintage” Matsumoko Aria Pro ll TSB 650 from 1979. Impressive build quality, quite light, very easy to play, makes very nice noises using short scale TI Jazz Flats. Found it in 2022 for under £500.
