  1. Past hour
  2. I need to move this on really, so I'm going to shift this down to £699. Final price on this, trade wise more specifically I'm only really looking at a PJB BG-80 with cash my way, otherwise cash sale, or potentially other non-amp trades plus cash. Happy to hand deliver or meet within an hour or two of the midlands. I won't ship I'm afraid.
  3. Wasn't suggesting your band Daryl it was in response to @Norris observation at his gig. Dave
  4. I got my GX-100 from them but on Reverb and was able to register the warranty on Boss' website with them appearing in the list of suppliers. I'd trust the seller. Very odd pedal though. I wonder if it'll be a NAMM release? Stripped down GX unit to maybe compete with Valeton prices? You wouldn't create retail packaging for a prototype.
  5. Hi bought 2 sei basses in the nineties and I have to say they are amazing Martin is suck a lovely guy and will want you to be part of the whole process, he builds them for you and really goes into detail…. They are amazing instruments from a master luthier … get one
  6. Thanks Dave - for me part of it is putting something down in writing on a public forum which I can look back at and be reminded of as the year progresses. Will be really interesting and hopefully encouraging to see how we're all getting along over the course of the year with what we've individually decided to prioritise, and see what impact it's having our individual bass playing lives.
  7. Muddy got it right: “Champagne and reefer, ain’t going to touch no cocaine”. However, can’t afford the former and it’s been more than a few years since the latter. I tend not to worry about people smoking some weed. Generally it makes them pretty mellow, although there is always someone who reacts differently. I get decidedly unsettled if it’s obvious that harder drugs are in use. Of course, alcohol is the cause of the most amount of aggro in society and obvious drunks are concerning at a gig, especially if it’s young men.
  8. Country music is massively popular in East Anglia. There is a (somewhat weird) fan-run country music club scene with a good number of clubs in that region. If you’re comfortable with strange requests, brown food, and ingrained racism, have at it!
  9. I'm looking forward to it, do you actually live in Wymondham?
  10. Thanks! I agree. It is far better than the stock bridge in every way.
  11. Talking of irrational prejudices, I remember talking to my Mrs about someone or other on't telly (can't remember who). We both said we didn't like her for some unfathomable reason - we couldn't work out what it was until my Mrs said "she's got an annoying chin!". And that's what it was!
  12. Sad bastard me left the upright in the basket until the price changed 🤣
  13. I would go with the Markbass 801. Much louder than the Double 4 and same weight. Note that the PJB sound clear, not the Markbass. I have a PJB Bass Cube 100 and the 801, so I could compare them in situation. The PJB is not loud enough, there is a a lack of bass
  14. "Classic rock radio stations play all 60 classic hits for people in their 70's and 80's" Fixed it for you . . . .
  15. Today
  16. Sliced Ham tastes better in a sandwich when it is all crumpled and rumpled up, rather than laid flat.
  17. I think some of the production values of the entries are just incredible , at a level that I could only dream of , but at my level, it’s great fun and a continual learning curve, but I do understand that it might seem intimidating at first to some.
  18. They were just hellraisers, not beer drinkers too iirc
  19. I put one of these on my 4003SW and it completely transformed (for the better) how it played. It seemed to quicken the string response, with more sustain. GLWYS.
  20. Y'all will be pleased to hear that I've been working on some Jazz-Dub...
  21. It's either: a) all our entries are so terrible that the majority of BCers know that for the sake of their sanity they'd be wise to ignore the Compo Compo every month b) Most BCers are so busy that they can't spare 10 minutes or so to skim through the entries c) Most BCers aren't interested in any new music at all, as nobody's made anything worth listening to for at least 30 years d) Those who don't take any part just assume it's some sort of clique they're not invited to e) a combination of all those things f) something else entirely
