  1. Past hour
  2. Take the head out and there's your cab! If space wasn't at a premium I wouldn't be moving it on, its a brilliant bit of kit and looks great too. And, like busses, there are TWO for sale on the forum at the same time, the 12inch is the classic but I'm sure the 15inch is ace too, can't go wrong.
  3. It's that time of year again, the time to watch this fantastic piece of nostalgia.
  4. I’m busy at the moment, 2026 awaits…
  5. Only if they appear in the classifieds one week after the NBD thread
  6. A smoooottttthhhh transaction! All good 🙂
  7. What an outrageous suggestion! 😉
  8. I've just had flashbacks after watching this. Some songs and videos should have been buried and forgotten a long time ago. That dance with the blokes takes me back to the village hall in Tupton and watching older kids doing it. It looked shite then and hasn't got any better now. Oddly enough Ballroom Blitz isn't one of the songs to be buried and forgotten about (at least to me).
  9. It's almost as if the MDs know what they're doing. 🤣
  10. A review of this amp can be seen here, and Vox's product page is worth a look. As the reviewer mentions, this amp is both small and light (< 5kg) and also loud; I've used it for several jams and also a gig (all with a drummer and various saxes etc.) and it has been fine. I never much liked the tone (a bit too rock) or used the effects, so I've replaced it with the recently-discontinued jazz version whilst I still can. I've not included postage in the price as I don't know how much it will be, but in the event of anyone being interested we can discuss options. The box is still present and I'll put in the unused new power supply from the replacement amp (it's identical). There are a couple of small marks on the bottom of the grill surround (pictured) but otherwise it's in good condition and all working.
  11. Thank you. Yes, i feel it's a good price for an instrument of this pedigree and versatility
  12. you have some of the best pedals. I could repeat that for quite a few of the things you're selling here!
  13. They do indeed. Sometimes it's possible to anticipate them too. Preview shows can be very educational.
  14. I remember that dance that people did to Mud records, putting their thumbs in their belts and moving their shoulders ect. It was a dance that blokes could do after drinking lots of beer Little-known fact: Despite being from Surrey, Mud front man Les Gray was a lifelong fanatical Leeds United supporter.
  15. Egyptian reggae. Jonathan Richman
  16. After 1 or 2 shows the 'vamp' bits become pretty obvious.
  17. Replied. Apologies for the delay Tim, been a bit hectic last few days. 🎅🏻🎄
  18. If it helps I’m not seeing any ads on iPad or iPhone
  19. Hi. Is the combo still for sale?
  20. I wouldn't quite go that far about the advertising TBH. It's a bit annoying and it appears on my laptop but not on the mobile. If it was a case of you sorting out medical issues vs advertising, it's 100% clear what you should do. And no it's not the advertising just to be clear 🙄
  21. First gig I was ever meant to go to was Mud, think was Nov/Dec 1975. As was usual for that time of year I got a rotten cold so couldn’t go. Bah!
  22. I have a number of good and bad buys. I have to say (at the risk of being expelled, excommunicated and otherwise labelled as a heretic) that the purchase of an 87 MIJ Strat from here, was one of my best buys of the year for me. Its a dammed fine guitar that just begs to be played. It's no showroom queen and it's all the better for it. It's great for songwriting so I actually play the bass more as well. A songwriting course in Kendal. I learnt so much from Ann Marie I want to do it again. Worst purchases Some crappy Fender guitar cables. Buy a decent cable from @Chienmortbb and just have done with it. The MS1-Vave Bluetooth adapter. Junk. Any purchase that I thought would short circuit me having to learn how to play bass guitar properly. I'm still learning and I expect to keep learning until the day I stop and there's nothing wrong with that. Am looking for a decent acoustic for next year and a decent precision to see what all the fuss is about. I also wouldn't mind a es355 if one fell in my lap. Rob
  23. Today
  24. I put the East pre in as the fender one was so average. The East is such a great addition.
