  1. Past hour
  2. How do you find the initial ease of setup for the HX? The idea of having to spend hours building presets is a little overwhelming and looking at most of the info online around them, it appears this is needed to get the best out of them. As a fairly busy ( I like to think) bassist. I don’t want to spend a tonne of time working out how to build sounds. Or maybe this is the case with majority of more in depth multis and missing a trick?
  3. I'm in Belgium and would like to know what are my options in claiming warranty for a second hand bass (made in UK) What is the situation in UK regarding warranty on second hand products? The bass was made in 2024. I got a bass in a trade. I noticed a problem with the sound/volume balance when trying it out but i thought it could be solved with a setup or string change. The previous owner played with a compressor so according to him didn't notice the problem. -------------------------- I'd surmise from the above that the buyer is in EU, bought from a private individual. It isn't clear if the seller was in EU or UK but I'm not sure it is relevant. The OP seems to want to claim against the manufacturer which 'likely' puts the onus on the buyer to prove the item design/manufacture isn't fit for purpose... I'd guess buying and fitting a new pup is cheaper. Of course the OP could ask the seller to take it back but I'm guessing that isn't an option, especially as we are talking about the sale of a used item between private individuals. Personally I think the OP might end up putting a lot of time, effort and maybe even money into 'trying' to resolve this. It's a bitter pill but if OP and seller can't resolve it, I'd just be putting efforts into sorting the bass. Saying that we don't know if this is a £200 or £20k bass.
  4. After The Gold Brioche - Neil Young
  5. I don't think so, but I think it's quite an interesting etymology of a very commonly used term
  6. I have the MVave/Lekato cube turner and it is good, but I tend to use the MVave Chocolate now, battery good, but 4 buttons, so page up / down, song back / next using onsong
  7. As above in good condition. Gigged (not extensively) so not pristine. An easy one man lift. Has built in wheels too for ease of movement. 1200w @4ohm so powerful enough for any situation. I'm using in ears mostly now and so don’t need such a powerful cab but would px with cash my way for an original BF Midget or Compact 15 possobly a Super 3rd. I’ve found some photos of the cab from around Christmas time and put them up. The cab is in the rehearsal room and I don’t have access until next week to take some recent pics but it looks more or less just like it does in the pics below. Collection from BB22SH, meet depending on distance. Postage possible at buyers cost and risk. Will be well packed though.

  8. Reduced now to a silly bargain at only £600. May consider a trades and some cash my way (keep the wife happy!) for a class D lightweight bass amp that does 2ohms, or John East Retro deluxe.
  9. Fantastic bass pedal that covers you from overdrive to distortion and fuzz - gated as well. Just not playing in bands so I'm moving some gear - fantastic condition, #006 ☺️
  10. Not really. It doesn't say where the original buyer is located or if the bass was bought directly from the manufacturer or through a shop. It also doesn't say where the OP bought it, did they buy it from the original buyer in the UK, or in Belgium?
  11. I'm using this model since so many years and as it's rocking you can put it anywhere under the neck, it will always fit perfectly: https://guitarsandwoods.com/guitar-neck-rest.html
  12. Cake And Sodomy - Marilyn Manson
  13. For sale, I have 6 Celestion BN-200 neo drivers available in very good used condition from a recently dismantled 6x10 which became too much to haul. Currently retailing at £115 just about everywhere I think it's a fair saving. Super lightweight compared to ceramic, 200 watt and 8 ohms. Buy singles or in pairs, quads, it's up to you and your project/upgrade. Postage negotiable dependent on numbers purchased. Cheers.

  14. Fleta guitars are very nice, that said. 😉🤦🏻😂
  15. If you read the OP, you'll find your answers @RhythmJunky...
  16. Now on ebay
  17. Today
  18. This bassline is a good fun one to play
  19. That's certainly possible, however I do know that Thomman allow the warranty to transfer to a subsequent owner, but with a shorter length of cover. It's certainly possible that the bass still has some coverage left especially as it's still very new. It may depend on where the original buyer is located to see if it's covered under EU or UK law. It'd also be worth seeing if the original buyer is prepared to help too.
  20. I wouldn't give it house space. I think it's goppin' but yes, I like the colour.
  21. Ok, so here is my Sandberg trio. Current favourite is the blue one, especially after the Sonar 3 pre implant which calmed down the hi-fi sound of the bass. I was close to moving it on.
  22. Always been curious about those parametric eqs, specifically that one or the slightly larger one he makes. I'd probably also get the tiny DI he makes too ... How are you finding it? Great pedals but have to ask, what are the connectors/cables? In other news I finally got around to putting my QC on a board. I have been using my Stomp-based board through essentially inertia as everything was already set up, but as I find myself not actually in a band, but depping for 3 bands and rehearsing with a fourth, it's all getting a bit messy. Decided to start from scratch, and now with 267% more buttons!
  23. i went for a cheap option and threw a harley benton one into a Thomman order, works great though and as i also work on acoustics the 2 different heights are useful This One Matt
