  1. Past hour
  2. PM’d Out of interest… does anyone know would these fit a JMJ?
  3. Thanks! It's a nice combo with some heft to the tone. If it was practical for me to have multiple rigs, I'd keep hold of it.
  4. fuzzrocious big fella overdrive distortion fuzz pedal used live a couple of times, but only ever for one particular song and it feels silly to have such a great pedal going relatively unused not too fussed if this doesn't sell, so offers would have to be close to list price comes with original box, stickers etc. has velcro on the back £150, includes UK P&P.

  5. Can I cut this off a the pass, before it decends into another 'sound engineers are rubbish' thread. It's about amps/guitarists being too loud on stage.
  6. Sounds like a review of one of my bands...
  7. Would likely take an interesting swap for this. I was hoping to use the money towards a short scale ACG, but also in the market for a Jazz, preferably a Flea signature in pink if there's any going round. Send me a PM, always up for a chat!
  8. Devil Gate Drive - Suzi Quatro
  9. My fix was just to take the battery carrier partly out. I do want to come up with a better fix - may have a look at that shortly.
  10. Wot, the shiny one? Nice isn't it - though not mine. Just an example of the sort of thing I'm going for (hopefully possible with a decent starting point)
  11. To be fair to Satriani & Co, such occurrences are not down to them, but to knob waving by the FoH engineer (who was probably hired by the promoter, not the artist). It probably sounded fine to them on stage.
  12. I was going to mention the 10-string Dean Edge Hammer. I have one - the neck is rather on the thick side but it's not bad.
  13. TBH when viewed from the rear I assumed the neck must extend to the bottom of the bass to make mounting everything easier but it is in fact, a set neck.
  14. Brian bought some Spector style fret stickers from me and all was excellent! Cheers Brian
  15. Barrel jack appears to be ok. Left it plugged in for 30 mins and it still does it when reinserting the jack. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery whilst the jack is in has the same effect. Doesn't do it in passive mode. Once it has powered up it is quiet and functions as it should, so I will live with it.
  16. That neck..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I`ve put a reminder in my phone to check when get home
  18. Index finger on the root (not quite a rest stroke as such, but not a pluck either) and middle finger on the octave (definitely a rest stroke here).
  19. I remember playing a Jackson Thunderbird in the same shop, it looked like this one. Had a massive bridge.
  20. Thanks for that 😆
  21. Keep the receipt. They shouldn't really fail, especially after 5 years. If it happens again, they'll likely replace them for free.
  22. Short in the circuit. When the bass is unplugged, no current should be visible.
  23. Power amp dampening function is really useable on these. Kind of like a switch between tube mode and clean solid state mode
  24. Today
  25. ... and Icicle Works for me, a fair few years ago. I only made it through the first song. AC/DC were also loud, we were right at the back of the area and I had my orange builder's ear plugs. Not loud enough to leave, but loud enough to to wonder about the people at the front without hearing protection!
  26. If it ends up looking anything like your Thunder-me-wotsit Mustang thing - this will look ace! Like you, I'm bad at fretless. Then you listen to Pino or a bit of Pearl Jam and think I NEED one. Think I've had 4 or 5 fretless basses, none of which have lasted after gathering dust 😅
  27. Leo himself did in 1960. If I was forced to choose just one bass for the rest of my life, it'd be some variety of Jazz. Not much you can't do with a J.
