  6. Bob collected a bass from me - great communication, easy meetup, nice chap
  7. Having used an Alesis SR16 for over 10 years in a Pub trio band I treated myself to a Beat Buddy 2 for Christmas. Programming the Alesis was tedious, but the Beat Buddy 2 is much easier to use. The Beat Buddy Manager Online software is intuitive and offers extensive patterns, Song Finder support, and access to a large song community. A new Pub trio band project starting in the new year ( female vox /guitar: guitar: bass: & Beat Buddy 2) will, hopefully, benefit from the new acquisition.
  8. Now collected thanks
  9. Does anyone near Bristol have one I could spend some time with? Happy to book out an hour at a rehearsal space. I'm a gnats codpiece away from selling some gear to buy one.
  10. Thanks for the input! I've had to keep hold of my C4 and OC-5 as I don't think it quite covers what they do yet - so I'm currently running those with a powerpack and using the Anagrams stock PSU. I just haven't got faith in it but nervous about going all battery for something so high powered when playing 2 hours+. How did you find the NAM? I'm tempted to do this with my Tone Hammer but seems a bit above my technical abilities...
  11. Think they're referring to the poster still waiting for some sort of vaguely bass-shaped object from Jon Letts. Hopefully he's written this off as a learning experience and moved on. Letts appears to be skint, wholly untrustworthy and generally a bit useless based on what we've heard here, I'd have bought myself a different bass and tried to forget about it.
  12. I have seen quite a few pros using a Sire. Just the standard cooking models. Very respected.
  13. Absolutely brilliant. I flipping love a jazz bass, and I adore a matching headstock. Very nice
  14. Shipping information Germany €95, EU €175, UK 275€ Item location 56281, Karbach, Germany Price 6950€ / 6100£ If you're reading this ad, you probably already know that Wal basses are legendary and need no introduction. If you're not yet familiar with the Wal brand, the simplest way to explain just how exceptional their basses are is to point out that they don't sponsor any artists. Despite this, they are used by many of the world's most famous artists, a testament to their outstanding tone and quality. These artists include: Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee (Rush), Sam Rivers (Limp Bizkit), Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam), Jonas Hellborg (Mahavishnu Orchestra), Michael Hogan (The Cranberries), Flea, and Percy Jones (Brand X). Mick Karn (Japan), Jose Villanueva, Sam Rivers, Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam), John Illsley (Dire Straits), Greg Lake (Emerson Lake and Palmer), Martin Kemp (Spandau Ballet), Mike Oldfield, Jason Newstead (Metallica), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), Chris Squire (Yes), Bruce Thomas (Elvis Costello and the Attractions), Colin Moulding (XTC), Paul Simenon (The Clash), and the list goes on… This bass was made in 1992. It features a beautiful padauk veneer over a mahogany core and chrome hardware. Originally, this bass was fretted, but it has been professionally converted to a fretless bass with the installation of a new Indian rosewood fingerboard. This fingerboard was custom-made and includes an extension on the G and D strings to allow for a full two-octave range on those two strings. A brass nut has also been added. The rest of the bass is original and in perfect working order, including the hardware, electronics, and truss rod. The fretboard is in excellent condition, and the bass has just been set up with a brand new set of Ernie Ball strings. It weighs 4.5 kg. Although this bass is 33 years old, it is in excellent condition. It shows some minor signs of wear, as one would expect. However, I am confident that you will be hard-pressed to find another bass from this era in such good condition. I have taken care to provide photos from as many angles as possible so you can clearly see what you are buying. This sale includes the original Wal hardshell case. The case is functional and in very good condition. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask

  15. I’m afraid I can’t see the pictures.
  16. I use mine with a GigRig I picked up second hand for cheap. Gives me IEC and plenty of ma. Outside of that I generally power it via usb c with whatever I’m using for my iPad and have nearby. Any battery that will do PD (Power Delivery) will power it, just need to specifically look for that PD output. I’ve just ordered the Darkglass Midi switch after some friends gifted me a Thomann Voucher for Christmas so excited to incorporate that. Mostly so it can sit on my desk so I can fiddle with it but then still turn stuff on and off when playing or even be as bold as to use the looper. The Mood fuzz is great, very quick and easy to dial in an hitting a tone I’ve been using a Subdecay Noise Theory nam for. I wish I had something more intelligent or articulate to offer but the Anagram is just doing everything I need, I’ve gigged it twice, run it as an iem mixer and all my fx, since I got my Punchline nam into it, it’s been perfect. Might even be listing the last of my pedals for sale soon.
  17. Great Preamp this but surplus to requirements (until I miss it!) Think I may have the box but well be well packaged and safe, price includes postage
  18. Many thanks I’m normally not too far out on the money , but I think I’ll dig out the case for this in the week and put up photos, as I may be a touch loose with its description
  19. If those pedalboards are genuinely rare and desirable, then it would be a shame to hack it about, even to modify it for the more useful midi configuration. However, I don't see any for sale on-line, and the matching keyboard is perhaps 35 years old now - so they are either super-rare, or so obscure that they are no longer wanted by punters. I am impressed that you managed to find a clear photo of the rear panel!
  20. While working in a music store in the early 70's (Sound Centre Cardiff 71 to 75) Hofner Galaxy basses and Verthin basses did not attract the same attention as the “Beatle Bass”. The Verthin was a fine instrument with a good range of tones, light and comfortable to play. Gibson and Fender dominated the market, while Hofners had low resale value. At the time my own bass guitar route was Hagstrom Futurama to Fender Musicmaster to Gibson EB3. It’s ironic how those basses which did not receive too much love at the time are now commanding prices from £750 upwards. Last year I purchased a Hofner Shorty for lounge noodling and “leave-in-the-car” backup. With an old set of La Bella Deep talking flat wounds the Shorty has a lovely range of tones from warm & woody to typical Hofner “Beatle Bass” thump. Happy days !!
  21. Much though I'd love it, I'd need a bigger house... GLWTS!
  22. My saturation seems to be sorted so this is now available, used a handful of times and there is no Velcro attached…phew! Price includes postage
  23. Thank you brother 🙏 It's an amazing pedal
