No it's not. It's also "a bold step forward in tone, reliability, and performance". Are the Chinese built ones unreliable and do they sound bad then? I've only just bought one. 😬 I think it's good that they are being manufactured in the UK, but not clear on if this is replacing the Chinese ones or is just an option if you prefer to support UK manufacture.

Does Your Covers Band Change Songs? What Changes and Why?
tauzero replied to Sean's topic in General Discussion
One song that regularly gets misplayed is Bad Moon Rising. It's not in either band's setlist but I've done it previously, and encounter it fairly regularly at open mic nights. The first and second choruses only go round once, the final one goes round twice (or more, depending on how it's ended) but a lot of the time people do the first and second choruses as double length ones. -

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!
Paul S replied to Baloney Balderdash's topic in Bass Guitars
Not that I have many left now but for the past few years I have fitted Thomastik TI Jazz flats on all my basses. They are very bright, as flats go - by no means the dull thud of many. I love the feel of them. Quite low tension, which puts off a lot of folks. Expensive but last forever. The short scale ones are actually medium scale but that isn't a problem. -
In fact, on Beyma's figures it was more than 3dB loss, but at half power the loss was approaching 1dB. So let's say you lose 2dB or more and add the 6dB low end boost usually quoted for mutual coupling.

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!
casapete replied to Baloney Balderdash's topic in Bass Guitars
I’ve used D’addario EXL 170s on my Dano Longhorn for eons, and never had a duff one or any other problems. I’ve got used to the sound of them so much I’d find it hard to change now I think. They last a long time for me, but I do have quite dry hands and can make strings last a long time. -

Isn’t it just a U.K. built RM800 EVO III in blue ?? I don’t understand why as the black one is a perfectly decent amp already

Same here, Tech21 gear sounds great, is super reliable, and as a bonus sound people seem to love it too.

Or not it seems. Our lead singer/guitarist/band leader has been, and still is, really ill. He has finally said he can’t physically play this coming Sunday. I’ve been encouraging him to think of his health first before gigs, so this is a good thing. Having been below par myself for the past fortnight, coupled with my current ennui with gigging, this suits me fine, especially as the weather is shocking up here at the moment and shows no sign of abating for at least a week. So, next up for us is this (dreadful AI [I assume] poster by the venue, a female, Mod, copper, really?):
-
I’m not in a gigging band, if I do stand in for someone I use the provided rig, and I use the studios amps when rehearsing. But still want one! Love that the amp is now Ashdown blue, looks much better than the silver & black earlier versions.
-
And it looks like they’ve just got a makeover and are now the RBM series.

I'm moving this on as since getting an HX Stomp, I've only been using this as a clean DI, and it's seems like a waste! I bought it off here unboxed with the dual lock stuck to the back, so I don't have any of the manuals etc, but will ensure the pedal is well packed. It has lived on my pedalboard the last few years and done a couple of hundred gigs in that time so there are plenty of signs of use, but everything works as you'd expect. I've tried to photograph everything as accurately as possible! Collection from Leeds or can add on postage if preferred.
