  3. Very interesting video. Brings back memories of working with those 1/4" Studers, doing a line up of the multitrack machines everyday. Yes I agree, it's possible, but they would have to be very well looked after.
  4. Ditto. if it keeps it cheap for the herd, then so be it. Herd. Aurok. See what I did there..?
  5. Very nice 👌

  7. Price drop to £360 with UK postage Hi Everyone, I’m selling my Sennheiser EW 100 G4 Wireless Instrument System with Ci1 (E Band) £380 - including UK postage I’ve used this once live and less than a handful of times in a pre-prod environment. Owned for a couple of years and it lived in a rack. Complete with all original parts, plus the extra rack components for mounting and a couple of extra right angle cables for the body pack. Cheers!
  8. Are you bringing a BC112 by any chance? If you are, I'll leave mine at home 😉
  9. Brand new set of Gotoh chrome plated brass saddles for Strat or Tele. 10.8mm string spacing, 54mm E to E. Price includes delivery within the UK.
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Tedesco wrote in GP that a producer wanted a certain sound. The g-word sound wasn't right and the producer wanted a mandolin. Well, Tommy adjusted his instrument a bit as well as his playing technique and played a new take. Producer was happy with the mandolin sound. But it was exactly the same instrument. I find it funny that the P would be the answer to everything in the studio. I want to play my favourite instruments. It is my technique and ability to adjust the sound to reach something that others want. It is not about the instrument. I use the bass that I feel is suitable to the task according to the specs. (I do not own a P, neither do I want one.)
  11. Just packed the car ready for an early start. I'm only bringing nine speakers this year.
  12. I'm probably going to hell, can I redeem them there? See you tomorrow Mike
  13. I'm sorry, but for £3,400 - that's sheer laziness. Zero effort to actually try and make a new model, especially when they have the 480 in their back catalogue Think what most other custom builders could do for over £3k.
  14. Reluctantly listing this one - my modded ‘95 Ray gets more attention (as it’s a highly nostalgic bass for me) so as much as like this Special I’m struggling to justify keeping it. Made in 2018, great condition, Ivory White with Rosewood fingerboard. Super comfy to play and sounds spot on. Weighs 4kg / 8.9lb. Comes with case and candy. Cheers 👍 Link to my feedback thread -
  15. I got a tiny bit of hiss but not with nothing plugged in, so it might be from the M-Vave wireless I was using with it (something I haven't noticed from it before).
  16. Never found that, audiences always seem to appreciate the chance to show appreciation for the individuals.
  17. @Misdee is absolutely correct. It's a late 80's Overwater Artisan, a slightly downsized, single pickup version of the Overwater Original. Here're the specs from a 1987 review... OVERWATER ARTISAN BASS PRICE£599 BODYmahogany NECKmahogany FINGERBOARDrosewood PICKUPone humbucker CONTROLSvolume and tone; coil tap switch COLOURSblack/red/blue/sunburst
  18. You have to put your ear up to the grill to hear a very faint hiss even with the gain and bolume right up.
  19. Any interesting trades ?

  21. Is the amp new to you? It does look a complex & sophisticated bit of kit. You mention "distortion" but is that just audible distortion or is the "Overload Light" flashing on the amplifier? I suggest you forget everything you done over the years with the guitar controls and start from scratch by going back to the Amp Manual and working from there. If you don't have the manual, it's here:- https://bergantino.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/ForteHP-Manual-Final_2p0.pdf Go to the Quick Start section. Itu's good advice on setting the gain is there in black & white. Then work your way through it. From what I can see of the amp, once the basic settings (amp - bass - speakers) are in place there is ample scope in the available amp controls that which will allow you to drive the speakers to their optimum and at the same time protect the them from overloading. The Bergantino will still be cruising in 3rd gear.
  22. Well, new GP-5 arrived and it's going back. No way can I get the midi control working with this one (well, I did a couple of times, but the it stoped). I tried two Chocolate Plus footswitches, both still set up from when I had the first GP-5 (which worked 100%). Meh, ill give Tonex a go.
  23. Now £650 I bought this very recently, brand new either gig bag, case candy etc.. it is a truly gorgeous bit of kit, but after using it for a couple of practices on a couple of songs is not for me. It is in as new condition, has a set of LaBella White Nylons on (plus will include factory strings) I paid £949 plus £70 for the LB’s, If a fellow Basschatter wants it, I would let it go for £749.00 Cheers Stuart
