  1. Past hour
  2. The price was £47.50 in 2022, I was quoted £125 yesterday.
  3. It’s like a very cool banana!
  4. Yes yes yes. That is gorgeous.
  5. I think the ABM series sound at their best when played loud and you have sussed the “ shape “ button Still great amps
  6. I can see where you're coming from, but that bass is quite heavy. I personally couldn't play it for that reason, my back wouldn't allow it. Stripped finish P basses do come along now and again if you keep an eye on things.
  7. Yeah our old German firewood peddler.
  8. Damn that's a beauty, congratulations John 😎
  9. Could also offer this as a package with my vgc TC Spark Booster (to drive the gain higher) for £280 posted the pair.
  10. Would be interested to hear what you've been quoted! In my view a lot of instrument setup work has been undervalued over the years, and these days a guitar setup is one thing that you can't really buy off the internet. I always think about how much time a job is likely to take, how much do I think it's reasonable for a skilled person (who's also taking liability for my instrument whilst on their care) to charge for that time?

  12. I was clearing out old boxes and found my Yamaha MR350. (Key of G) I got it decades ago and thought I lost it and never got a replacement. It is my only one. I really fancy giving it a proper go now. It's a lot lighter than a bass too!
  13. I know most consider "vintage" to be 70's and older but this John Deacon-esque 1980 popped up on Bass Bros and has me intrigued (other than the weight). Im currently considering selling all my basses and just having one older P bass, this could be the one potentially. https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1980-fender-precision-bass-2/
  14. Up for grabs are a trio of amplitube pedals in excellent boxed as new condition. X-Vibe modulation X-Time delay X-Space reverb They come with the plugin versions of the units so you can get your exact plugin sounds in pedal form for live sets. Amplitube are really smashing everything out the park these days and these units are no exception. They sound superb. Thanks for looking. £165 each. posted to your door.
  15. Tis indeed a great filter.
  16. Very Interesting read.
  17. Woof, nope never to old. Drop me a pm
  18. Thanks for your comments-yes a truly beautiful looking and sounding bass.
  19. Probably but it was so badly set up as to be unpleasant rather than just requiring effort.
  20. The only things that I own that might be worth more than what I paid for them are a Digitech Bass Synth Wah (£32, new) and the Behringer Centaur (£59, new). They’re such good pedals that the little I might make on them isn’t worth the effort of selling them and finding replacements. Although, thinking about it, my BC Rich Warlock might be worth a little more than I paid for it, purely because I got it for such a good price. But it’s my dream bass, it ain’t going nowhere. I’m not a collector, but I do have a lot of Behringer stuff. Which I think makes me a hoarder…
  21. So, only one can stay. Let the geeky day of A/Bing commence! So far its clear the ABM is a more versatile amp, it also gets dirtier but the core sound of the Spyder is absolutely brilliant. It almost sounds more like....dont know....bigger and more 3D?
  22. Not even bothering to click - guessing it's Cologne?
  23. For sale, my Hartke HA 3500 I'm guessing it needs little introduction..... But a super reliable amp in very good clean condition and full working order. Compressor, tube and solid state preamps, 10 band graphic and high/low pass filters complete a comprehensive feature set. 350 watts at 4 ohms 250 at 8 ohm. Always found it more than ample for pub gigs and rehearsals. Comes with rack ears for rack mounting. Will include postage to UK addresses but NI and outlying areas I'll have to get a quote. An questions feel free to ask Cheers
  24. It's a superb example of Carol Kaye's bass of choice from 2002. These don't come up too often. Condition is remarkable for the age. It's even got the plastic film on the cavity covers. It's Korean-built and we know they know how to do neck-through properly. The build quality is stunning as is the grain of the ash wings. The neck profile is what I'd call slim modern J. Controls are: Vol, Blend, Treble, Bass. It's been deep cleaned and set up beautifully (med/low) with D'Addario EXL170BT strings. that's a balanced tension set. As per all my rosewood board instruments, it's been treated with Montypresso. Frets are level and polished to 7000 grit. All electronics have been checked and all pots cleaned. New battery fitted today. Truss rod is perfect. It's 4.4kg. I've got proper packaging and am happy to ship insured at buyers expense, which will be about £30. If you're undecided and fancy trying it out, I can usually accommodate a try-out with some notice weekdays or weekends.
