  1. Past hour
  2. Pretty certain this is a carbon/graphite neck, just not made by Modulus like the earlier ones? Always wanted one of these, lovely looking bass.
  3. That was quick - less than 48 hours between OP and coming home with something! Mind you still gave me the opportunity to check out the most recent Trace Elliot bargains out there... as someone said above it is pro gear at beginners prices so long as you don't mind the age and weight!
  4. I’ve had one. And I shouldn’t be looking… I only have trade fodder gah.
  5. Here’s a lovely little Tanglewood Elfin bass for sale. This is an ultra short scale bass in good condition with a 19.5” scale. Bass has been used but not abused. There are marks and scratches including a bite mark on the headstock. (Not mine!) Plays well with a low action. The knobs are new(ish) and the strings are brand new. One tuner is different (which enables you to use a normal sized E string!). Comes with a spare tuner. This was for sale here at £40 plus delivery and I’d normally honour that, but I’ve spent money on the strings and sorting it out. £55 delivered seems fair. Ultimate low cost travel bass.
  6. Surely the impact would have set off car alarms. 😝
  7. Congratulations! What bass are you playing through it?
  8. Pickups, Bridge are included as well. I have the Roland pickup too and happy to include that at the asking price. I will add pics tomorrow afternoon. One of the pickup/pickup rings is damaged although being away at the moment I cannot inspect it to confirm. I was going to replace the pickups when I was going to refurb it myself. I think it is the pickups itself but cannot be sure.
  9. Bergantino CN112 Bass Cab Lightweight bass cab with 12’’ woofer and adjustable tweeter it weighs just under 13kgs and has a compact footprint. It is in very good condition and comes with original Bergantino cover also in good condition. There are some scuffs to the corners, etc but nothing major. Apparently it is the redesigned version of the classic AE112, it retains the clean/smooth detailed highs, from the acclaimed HD tweeter and cross-over, plus tight, smooth mids and plenty of low end that defies it’s size. 350 watts 8 ohms impedance. Selling as I have too many cabs and not enough opportunities to use them! Pickup preferred as I’m not sure I have a decent big enough box.
  10. Schnauzer Time - Charlie Parker
  11. Monkey Spaniel — Dave & Ansel Collins
  12. That is a great photo. Keep encouraging
  13. Only bought this a couple of weeks ago from another Basschat member, given it a run out at a couple of rehearsals but just isn’t my kind of sound so I’m listing it back up for what I paid for it. Rat based distortion with bass and treble eq controls, can do the lower gain thing but really shows what it can do at higher gain sounds. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers!
  14. Open to sensible offers on this as I have my eye on something else.
  15. Always thought these were 17.5mm? I've had 2 Ray35's.
  16. I've ordered a section of hardwood rods in different diameters. I'll fine one slightly bigger, sand it a bit and plug the hole that way. In hindsight thinking about drilling the holes was a dumb idea for someone as cack handed as me with power tools. Thanks for all the help and useful suggestions. Rob
  17. And now the strings have appeared which I have approved but they literally just showed up. Not sure why there was a delay.
  18. Cheers, that's what I feared. I was going to call them tomorrow to see what the deal is anyway.
  19. None were showing when I posted, as I checked the queue. A short strap was showing awaiting approval just now, which I have approved, but there are no others.
  20. Today
  21. I’d just plug them as they are myself, the larger type cocktail sticks like the wooden kebab ones do a great job and they are pretty hard
  22. Oih, i like that.
  23. If you can sort of see or feel the edge of the holes with a pokey thing... How about using those threaded inserts in the neck, and bolts instead of woid screws. The inserts would need a larfer hole carefully drilling over prolly taking to or the edge of an existing hole.
