Honestly these are soooo good, I have one as part of my extremely cutdown rig, kemper player going into this for stage monitoring, and honestly i never even went to half with it, it's really loud, and extremely clean, a little bigger than the ELF, but i find this to have a cleaner tone, and a better fan system. Honestly for mobility or even as a backup you cannot go wrong with these, they are great.

That looks like a good suggestion too.

My (wonky ) G string seems to have been designed by Escher, turning as it does into the fretboard edge.

I think the short answer is ‘yes’ and pretty much any mixer should do the job. The only issue would be that the mixer probably only has one headphone output so you won’t be able to control your headphone levels separately. I noticed there are currently a couple of Yamaha SessionCakes going in the ‘accessories for sale’ section here. I haven’t used these but as I understand it you can link two or more of them together so each person has their own headphone output - that might do what you want? And they’re not expensive.

Both very true 👍

Bypassing Preamp on Ashdown ABM 600

Thanks. Been experimenting with that. Hadn't realised that the Bass knob is centered on 45 Hz so am basically using it now as an HPF filter, and turning bit to minimum. Getting there ...... I think . .... Sometimes ......... -

We released our last album on CD and vinyl as well as digitally on all the platforms. The CD has sold out a couple of times (only 1000 per print run, I believe) - I'm not sure if we'll print any more as we're releasing a new album soon. The vinyl still has probably 200 copies left from an initial pressing of 500 - they're slow moving. I think the next album will definitely be available on CD. I'm not sure if we'll bother with vinyl, which I feel is a shame.

Excellent condition, low action, great sound. All fully working, no issues. Kept in high quality Yamaha case (included) only gigged a few times. These are currently £900 new. Happy for buyer to arrange courier/post delivery at their expense. Full Description Thanks to a pair of powerful custom V7 pickups, you are provided with an incredible tonal range. Designed with alnico V magnets, the 734A delivers a fat, penetrating tone which perfectly complements the alder/maple/alder body. These organic, well-defined pickups have been carefully selected for the 700 series, ensuring players receive a uniquely versatile performance with the classic BB tone. Yamaha’s BB 700 series of bass guitars also comes equipped with powerful active/passive circuits, specially tuned to offer fine tonal control and extreme flexibility. Featuring a pickup balancer, active/passive switch, and 3-band EQ, you can dial in incredibly crisp tones and enhance the bass' tonal properties for the ultimate experience. Designed for excellence The BB 734A's body has been constructed from a unique blend of maple and alder, which increases the overall stiffness for an accentuated midrange to cut through dense mixes. The dense maple centre provides a more uniform transmission of vibrations between the body and neck than traditional 1-piece bodies, delivering an unparalleled resonance and sustain. The alder top and bottom provides the bass with a lusciously smooth, deep bass tone, beefing up the midrange while adding a slight sizzle to the high end. The maple/mahogany combination of the neck delivers incredible stability, while offering the best of both tonewoods for a bright, mellow sound. It has been designed with an incredibly thin profile, improving its playability and feel to suit modern and traditional players. Coupled with a rosewood fingerboard, the 3 woods provide the bass with a complex high end and a smooth playing experience. Its neck is attached with a 6-bolt miter neck joint, offering a more efficient transfer of string vibration thought the body than conventional bolt-on joints. The joint holds the neck closer to the body to provide a tighter hold and improving sustain and resonance. Vintage Plus bridge The bass’ vintage plus bridge enhances the overall sustain and resonance of the strings by incorporation a unique ‘diagonal body through stringing’. This is achieved by angling the strings at the saddle to pass through the body at a 45-degree angle, placing less stress on the strings as opposed to the more traditional vertical stringing. This method allows the bridge to transfer the string vibrations to the body reliably and efficiently. The vintage plus bridge also allows the strings to be attached to the tail end and features an offset saddle for the low B string. Aye, and this reminds me of the gig of so-called avant-garde electronic music I once went to, where a reel-to-reel tape recorder, an amp and two speakers were the only things on the stage, and some guy walked on - - to a grand-but-ironic applause, to which he sniggeringly bowed - - and proceeded to said recorder and turned the lever to PLAY. I tried to protest: "Playback!", but got the big "SHUSH!".
