  2. This echoes my experience as well. once I split the signal and sent the mb to Pa, boom! mine is also an OG that I bought for £35 on eBay about 20 years ago 😉
  3. My 66J and 73P have brass nuts. At least I know they lived a little
  4. They're all on Jazz basses now....
  5. theres a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis - Kirsty McColl
  6. In the 70’s everyone was putting DiMarzios , Badass bridges and brass nuts on their Pbasses. Today just about all of those are now back to stock. You never know …

Well crap, not looking good then! I hope all is ok on their end. Hopefully someone somewhere hears something soon!
  8. Hey peeps. Moving on my Melvin Lee Davis preamp,DI &ir loader with data cable to install software as well as power cable. I bought this to use as a silent practice setup. Never left the house. I’m like new condition tbh. I’m including the data cable you need to install the software. Asking for £100+shipping. I think this is fair considering the cable and power lead. Great sounding preamp. It has a low and high pass filter which is accessible on the software and sets once you disconnect. Software has drum beats and a loop! You can also use this as an audio interface. Extremely capable tool. I’m moving to the mighty plug pro2. happy to ask any questions.
  9. I genuinely hope he's ok. Never had any contact myself but I've been lucky enough to have owned a few different combos of his. All being excellent and a credit to himself.
  10. Charlie big potato- skanky Nancy
  11. Very nice Bindingo exotica!
  12. Get it bought... and I'll have it off you! LOL
  13. I've started gigging with the DB this year. I'm using a j-tone piezo pick up and a trace amp and mark bass two by ten cab. It's been OK ish so far. The last gig I had to deal with a bit of feedback. Set up was cramped and I was practically on top of the cab. Some festy gigs coming up will have bass rig set up but they'll be for eb. I've never tried it through anything else yet. Was thinking of sticking to my combo and Di to the PA. I'd like to pick the brains of experienced dB players who have used amplification. Thoughts?
  14. I’ve watched loads of bits on YouTube about this pedal - it sounds great, he makes a nice fuzzy one based on the Acoustic 360 too, but this one nails the GK sound, great boutique preamp 👌🏼
  15. Thank you
  16. Lots of frets though It's a beauty. GLWTS
  17. Years back I landed an Aria Pro II Primary bass on a late Friday hunt. It was in rotten shape..over 40 years old. After I got it up and running I decided that every time it left the house I'd put a ding in it, walks, floor, pavement, dragging it along the road a bit. It looks glorious.
  18. Quick tone demo, unfortunately it does not sound nowhere as good as in real life, coming out of an amp:
  19. Any fans of this Topic near Mansfield: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/127142621341?_skw=bass+sgc+nanyo&itmmeta=01JX3F7TY2SPDQSQ6HMTM19EHX&hash=item1d9a4a709d:g:SKQAAOSwy81nmOHD&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1eLK6tx%2F7yuJQLO33NRLzgkkT5KjPKvxh8JgT1HdkaeBu5RwSazeljUf8%2F6BWLoxETFortDfCbTk6nr3CJnRT9naXLKJ41Ae7E0K0lRrirBXl5fU0uVASXbcCVttQY5BjdpscbfUqDydtf4DDDYERiCzqLB%2B%2BHZK6fxJykuTTuoakX9pNdOc4rD8PufiZLnDZkwR4yWjxUUsGxe44HkKYrnxJNQRrM4JC3t1mw64wzFruGoQz9geic5wbEMvIjUmE4%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_qvn-_oZQ I'd have this like a shot if it was within 50 miles of me.
  20. Today
  21. Picked this up with a jazz I purchased. Planned to fit it in one of my basses but have never got around to it. And I’m quite sure I would pay to get it fitted and change my mind after a week as I’m really just a passive jazz type player. This means it’s not tested by myself so I don’t know if it works. Ideally like to sell it to someone who can fit and test it themselves, and is comfortable doing so. I did plan on fitting it and have purchased some extra battery terminals which I’ll include in the sale. if it doesn’t work properly then I will pay to have it posted back and refund you right away.
  22. I’d love to have an update. All gone quiet and he hope he’s ok.
  23. Hope this doesn't count a hijack but a comment above made me think perhaps someone can help identify what makes my favourite fuzz-bass sound:
  24. I'm thinking the bass may be the culprit here. That BF cab will put out pretty much exactly what you put in and it doesn't have a tweeter so shouldn't be too clangy. The MarkBass head can definitely do warm bassy traditional sounds. I'm not too sure about the TC head as I've never heard one. You've also come from an Ashdown amp which is really good at old school gooey sounds so you'll be kind of used to that - they're nowhere near as clear and exposing as the BF cab. But you've got 2 active basses which are both pretty modern sounding and it sounds like you want an old school 50s, 60s, 70s sound. They'll both struggle to get there I think. See if you can borrow a P bass or passive single pickup bass of some sort without new strings on it, turn the tone down and see if that gets you closer.
  25. I'm selling my Sterling Stingray. I bought it here on BC three years ago and although I love it I'm just not playing it so it's time to find it's new owner. It's had mostly light home use since I've had it, I've only ever done 3 or 4 gigs on it. There are three tiny marks on the paint which are hard to see, aside from that it's in top condition. It's really light, the action is low and it plays like a dream. It's currently strung with D'Addario 35-95s. I also have a white 3ply scratchplate for it, I'll throw that in too. And it comes with a decent Ibanez gig bag as well. I'd rather not get into shipping so it's collection from London N4, or a meet up somewhere convenient. Any question feel free to PM me. Cheers.
  26. MXR M85 bass distortion. Great distortion pedal in good condition. Velcro on the bottom. £90 delivered. Any questions just ask 👍
