  2. Bought a set of flats off David in an effortlessly smooth transaction. Nae danger here
  3. I’ll check my diary and get back to you Rob. Peter
  4. I’m not normally a fan of green basses, but that really looks great, very nice
  5. Bought a OBP-3 Preamp from Bob. Smooth transaction. Top bloke to deal with!

    De-Fret??

It'd be a great bass if you did it. 😬 thing about the block inlays; this has of course been discussed 😁
  7. I thought i should contribute as I have an M Bass by Marleaux. But can't say if they are better than a standard bass of the same construction material(wood type). Only the Luthiers would be able to say that there is a benefit. Do they all agree, that make one in their range or are they just following the trend to corner a piece of that market. ?? This is a great bass, now with an East preamp as i didn't find the stock preamp had enough top end clarity. we are never satisfied are we 🤭 I like the look of these as the upper horn folds back to compliment and meet the lower horn, like a well sucked lozenge. So prefer this over the mark II when they brought the top horn down another two frets up. Not as pretty as this earlier one. Probably had this about 17 - 18 years now, Its a keeper.

  9. Love this! Sadly no longer for me either but what fantastic functionality matey glwts
  10. Hi, this bass is a beauty. I am looking for a nice vintage sounding PBass. The weight is important as well, do you have the exact weight in kg ? Thank you. Tot
  11. Love me a single cut bass! Binky is the ultimate single cut (in my humble opinion of course!) Aesthetically I get that they're marmite, but correctly done they look awesome. Sound wise, honestly, I really couldn't claim to hear much of a difference at all. Binky has a pair of custom spec Nordstrands paired with a bespoke to Binky 'BeePre' preamp, those two contribute 99% of the tone post-amp, maybe 1% at best could be attributed to the fact Binky is single cut.
  12. Sympathy For The Devil - Stones
  13. From memory, I don't think he ever had a signature model. I think Jackson just made a one off custom for him. Looks like schecter have done the same thing.
  14. BB-1X arrived and will try it loud tomorrow night. At home it sounds like a mild drive and warm sounding pedal Seems to be more like what I’m after but need to pop through an amp at gig volume. The tone controls are handy too and find drive set 10-11am is a nice grit kind of sound
  15. Sorry - only just saw this! I’ve dropped you a message on WhatsApp 👍
  16. Hi all, I'm moving into a smaller flat soon, so I'm selling a large chunk of my music equipment. For this reason, I'm letting go of the following Rockboard pedalboards and mods/accessories. For the two bigger pedalboards, pick-up from Durham would be preferred, but shipping can be arranged. Pictures will follow this afternoon. Rockboard Cinque 5.3 with MOD1 and MOD2 and softcase - Mint condition, bought new last year to combine all my pedals on a single board, but due to size restrictions in my new flat, I had to opt for two smaller pedalboards. It's in really good shape and has only been on my desk setup at home, hence it has never seen a stage or practise room. It only lacks a tiny bit of paint on the underside around some of the screws, and actually was shipped in this state when I received it new from Thomann. It comes with a nicely padded, unused Rockboard softcase, and has currently two Rockboard Mods (Mod1 v2 and Mod2 v2) installed. I'd like to sell it as a package deal so I can keep the two mods installed, but please feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in the board and softcase alone (without the mods). The board and softcase go around £215, and the Mods around £50-55 each, so the whole package would cost you around £315 new. I'm offering it for £240 all together (pedalboard, softcase, Mod1, Mod2) as a pick-up price from DURHAM (I can deliver it locally), or £260 shipped. Now £220 all together (pedalboard, softcase, MOD1, and MOD2) when picked up from Durham, or £240 shipped. Rockboard Mini Mod TRS - Nice little MOD unit that can be attached to every Rockboard pedalboard, given you a TRS in- or out jack. Happy to sell it with any of the pedalboards above for an additional £5. Rockboard Mod Brace - Stainless steel frame to give more stability to heavier Rockboard MOD units. Selling it for £12 posted. Any questions just send me a message. SOLD: Rockboard Cinque 5.2 with softcase - Great condition, I used this before upgrading to the 5.3. It's also in really good shape apart from one scratch mark on the back. When taking off a MOD unit, one screw got stuck and by removing it, I scratched the back a bit unfortunately. However, this scratch mark should largely be covered once a new MOD is in place. Other than that, it's in perfect condition. It also comes with a nicely padded Rockboard softcase. I'm selling it for £80 when picked-up from DURHAM, or £95 shipped. SOLD Rockboard Frame 5 XL Cinque - Can be used on both Rockboard Cinque 5.2 or 5.3 and substitutes one of the frame struts underneath. As it has a large cut-out, you can attach larger items (such as big power supplies) underneath these pedalboards. Best to google and see what it looks like to decide if it might be useful for you, but it was actually very helpful for me to mount lots of equipment (power supplies, DI Box, and so on) underneath my pedalboards). Selling for £16 posted. SOLD Rockboard Duo 2.0 with softcase - Great condition. I used it for a little headphone-based setup when travelling, so it has seen a couple of hotel rooms but it's still in really good shape. Also comes with a nicely padded Rockboard softcase. £30 when picked-up from Durham, or £35 shipped. SOLD
  17. No truss rod, bonkers low action, mostly down to the previous owners’ skill with wood tools. I’ll put an active preamp in mine one day.
  18. Well given my OCD I’d be looking at the Fender Pure Vintage 74 Jazz pickups. Not only do they match OCD-wise they sound great, I had some in a Squier VM77 Jazz and they really made the bass shine.
  19. Today
  20. Just watching it now, quite interesting
  21. Love your Gong posters. My Dad has loved these guys since I was young. Used to go to loads of their gigs back in the day. Weird as hell 😂
  22. Can anyone recommend an exact brand/model of tuners that will fit as 1:1 replacements, without the need to drill new screw holes? I have acquired a Jazz neck (Made in Mexico 2020) that already has two sets of holes in the headstock rear, and I don't want to add to the butchery. Obvs Fender brand should work, but I'm wondering about alternatives like Gotoh which might be better, cheaper etc. Classic look, but as light as possible, preferred. TIA for any help...
