  2. Having a bit of a bow clear out. 1st up... Lovely Dorfler bass bow from Bubenreuth in Germany. French pattern, pernambuco, nickel mounted, 690mm stick, 131g weight. Couple of small marks here & there. New hair. Based in Catford SE London to try out or can post. £400
  3. I've had two five string Sires, a V7 Vintage and a V9. Excellent basses and loads of options on them, so you can really experiment if you've never had active or maple boards or whatever before. I felt I "needed" a 5 string then felt I didn't... The preamps are great, the maple boarded vintage V7 is really nice for snappy, trebly sounds and the pre let's you roll that off and make it thunderously deep... There's nothing not to like, apart from the headstock.
  4. Pm'd you. Still for sale?
  5. Wow, this fretboard looks beautiful!!! Congratulations for your adquisiton, I hope you enjoy it a lot. With the time I hope you explain your thoughts about the bass in a concert, rehearsals, recordings...
  6. Hi and welcome to Bssschat. Im sure you'll get a lot of this place as you browse and post on the many threads.
  7. I bought this new in April last year, using it briefly before discovering GR Bass. As such, everything is in mint condition and I still have the original boxes too so shipping is an option. This is an incredibly versatile amp, so much so that I couldn't possibly run through everything it can do here. There are lots of video reviews worth watching, but I am going to guide you to our very own Dood's review here, which gives a good deep dive into the amp. Boss Katana 500 Bass Head (£734) Boss BT-DUAL Bluetooth adapter (£45), so you can adjust settings on the fly via the app Boss GA-FC pedal (£99)l, again, for ease of switching in a live setup Boss VE-22 Vocal Processor Bag (£74), a perfect fit for the amp, power lead and a couple of speaker cables I’ve added some pictures taken today but forgot to add proof of ownership. Hopefully folks will know I am a stand up guy on here and save me the effort of retaking the pictures.

  8. I just have two sounds set up, and flick between by simply using the active switch - there are basically two sets of tone controls
  9. I agree, there’s certainly far more bad ‘have a goes’ than good, just as replica Fender builders.
  10. Love Pollock. Ive seen some have a goes of Pollock and they were woefully lacking. But if you think you can then well done.

  13. A few years ago when talking to my son about the getting the NME, Melody Maker and Sounds: "Why would anyone want to READ about music?"
  14. You know that "he" is now a "she?"
  15. https://folkiesmusic.co.uk/collections/bass-guitars/products/ibanez-btb1835-ntl-premium-pre-owned Being London-based I tried this exact bass. Extremely comfortable to play with no sharp edges anywhere digging into the body.
  16. It'll be interesting to hear how you find the 800D vs the Boogie channel on the TT. Maybe a thread in its own right?
  17. Set of 4 black dome knobs for cts and similar solid shaft pots in good used condition solid brass with grub screws
  18. shame about the neck because it's absolutely gorgeous, sure someone could sort it out though and might be worth it for that finish
  19. That is awesome. I'd also like to know what printer it is because maybe there's someone local who can do the same - I have a ton of ideas that would work with this approach that I've been reluctant to approach with printed vinyl.
  20. Another vote for a V7, 5er in my case. With 20+ basses to choose from, the V7 is still my #1 play at home bass. Absolutely lovely to play and it’ll do anything totally. Mine was ridiculously inexpensive used, and I wouldn’t be without it.
  21. That's only because he's posted in the wrong sub-forum. Should be in the Theory and Technique section... https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/31-theory-and-technique/ Which IMO should be listed above General at the top of the forum and not 4 page scrolls down on the phone.
  22. I think you’ll find about 10000 people who can help you with exactly that . Some are professional luthiers Probably not going to get in-person help given your location though some members are in US Welcome
  23. I've always liked the look of these since seeing them in this
  24. Great. It’s a fantastic pedal. Love mine.
  25. Hi everyone, I'm new to Basschat and really excited to get to know the bass community here. I've been playing bass for about 2 years now, mostly 4-string electric bass, and I really like funk/jazz/rock. A few things about me: Current gear: Ibanez SR300 bass + small practice amp Goals: improve technique, especially groove, slap & fingerstyle Current challenges: sometimes having trouble setting up strings + need advice on choosing bass strings that suit my style I'm looking forward to learning from experienced bassists here — if anyone has experience setting up bass, choosing strings, or how to practice groove effectively, I'd love your advice. Also, I'd love to jam, share experiences, or listen to your music projects if you need a bassist. Nice to meet you all! Steal Brainrot Game
