No need to panic. I have found G4M consistently give 2 week estimates from the date you view the product, probably in some attempt to encourage an order. I see the date has slipped 5 days from your screenshot (and here we are 5 days later). It will continue to do so I fear. I have been caught a couple of times over the years with them, assuming an item would be in stock according to their estimates but waiting months longer. I feel this is deliberately misleading the customer.

No we don't agree. I never said Metal is noise. I don't think it's appropriate to blare out any loud music in a guitar store where gear is tried out by potential customers. Metal is not my aesthetic choice but it's still music played by often very talented individuals.

There are some metal riffs that only use the D and G strings, 46 & 2 by Tool is one that comes to mind and (I think) Bridge Burner by Mutoid Man but generally, its mostly on the E and A. Maybe its the clanky, trebley tone commonly used in metal makes the higher strings mostly unusable

Honestly, I get the product and what they wanted to achieve. For me, the EQ on most pedals isn’t what it needs to be for a working bass player. As for the price, if the pedal does what it claims to do and the quality is top notch, it’s not out of this world. in my opinion, if you feel the need for something like that, makes a lot of sense but if it’s not your case can be difficult. Just for curiosity, in the opinion of the people that finds it too expensive, what would be a fair price for this?

I think their rep had shown them some the range, but don't think they actually stock them - yet.

The Hipshot website, I think, has fully dimensioned drawings so you should be able to check. I suspect they would have the same problem with the swing of the lever

Couldn’t help myself! All I can say at this point is, it’s a ‘weighty’ pedal, all pots turn with a reassuring smoothness, feels well made, not cheap, even though it is when compared to the original

This has to be a mistake1! I'd email Alex , explain what they've done and ask them to send you a cab that matches your current cab. IMO it's reasonable to expect newer models to match older models, unless they've highlighted any changes.

What a bizarre decision! Is this reflected on the website/store in the description? Is it due to them making the active versions? I'd ask them for one like your old one, if possible, or sadly a refund.

@Bass Direct I've recently been looking for some lighter tuners to replace the heavy CBS era Fender ones seen on 70s basses and various reissues. I'm not the only person looking for them but looking at alternatives, none of them match the backs but also things like resolites and hipshots have a different shape, smaller clover leaf. Do you know of any? If not do you have the opportunity to feedback to manufacturers/distributors? The existing tuners are among the heaviest available, that plus the chunky neck profiles on a lot of these basses make them particularly prone to dive. It would be great to have an aftermarket solution that kept the look. Anyway thanks for reading!
