  1. Past hour
  2. Whoops, sorry Shep. The link was for a video I recorded but it only exists on Instagram. It was t a particurly good video. I did record some rough sound clips too. Hopefully they give some sense of the sound. It does also sound exactly like the clips I’ve heard of the original pedals that are still hosted on Chunks website. https://www.chunk.com.au/a00f2.htm#synth
  3. That is a beautiful bass. The quality on the German-made Sadowsky basses is really something to behold. When they first teamed up with Warwick I was sceptical. Nowadays it would be a difficult decision between a NYC custom shop bass or the German equivalent. I've never seen Fender-style basses made better than these. You can't go wrong with the classic olympic white/tort combo. If you opt for a maple fingerboard it goes with the off-white painted body and if, as in this case, you choose a darker wood for the fretboard it goes with the tort guard. May I ask, was the extra-long wait time due to the bass being left-handed or was it just due to Warwick being very late on their estimated delivery date. I'm presuming they didn't quote you nearly four years when you ordered the bass?
  4. The Bass Gallery has a very clean (if pricey) Fullerton RI Precision. Looks great and also pretty light (8.6 pounds) https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/fullerton-p-gally-on-me
  5. Clear CT references but a unique take. Lovely choice of timbers and woodworking. Is the lacquer sprayed or brushed - it looks quite deep (though it could just be the Spanish sunshine reflecting in the finish!)?
  6. A Fender with a decent low B in my experience is a case of trying several. I lucked out with my Mexican Player Plus Jazz V. I don't blame the 34" scale either as I have two Warwick fivers with excellent low B strings.
  7. And this why I have made the decision to stick mostly with what comes bundled with Logic and only use a couple of 3rd party plug-ins neither of which are absolutely essential to my workflow. Have you tried the guitars amps that come with Logic? Edit: And in the current political climate we probably shouldn't be using Waves plug-ins anyway.
  8. If I remember correctly I was chatting with Dave Swift at the SE Bash a few years back and his 5 string Fender had flats E to G but a round B - maybe to get better definition?
  9. Ha ha! GLWTS. Lovely finish on the body.
  10. Rig I've had in the studio for a bit... Sounds glorious (as you'd expect!) but hardly being used, so happy to move on for a bargain (if you can collect!). Prices below, or the whole rig for £225. ABM900 - £100 (see info). The Amp is a ABM900 - pretty well used (especially the case)... The volume pot is a bit scratchy, but all seems to work nicely. The Amp itself looks pretty good condition wise, so would swap the case out if that really bothered you I guess. I didn't buy this new, so would need to be sold as seen after you'd had a play with it, but as I said, it all seems to work well from my use. ABM 410 - £150 I've had this from new, purchased to go with a CTM100, gigged maybe 50 times, then lived in the studio. Brilliant cab, just not being used.
  11. Mike Rutherford's bass part from the tune 'Mad Man Moon' from the 1976 album, 'A Trick Of The Tail'. Some tricky passages and odd time signatures. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/mad-man-moon-genesis/
  12. This is a top requirement for us when looking for a replacement front person, as we are doing currently. Our previous singer wore Harley Davidson tee shirts etc and had a real “blokey” persona. Nothing wrong with that, it just happened. We’ve auditioned, and rejected, a couple of candidates (men) based on the vocals just not being in key. Next up was a rather shy lady who we had rather low expectations of at first………..until she open her vocal cords. We were blown away by her voice and stage presence. She would open up a whole new set of opportunities for us, if she would choose to join us. She’s reflecting on all of her options. Not in the same genre as us, I noted that Emily Armstrong is now fronting Linkin Park. I bet that’s a change for fans.
  13. Lovely CiJ Precision bss neck. Gorgeous dark rosewood board, and fitted with the original quality Tuners. Condition is really nice, save for a dink behind the 2nd fret (see pics), and some nicks around the headstock. Would do a bundle deal with the other bits I've got listed (there's pretty much a whole quality bass!). Please check out the pics, and any questions, just say!
  14. About 10 years ago, I had that with a Fender AM STD J5 Jazz. It wasn't noticeable when the band was playing, but I could hear it playing at home.
  15. Call Me - Blondie
  16. Good move. A few years back, I was provided a backline of an EBS 250 and 2 110 cabs. That was a very good sound.
  17. Does whatever this video show exist outside of Instagram? I have recently done away with all my social media pages, so I can’t view it. Thanks.
  18. Telephone Line - ELO
  19. I think so too. It's £500 less than a new Mex Geddy and has upgraded noiseless pickups plus (I think) an even slimmer neck profile. Yes, some mods but the battery box is invisible to the audience! That said, the various BassChat FS fora are full of what appear to be absolute bargains that would have sold in minutes only a few years ago. Tough time to be selling
  20. Going Mobile - The Who
  21. That sounds interesting. Thanks. I'll check them out.
  22. Yes, it should be ok.
  23. Movin’ Out - Billy Joel
  24. Today
  25. I had a couple of EBS heads 750 and 752 Reidmar Awesome amps and although larger and heavier than some they worked really well
