  2. I’ve just bumped the sellers thread for the Warwick 5 string . Interesting to see the response. I am a tad surprised that nobody advised me to keep ,and downtune the bass I already have ..
  3. Never On Sunday - Melina Mercouri
  4. I suspect you are not the only one troubled by that particular memory. 😄
  5. Mmm…if you travelled to Dorset , I’d be in trouble I think . I have a Warwick 1996 corvette which I did list for sale , and kept changing my mind . It would have sold if I posted , and you seem to have the same problem . I’ve got a craving for the low B again. Anyway …Bump! 😀

  7. I think the lines are in the wrong place on mine
  8. It’s why I can’t play lined fretless 😂
  9. Many years ago at rehearsals with one band, I used to switch off the guitarist's fuzz box to get him to play stuff right and not hide the mistakes.
  10. True - if your amp isn't trying to boost inaudible low frequencies, then it won't clip unnecessarily and can be more efficient in amplifying useful frequencies and of course, you are protecting your speakers from those frequencies.
  11. Yeah me too, at least this way I can use the bridge as an excuse
  12. Watching that with interest, Martin Sims did one for me about 10 years back and it was sublime, I'm thinking of having another done but Martin isn't doing that stuff any more so looking at alternatives
  13. I wish I was so adept at fretless intonation that it mattered
  14. I saw that advertised when I took my daughter to see the Smashing Pumpkins at Gunnersbury on Sunday. I’d love to see Khruangbin but the cost of another trip to the big smoke is too much at the moment 😔
  15. This - and also I view my HPF as protecting amps/speakers, or at least improving their longevity.
  16. In a not unfamiliar (to Basschat members) and irresistible gravitational field kinda way, this body found its way to Beedster Towers, and is imminently going to become a rather unique fretless..........
  17. Closed On Sunday - Kanye West
  18. My homemade pedal board with built-in power supply. The perspective is a bit skewed as all the pedals are level with or inside the edges of the pedal board. For anyone that knows the mic mechanic, I don't use those settings. Just for info, the power is from two 550mA discrete switch mode power supplies. The IEC input is on the right-hand side. The two left-hand power sockets to the Zoom and the Thomann wireless system are connected to one power supply, and right-hand sockets supply the Mic Mechanic with one socket spare. I designed it that ways as on the usual cheap power supplies, there is noise induced from the Mic Mechanic to the Zoom.
  19. Good point! It's a bass...... guitar! Not a double bass and part of the violin family.... it's a guitar, own it and be proud!
  20. This is the correct answer. The one in the classifieds.
  21. Yeah, that was one of the reasons I returned the new one I bought. You needed to buy the control processor just to get a down sweep. PastFX do an excellent 101 clone in a normal-sized enclosure with solid build quality so I’m not as interested in this particular Behringer version, though I’m sure it’ll be good.
