Thanks. Glad you read the credits too. I’m both Hardliegh Worthit & Cardigan Fitzbadley. As well as Hue Manfactors of course. The rest of The Roster made their own pseudonyms. All fine players.

This was the thread about the rehearsal room Ashdown that also surprised me

Our Saturday holiday gig was cancelled. So, no gigs this weekend. I guess the venue doubled booked. I'll never understand how that happens. Daryl

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE started following Cort space 5 and the fluctuating prices …

I am in the process of making all my bass collection headless only . I have been mulling over whether to get a 5 string ( mainly due to the low b) . I was thinking about getting something more expensive next year , but as I’m just messing around at home it’s probably a bit overkill to do so. This brings me to the topic above . I noticed that for some reason, the black version of the space 5 is cheaper than the green one and I haven’t a clue why that is . Not only that , the average price seems to be around the £ 749 mark . The prices are from Bassdirect ,and gear4music among others. A couple of days ago , the green one was going for £649 on Gear4music and I should’ve snapped it up ! But tomorrow is Black Friday 😮💨! This evening on the G4M website , the black one is £658 ( the cheapest I’ve seen so far) while the green one is £749 . I just sent a message to G4M asking why the black one is cheaper. I’m not sure what to expect , but I’m a big fan of theirs . If they let me have the green one for £658 then I’ll take it! If it’s £675 I’ll probably do so . I guess that hey are popular, and I’ll probably not get a better deal than that at this present time . Your thoughts??

We use Berkley in Glasgow and it`s usually an EBS head and Ampeg 8 x 10 and to be honest most of them sound crap. They used to have ABM heads but they never seem to be in the room we are using. But there is 13 or 14 rooms so maybe they are in there somewhere...

I'm going to see Morrissey perform tonight in Nuneaton, just popping into Wetherspoons for a bite to eat first. -
It could indeed be dirt. This video suggested that I can take the keyboard apart, and clean it. However, I am not sure that I have the courage to try it, yet.

Always a good sign! I think that's the setting I like as well, so I'll hunt out that one, ta! I like the idea of having a compressor block that doesn't have any of the variables available to adjust, so I can't be tempted to mess with it. So if it works, brilliant stuff!

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

@dmccombe7 you have, but thanks for taking the time to say so again. Very lucky to have chanced on a band with some very talented individuals, plus two of them can mix audio and make my bass actually sound like the tone I've got in my head. -

Having some fun learning some fills I've never gotten around to going - here's my go at the Thundercat/Mac Miller fill from What's the Use
-
Fair point - I never looked at the fees or calculated a total. It is definitely the same bass - on the headstock there are two chips & a scuff in exactly the same places in both sets of pics. I'm assuming it was bought just for the pickups - wonder what they went in?
-
One thing I remember was that I took it to Overwater for a full setup, but the pole pieces crackle to the touch, so it was very much a pick/plectrum-only bass, but i guess a RIC is anyway.
