  1. Past hour
  2. I spent years looking for a second one of these, and one pops up not long after I buy a pair of Orange 115s. 🤣😂 Great cab btw. Monstrously loud, with a clear, but vintage sound. I still take mine to band practice rather than the Orange cabs. Best of luck with the sale.
  3. Ah the colour is phthalo blue, it's a Crimson guitars water based stain
  4. Three Bog Night (Must have been the dodgy kebab 🥙 💩)
  5. BIN Though ‘bine inch nails’ doesn’t work. So abbreviation only. Nine Inch Snails has a good ring to it though if you prefer the long form… though that breaks the rules. Sorry.
  6. Really good basses - GLWTS
  7. Great basses. Beautiful necks. I’ve got a Precision that I took the neck off and replaced it with one from one of these. Perfection 😁
  8. That's a US custom shop model too.
  9. Got nuffin
  10. Gorgeous bass, and that looks even better in the flesh. GLWTS.
  11. How about top right burger menu, then envelope icon?.
  12. The modern Spector bridge is superior to the BadAss. I'm happy to be educated but as someone who has had intimate contact with both kinds over many years, I don't see the advantage of Leo Quan's bridge on an NS style bass.
  13. I cannee see it captain
  14. I do the majority of the onstage banter in my duo. I have always had a quick wit and as our music is definitely darker in tone, it lifts the mood. I worked with a singer a few years ago who was naturally effortless at this onstage (not so good without a mic, ironically) and I learned a lot from working with him. The best line from our last show was as we finished the set, our backing track started up again. I stopped it and said down the mic, “So sorry, you’d not asked for an encore!” I think it is a difficult balance between not being too full of yourself, not putting your act down, not going on too much but keeping people entertained. I think I usually get it about right but don’t sweat it too much if I don’t.
  15. I guess I must have been using the Bass 400+ wrong for all those years I had it. Not going to make the same mistake with this one! Played with it a bit more today. Volume issue seems to be sorted, so I retract what I was saying about the volume! The challenge right now is to add volume without adding much in the way of additional "fur". I like a bit of fur, but not loads. The EQ controls add fur-free volume, it's just a case of balancing that with the input gain, I think, so I'll be playing with that some more. I'll get there!
  16. Based on price and depreciation, what will these give us that a used Euro LX won't?
  17. Yeah, took Neural 5 years to convert something they already owned/created/had to get it out on the QC Darkglass did it (probably not totally) from scratch in 5 months (at least from release) I think it’s a very exciting time to be a bass player
  18. No Scratchplate i hope... Chrome or Carbon Bell Plate?
  19. I love depping, although I frequently end up biting off more than I can chew! A lot of my opportunities have come through musicians who I’ve already played with, but if my diary is looking thin I put an ad on Bandmix. A couple of my long-term dep relationships have started that way. I always try to be the person that solves problems rather than creates them, whether that’s singing a couple of numbers, digging out cables from my spares bag, or giving a lift to another band member. Finally, I always thank the band for the gig, even if I have silently sworn to be unavailable next time they call - I’m pleased to say that’s a rare occurrence!
  20. Quite clearly says £5600 in the title!
  21. If that don't do it, you have saved yourself some money...
  22. Click on the users icon/avatar/blah blah... then click on the Envelope Icon in the middle.
  23. Today
  24. How about the Steinberger Spirit XT2? Nothing more eighties than a Steinberger, and pretty cheap.
  25. Wise works fine, but depending on the amount the fees can hit the receiver.
