  2. Relisted with pricedrop!! For sale is this ’89 Music Man Stingray. It’s a rare light one, weighing in at a bit less than 3,9kg. The body is finished in the classic honeyburst, and the lacquered neck has some nice birdseye figuring. As you can see, the bass has a lot of usermarks/damages (especially on the back), but technically all is good. The neck is straight and the truss rod works well. The frets show some wear, but it doesn’t affect playability. All hardware and electronics function like they should, the pots could be a bit scratchy though. Fixed price: €1975 I am based in the Netherlands, but happy to ship. I don’t have a case, but will use a gigbag for shipping. I can also take the neck of to reduce costs if wished so. No trades.

  3. It also helps when said guitarist is Johnny Turnbull (Blockheads), who always just fits right in. Didn’t realise it was him on the Live Aid gig and not Steve Bolton, until watching it on Saturday. It also helps when Ian Kewley is the MD too.
  4. Looking back, things stayed broadly the same for another 6 years and then started to gravitate back towards 5s, with a complete switch during 2020. First bass: Yamaha BB-N4 'Go-to' bass: Warwick/Rockbass Streamer 5 'Your' bass: EBMM Stingray 5 Special
  5. I’m so tempted to put that into What3Words to see where (if anywhere) it is.
  6. I saw the forest green one in a local shop not too long ago. They look lovely in person! Enjoy!
  7. Spare is handy - At the last gig my transmitter was dead (left it switched on in the bag). Plugged it after the second song when I realised, left it charging for a few songs, then used it, lasted the first half then plugged it in at the break!
  8. Is that twice the guitarists monitor was unplugged at different venues too ? that's an odd one. No decent pics of the complimented SEI bass. That's not good. It should be front and centre. 😂 Dave
  9. I think those are called guitars.
  10. Yep i got that one. 😂 Dave
  11. You're blaming the cramped space on the pool table and not those boards?
  12. i'm not that good a bassist to be allowed a solo. 😂 Dave
  13. Yes just teasing 👍
  14. Lego brick pot?
  15. Tis indeed a great filter.
  16. Up for grabs are a trio of amplitube pedals in excellent boxed as new condition. X-Vibe modulation X-Time delay X-Space reverb They come with the plugin versions of the units so you can get your exact plugin sounds in pedal form for live sets. Amplitube are really smashing everything out the park these days and these units are no exception. They sound superb. Thanks for looking. £165 each. posted to your door.
  17. So did you put this together yourself, Fretmeister? Or did it come to you like this? I assume it's based on a Squier or MIM Precision or something like that?
  18. Joking aside, all are welcome, beginners to pros, no snootiness. Picks, fingers, thumbs, tappers, 4/5/6/8/10/12 (or even 1!) strings are ok.
  19. Don't tell anyone but my BC110T is my favourite speaker, it never sounds wrong and I've had a couple of sound engineers, when mixing the band at festivals, describe it as the best sounding bass cab they've ever heard. It's a little gem that just gets the balance right.

  21. Must resist... A fabulous looking bass, and a fabulously tempting price. GLWTS.
  22. Really enjoying this and it's stimulated me to spend a few hours finding out how to use mine properly. I've an ancient DeWalt getting little use. You Tube as ever came up trumps and many thanks to @alittlebitrobot for this really informative and such a clever way to demonstrate what I for one have been doing wrong, I'm afraid I've been using it like my table saw and not getting the best out of it.
  23. First Bass Owned: Avon by Rose-Morris EB0 Copy 30" Scale 'Go To' Bass: Spector Euro 4LX 'Your' Bass: Spector Euro 4LX
  24. They've been gigged, a few times actually! I wouldn't claim to have the most critical ear, but they certainly did the job on electric. On the double bass, with everything set flat, they do a good job, but it surprisingly isn't my favourite pair of speakers. That award would go to my 10" BassChats which for whatever reason manage to capture the warmth of the double bass and project without the piezo honk. You can get there with EQ. Saving £400 sounds wonderful if you put it like that. Not sure my wife sees it that way though 😄
  25. I tried this fret cleaning kit that came in a pack of 6 D'addario piccolo bass strings. It's a very slightly abrasive cloth sheet and works a treat.
