I did not know that. It sounds, to my ears, like a series of arpeggios stemming from some sort of scale that I could not identify.

Silent Guitar with Nylon Strings Body: Mahogany Neck: Mahogany Frame: Maple / Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) Fretboard and bridge: Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) 19 Frets Scale: 650 mm Nut width: 50 mm String spacing: 11.5 mm SRT piezo pickup SRT mic modelling preamp system (Neumann U67) Controls: Power, Master Volume, AUX in volume, bass, treble, tuner, blend, smooth control effects (Reverb 1, Reverb 2, Chorus) Weight: 2.1 kg Colour: Natural wood Soft bag Thanks to it’s near silent playing, this guitar is great for everything, practicing, gigging and in the studio. And with a collapsible body you can sling the SLG on your back, jump on a train or in your car and take this guitar with you whenever, wherever. The nylon strings will give you that flamenco, jazz or classical sound, and the SRT-Powered pickup system sounds warm and natural. It will take the pain out of live work too, unlike an acoustic guitar you don’t have to worry about feedback. Here’s what Yamaha say about the SLG200NW. The Yamaha SLG is the perfect instrument for practice, travel or stage use – any time an acoustic guitar just won’t do. Near-silent performance makes discrete practice simple, Yamaha’s exclusive SRT-Powered pickup system gives incredibly natural acoustic tone through headphones or line-out, studio-quality on-board effects enhance your playing to perfection, line-in functionality makes jamming easy and Yamaha’s 50 years of building amazing guitars means it plays like a dream. Coupled with unique, striking looks and a rosewood and maple framed full-size collapsible body SLG lets you play whenever and wherever inspiration hits. It was bought with the intention of being a travel guitar for busking/gigging with a portable PA but has been played 3 times in the house before I realised I may as well stick with my regular Yamaha acoustic. Still retails today for £699 massive saving as it is indistinguishable from new (gig bag has never been out of the wrapper), original cardboard box is even here.

For sale is my ’89 Music Man Stingray. It’s a rare light one, weighing in at a bit less than 3,9kg. The body is finished in the classic honeyburst, and the lacquered neck has some nice birdseye figuring. As you can see, the bass has a lot of usermarks/damages (especially on the back), but technically all is good. The neck is straight and the truss rod works well. The frets show some wear, but it doesn’t affect playability. All hardware and electronics function like they should, the pots could be a bit scratchy though. No case or bag included, but will be packed well if shipping is necessary. Asking €2350 Tradewise I am looking for a good Rickenbacker 4001, Fender strat or offset guitar (vintage specd), a light player grade pre-cbs Jazz Bass or precision (with added gear from my side).

Was going to wait until something of mine had sold to chip in, but who knows when that might happen so have donated now anyway as I’m sure Lee’s needs are more pressing than mine. -
I would love to stumble on an original Japanese 5 string version as I find the design extremely ergonomic.

This is from last Sunday's show. I hesitated setting this iPhone recording to live online but for a phone recording, it's reasonable and I am guilty of overthinking sometimes! It's one of the three songs in our set that I play guitar on. Nick is on the Mandocello and I think his vocal is great. If anyone is really keen, you can compare it to our electric original version. We love playing electric but a lot of local bookings tend to be acoustic.

I've found a whole load more motivation recently. I've always wanted a Spector and bought a Euro 4 LX a couple weeks ago. It feels really good to play and sounds amazing. I've got the Mike Starr tone spot on and can't stop playing Alice In Chains songs.

Amazing work everyone. Over 70% to target. Keep it going. -
That's the way it goes in bankruptcy proceedings. I'm not defending it but that's what happens. HMRC tend to be the first creditor and Joe Public is at the bottom of the pile. Any outstanding purchase orders will be lost and if you haven't paid for it in a credit card, it's likely you've lost some or all of your money. The suppliers have also lost money which is why they tried to get their stock back when they knew. A builder in my local village went bust doing my sister in laws house and the local builders merchants who supplied the builder came round tried to shovel up the sand he'd put down and take the bricks he'd started building with back. Bankruptcies aren't nice, some people use them fraudulently and seem to come out OK, but most are pretty bad. I lost circa £2K 15 months ago when a plumber just closed up, not a bankruptcy but he said he'd sold the buisiness on to another company but no one could find out who the new business was and he wouldn't say who it was. The work that he started was left and I got another plumber in to finish. Police said it was a civil mater and wouldn't get involved. Other people lost over £30k. We didn't chase it further as it would cost more than £2k for us to do it. Rob

Hey peeps. Moving on my Melvin Lee Davis preamp,DI &ir loader with data cable to install software as well as power cable. I bought this to use as a silent practice setup. Never left the house, or gigged. It’s like new tbh. I’m including the data cable you need to install the software. Great sounding preamp. It has a low and high pass filter which is accessible on the software and sets once you disconnect. Software has drum beats and a loop! You can also use this as an audio interface. Extremely capable tool. I’m moving to the mighty plug pro2. Asking for £100+shipping. I think this is fair considering the cable and power lead. Happy for collection if you are in London. happy to answer any questions.

@MichaelDean Total sidenote, but.. I'm total barefoot shoe convert for 8 years now so give it time. After trying a few brands I have settled on Altra, specifically the lone peak. They are trainers but super wide and comfy and more cushioned than vivos so less harsh on your feet. Can't see myself wearing much else from now on tbh.

Westone Raider I in silver/grey… I keep looking on Google but all I ever find is a BassChat page that was posted while I was on a break from internet forums, so I missed it! I believe that there is a chap on BassChat that owns one, that he mentioned he keeps in its case on top of a wardrobe. But I can’t for the life of me remember who it was! I think he may have said that it was his first bass, so I felt it would be too cheeky to ask if he would sell it. Especially with how much I regret selling mine.

Gear4Music has bought out some stock and IP from PMT but not assets or liabilities. Any PMT customers with unfulfilled orders seem set to lose their money which seems a little rough. https://www.gear4music.com/us/en/information/PMT https://musictech.com/news/gear/pmt-closes-all-stores-sells-stock-gear4music/

Sorry, I need to meet a pro optometrist! What I like in piezo is the versatility, but it also means quite a lot of adjustments. Wide frequency range gives possibilities, but there's that extra hassle. I think that two outputs and two preamps would be the ultimate solution, but who wants to carry all equipment to the gig, I don't know. All in all, Affirma is a different instrument if you are after something else and want to experiment.
