  2. Open to sensible offers. I'd much prefer a straight sale but I can always be tempted but the right trade!
  3. 2 comments on so far re. fraud. So long as comments are factual, it'd be good if there were a few more added... just saying folks!
  4. This lovely condition 2023 Aubergine Fender American Performer Mustang is up for sale/trade. It's been with me for a few months and is set up beautifully with 40-95 Elixirs (Fender use 40-100 as standard on these.) This Mustang plays like a dream and is in excellent condition with no scratches or dings that I can see. It has only been used for one set on one gig in our live tribute show, so it's not earning its keep and therefore has to go. Comes complete with bill of sale from original owner and the original Fender Deluxe Gig Bag & case candy. The American Performer Mustang is also another instrument in the line (since the Highway 1 series Jazz/Precision) which utilises the 'Grease Bucket' tone control, which lowers tone without losing bass/volume. Using both P&J pickups with the tone control dimed, it sounds like a hyper-jazz bass. Switch to the split coil and turn the tone down to about 70% & you get a very good traditional Mustang/Precision sound. Solo the bridge single coil, halve the tone and you're in burpy Jaco land. It's a very adaptable bass. I would record you a demo, but I'll let 'Nick Campbell Destroys' do the honours below - he does a much better job than me! For sale at £825. (Recommended retail price on these is now nearly £1400 these days!) Interesting trade options considered. Buyer to collect, or can meet half way at a distance of up to 100 miles (total distance of up to 200 miles from DE7.)

  5. I have just looked at that YouTube link and was thinking exactly the same!! "A backstage pass to the world of entertainment!" didn't mention the other successful racket he is running.
  6. Quite surprised there’s nothing in the comments
  7. If you were closer this would be a perfect swap for my orange 4x10 😢
  8. Spotted this on EBay. Can’t comment on the quality but it’s within your budget… https://ebay.us/m/WYVKDd
  9. Bought in the hope i could get away with 30 all valve watts but unfortunately not. Brand new JJ EL84’s fitted and comes with a spare set of EH valves. Really nice amp and tone to die for - if i could have this tone with more power id be in heaven! Collection from Bolton or could do a meet up. Could cut a deal if you want the ABM 4x10 ive also advertised on here. Would consider part ex for a Cali 76 Bass compact

  10. Lots of dates and shows doing well… this is what I’m talking about. He comes across quite well in that video. Hard to believe he’s a scumbag, right? That’s that they do and how they keep doing it - especially to people who have never met him before. Lets hope he gets banged up.
  11. A nice little interview with Mick and his partner. https://youtu.be/BMhBkxsVAac?si=4DVTuCPne3IpC-za
  12. I would say "you must never" if you do it badly. But then I'd tend to say that about any song!
  13. Have you checked how many files you've uploaded? You might be hitting the buffer for storage.

  15. Yep - still have to pinch myself that I sold it 😂 Oh well, we needed cash quick for a new floor and a couch and for some odd reason I couldn't justify keeping the bass 😕 Anyway, lovely playing in the vid Warren, and genuinely so chuffed you love it and use it. Though I very much doubt you'll ever move it on, and I can't blame you pal
  16. Thanks so much Bill, that makes perfect sense. I've downloaded the app and will give it a go today.

  18. I would LOOOOOVE a Rhoads bass....

  20. You rehearsed under fluorine lamps?
  21. We stuck with USB-A for a reason... there are a variety of USB-A to 9V, 12V, 15V and 18V converter cords available for use with pedals, but also the USB-A to USB-C and USB-A to lightning cables are readily available and very inexpensive so you get the best of both worlds. https://lovemyswitches.com/usb-to-9vdc-power-cable/?srsltid=AfmBOopZVrbjs29mAccByIl4AMwGF66xRajKnUtln5fc-rE7Rd5RIkAR Yes, I write all the basic outline and structure of the manuals, and then I have a couple of our outside test players who help with the editing process. One is a very experienced aerospace mechanical engineer who writes operations manuals for NATO compliant equipment (the big stuff) and the other has outstanding communication skills combined with really good intuition. Both are also excellent bass players (I'm a somewhat-mediocre keyboard player), so the goal is a technically complete manual written and edited from the perspective of bass players, to be accurate, clear, concise, useful and free from the vomitous marketing babble that makes manuals virtually unreadable. Thank you for appreciating our efforts. ❤️ We figure that if you are going to pay for a premium product, you also deserve a premium manual.
  22. That's probably why they've lasted. In virtually any workplace, people wouldn't expect to be best buddies (or sworn enemies). As long as you can get along with colleagues/co-workers, that's fine. You make the odd friend through work, but it's not the norm in my experience. Yet music seems to be different for many. Is it because we are trying to recapture the lost halogen days of our yoof, when our first band was a band of brothers, us against the world, etc? And as for relationships within bands, just don't go there. Guaranteed to be a disaster.
  23. I thoroughly enjoyed the selection of songs you played in Kingston this evening (I may have a few photos to post here later 😉 ) The lyrics Mar-a-Lago by the Sea had me and my wife screaming Oh and that Wilcock is very pretty
  24. I've just been flicking through some of the videos for Total 80's. A lot of them have been blocked or are not public. One of my favourites is this one. It was taken by our guitarists daughter. It's a shame it's in portrait, but I'm just happy that it exists at all. We were gigging a lot that year and did so right up until COVID spoilt the party. Even then, after things settled, bizarrely, we were even busier post COVID. Literally up and down the country. Sadly the relationship with our agent broke down and we have now reverted to select local gigs which we manage. @Chiliwailer, I'm sure you've seen it before, but it's the purple Modulus in action. It remains one of my absolute favourite basses to play. I still have to pinch myself that you actually put it up for sale in the first place!! (yes, you still have first refusal, behind a long line of seconds 👊).
  25. Running On Empty - Jackson Browne
