….and two days after saying this Line6 announce the launch of a brand new multi fx/amp modeler that’ll be absolute minimum £2K 🤣 However what the Helix Stadium can do and the quality & level of detail of the tube amp simulation etc sounds like it’s going to be insane, but NAM captures are still legitimately excellent, and so the technology for that will be available for next to nothing (comparatively). I think what the big boys are going to be able to charge the big bucks for is the ongoing new fx/models, support & updates as Helix do now. Back to the original post tho I’m definitely getting one of these to use as a cab sim, or maybe an amp/cab sim, in which case I may drop my preamp and just use different dirt pedals for different flavours running into the amp model, but we’ll see If anyone is interested in what free NAM captures are available this website 👇 has loads on, and you can listen to them with several different styles of bass playing etc. There’s some very nice sounding rigs on there, I just found I couldn’t think what yo search for much past Ampeg, GK and a couple of others - the Avalon VT737 Channel Strip capture sounds really good https://www.tone3000.com
  6. Yep - lovely body, lovely tort. I'd have it straight off to be re-fretted (no offense meant 😆) and even then would be an excellent value MIJ P.

76 cents for 1.5 litres of Coke Zero? How old is this picture?
  8. Could really do with moving this on as my half pay kicks in next week!
  9. The preamp/Di cull continues, bought as a 1 pedal solution 1month ago for iEM gigs and worked well but I have been seduced by the Kemper Profiler Player that I bought on this very forum. Partners well with the JHS Colourbox V1 I have for sale in this forum and there are some good videos of this pairing on YouTube price includes first class post but local collection welcome
  10. Absolutely beautifully bonkers! If this was closer to the North West, I'd buy it now. No idea why, but I would.

Probably less expensive than printing labels, over time. The smart-phone labels need printing, too. If small superettes use LCD, I presume it's not too onerous (I could be wrong...). There are dozens of formats, for the display of most item prices, whatever the commerce.
  12. Aye, I'm only stating fact. I used HD ages after HX - only recently sold my 500x. And it can be annoying that they keep updating. I've got my sound 'exactly how I want it' a few times then been drawn in to change it after an update dropped.
  13. Raising cash so up for sale is IMHO one of the finest tracking octavers available for bass. It has two distinct octave voices a Growl which replicates the toothy synth tone of an OC2 and a Girth which is smooth and deep like an EBS octabass/octamizer. You can get subtle variations from mixing the two. It also has a switchable mid boost/cut on the clean tone which can be adjusted internally, very handy. Usual small MXR enclosure with fantastic build quality. Its in great condition and a beautiful deep blue sparkle. No box, but will be well packed. (Note- the A sticker will be removed and cleaned, ive a two channel setup and kept mixing them up 🤣) £90 posted to UK only
  14. And I thought it was all a scam......obviously not. I'll buy myself a ticket immediately!

I am unsure of the costs of such a system, especially integrating with a guitar hangar ?
  16. From what I saw in the presentation, there's a DAW-like view for song stems that you can freely mix as you see fit. I think I saw a separate mixer feature as well for all the ins and outs. I assume you would be able to assign stem tracks to different outputs to make this feature truly useful.
  17. superb thank you I'll get one for my incoming HW 4003

This is done using LCD labels, updated from a hand-held controller. No need for printing, these days.
  19. Didn't Gear4Music hoover up all the GAK stock too? I know they are probably getting it all at a bargain price but wonder if they will be able to shift it all!
  20. Great score and a great bass. Enjoy!
  21. £75 each is reasonable if they work, or even as a source of replacement speakers for repairs...
  22. what does it need?
  23. But the old devices don't stop working. I was using a Bass Pod XT until I bought my Helix, which was bought on the strength of the features it had at the time of purchase. The firmware upgrades since then have just been a pleasant bonus. Unless/until the new Stadium version offers new features that I find indispensable, I'll be sticking with my Helix Floor
