  4. Looking healthier this afternoon.
  5. I bought it from a guy who bought it new and never used it. Where are you based?
  6. Hi, Just a quick question, does anyone recall if the Musicman USA sub bass was ever available as a fretless, I have a vague feeling I have seen one for sale many years ago but that might have been a conversion? I have both the active and passive fretted versions, I absolutely love them, they are my favourite MM basses and would like to add a fretless if they were ever available! Cheers Rog
  7. I was caught by my girlfriend while practicing these moves with my headless bass, and was met with a sarcastic "What are you going to do with that short little thing?" Of course the last thing I want is to be made fun of because of the size of my instrument, so I immediately took out my extra longscale headed bass. But then it struck me I can't have people thinking I have something to compensate for... So instead I have just ordered a Kala U-bass. Stay tuned.
  8. Thanks. I absolutely hate finger screech. I don't have the patience or inclination to wear in new zingy rounds anymore. I've put my Fender 9050L flats back on. Whilst doing so, I briefly had 2 of each string on, and made a comparison video to remind myself of the horrific nails on a chalkboard screeching of rounds. I've no idea how people can play stainless steel rounds, as even for Nickel plated steel, I can't get used to the feel of the XTs under the fingers. I'm guessing it's just hard to go back when you've tried and enjoyed the feel of flats. Maybe I'll still try the likes of Elixir Nanowebs & DR Sunbeams someday, but for now I'm more likely to stick with my Fender flats for a while as they are settling in well, and at some point try out other flats. I am liking the 'flats with a pick' thing, smooth feel and lack of squeaking, so maybe flats are my thing after all.
  9. Not funny as such but I thought this was a good place for it….
  10. I have pouches (think they’re neotech) on my straps which were originally intended to hold the packs from my Line6 G30 - and they still do - but now also work for ‘bug’ style systems by just extending the transmitter with a patch. I’ve got some that I made with inline sockets and also just some inline jack-to-jack connectors which are arguably just as good if not better. All you see is the patch coming out of the pouch on the strap - can be any system you like in there.
  11. Big bottom? Talk about bun cakes my girl’s got em! sorry…. Couldn’t resist…
  12. Nick Smith's sister, Ally, is looking to rehome Nick's extensive collection of music magazines. She's based in Peterborough...free if you want to collect. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Bm9uCCorp/

  14. What would people recommend for a wireless from bass to pedalboard? I want to put the wireless on my strap with a pouch not dangling down like a clagnut.
  15. Barock Project - Live Voyager. It says “recorded at Trading Boundaries” which means we were there and I’m currently listening out for wifeys distinctive shriek … she’s on every band recording of our gigs she was at so no reason to think she wouldn’t be on this as well 🤣 That said it sounds like a bigger crowd/room than TB so maybe it’s an amalgamation of gigs and audiences Also Jason Lindberg and The Other Side. Their most recent album showed up on Apple Music and liking their brand of Swedish prog.
  16. Absolutely stunning. Can't ask for much more!
  17. Today
  18. Ricky 4003 and a Mike Dirnt into the input set Hi Currently - Tuner, Ampeg pre amp, Sansamp then the compressor I don't know if I should lose the pre amp and then work on the Sansamp
  19. The PJ lionels and the full scale ones do have the P pickup the other way round. They do sound a little different. It makes a lot of sense - tighten up the EA and give a bit more bass on the DG. Leo had a habit of doing things the strange way round - the strat and tele bridge pickups are really angled the wrong way too. My strat has the bridge pickup the Hendrix way round and it's a slightly different sound - more twang on the lows and more fullness on the highs.. Probably don't notice it when the drums kick in though!
  20. That was mine for a while, definitely one I should have kept.
  21. Not sure, I know he has a website as well as the Reverb shop, I guess it might be better to contact him directly through his site if you’re after a trade-in, but I don’t know.
  22. I totally understand your point of view concerning the size, but sometimes it's preferable to have the full 88 keys keyboards, especially if you play some organs or pianos parts, just saying.
  23. Which bass? Is its output hi- or lo-Z? Where in the chain you want that effect? I have fuzz/dist pedal first after the bass. I have two (well, three) pedalboards, one for both bass output types. I love a X-over, because the lowest bass stays intact and powerful.
  24. This box has a set of three Speakon connectors wired in parallel (using pins 1 & 2) so can be used as an extender for speaker cables, or to allow two cabs to be driven from the same amp One connector at one end and two at the other end The box is made from very solid extruded aluminium
  25. LA Audio high quality active DI box, very solid construction; comes with an instruction leaflet - which is worth reading since the box is deceptively versatile! This works off an 18v rail so can cope with high or low level signals. Power via phantom from your mixer or 2 x 9v batteries Usefully it has a +20db switch to increase the level of low output devices and with 1M ohm input impedance is compatible with piezo pickups The Input will work with Instrument or Speaker levels ('Pad' switch is for speaker level), isolated XLR output for your mixer and a 'link' output to take the signal on to an amp or cab A separate unbalanced output is available as well as the balanced XLR
