  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks man. Just so much fun to play. Used to play a bit of bass to so feels like a nice compromise. that’s strange for 2nd and 3rd. Just tried and it worked for me so maybe volume was down. Thanks for listening
  3. Little fluffy clouds - The Orb
  4. 2001 - 2005. In the Antipodes, that's just around the corner. Can't you go for a drive, or get on one of those weird vehicles that run on ribbons of steel and make a day of it, to try one out? In your hands is really the only way you'll know. Edit: What's return policy like in Blighty? Can't you try, not like and return? Even if you have to eat the return shipping it shouldn't be that big a loss.
  5. Cloud Number 9 - Bryan Adams
  6. Can you show us a pic of the neck to see the inlays please?
  7. Thanks @Chienmortbb Most of our gigs are open air or churches, etc. and the headset is fine. But we do a Christmas show of pre-1900 carols every year and the last two years that's where we've had awful feedback problems. This year I think I'm just going to rough it and go back to conventional mic.
  8. Also, please do not destroy those grilles. They have not been available for two decades now, and impossible to find on the used market.
  9. I owned this bass quite a few years ago. I bought it as a fretless, and I took it back to Martin to make it fretted. A beautiful and incredibly well made instrument. GLWTS.
  10. And they still have some of your settings on mate!!! 😍
  11. High Fade-tastic! 😎
  12. Another deal with the inestimable Grezza has gone according to plan. Thanks mate - you are a credit to Basschat!
  13. Youre not listening to the right people 👍
  14. Sterling Ray34 by Musicman
  15. Adding to possibly the mightiest feedback thread in BC history. Nik bought a book from me and is a top man!
  16. Are you talking about EBMM Musicman Sterling or Sterling by Musicman? I always remember Duracell being recommended by Musicman so that's what I always used but if they sit really tight in the compartment then it could explain why I had to change the battery box on my 2016 EBMM Sterling as the bass would completely cut out at times.
  17. Bought a tshirt from me in a seamless (ha ha) transaction. Sean is a recommended Basschatter.
  18. Nice work on 1st and 4th Josh, 2nd and 3rd appear to have no sound on my device? Either way, lovely playing. Baritone is such a glorious instrument
  19. I thought I would have a go at some early Joe Jackson songs, started on Different For Girls, lovely tune and reasonably easy to learn. The next one was Stepping Out, flippin eck, this is way beyond my capabilities, bass players must get a real feeling of satisfaction when they crack this one.
  20. Today
  21. 25 or 6 to 4 - those guys from Chicago -
  22. Thanks guys. I'm going to get everything ready to assemble the bass then do the body. I'm fitting a rosewood neck from a '95 Mex P bass, pre-CBS Gotoh tuners, Fender hi-mass bridge, Aerodyne PJ pickups and just using chrome knobs as the control cavity is rear routed. I've got a solderless Jazz bass harness as I'm useless at soldering! Once I have things more organised I'll start a build thread. Cheers Paul
  23. That's the problem! No music store within 200 miles of where I live has a BTB in stock
  24. What year is your 406QM? My Post refers to post 2010 versions
  25. Baffle cut and cab screwed together,( will glue and screw when happy everything fits ) Back panel cut , just need to wait for when the neighbours are out to check for any buzzing or rattles .
  26. So our hearing will survive into the new year at least. Small mercies I suppose. 😬
