  5. Hi Scott funnily enough I was thinking of relisting it as I'm definitely using my Mesa gear more at present, where are you based?
  6. Been on a bit of a run of completing DIY pedals lately. Decided to give them their own board for now, spurred on by the power supply gratefully received from @rwillett! R->L: - SHO + Switchable clipping diode 1 based on Jptr Jive circuit. - EQD Zoar clone using PCB from Five Cats - Stripboard version of Fuzzrocious Ram the Manparts, tweaked to make it more usable. - BDI with Mids Mod. Think I need to branch out beyond drive/distortion for my next build!
  7. John is okay, just heard from him. He will post in here later.
  8. Nice one @AndyTravis, Lee and I have just been talking, this is a great thing you’ve done. Rob
  9. Well, if nothing else we've all learned something about how to play Hard To Handle.
  10. I should explain that most of the band (there are 13 in total) are not dedicated musicians - it's a weekend hobby for them and so anything other than 'song-stop-song-stop' is out of their comfort zone. Like you, in previous bands we've always tried to grab the attention of the audience with a few back to back before doing any audience interaction. I think it makes for a solid intro, sets the scene and lets people know that we mean business. But its new to the Hulla band and to be fair everyone has got it. I have 24 bars before I come in and then it's non-stop for the rest of the songs. The drummer, BL, guitarist and I are the core throughout and it's working well. 😀
  11. Please edit your first post and put sold in the title then please

    Jabba the gut

Had a brainwave/fart for another mad project [to be revealed] Brought some saddles and some machine heads from Mr Gut which has completely enabled the chaos to begin! Brillant. Awesome. Perfect! What a legend. Thank you.
  13. I would buy this in a second if it is still for sale. I live in San Diego and not only would pay you your asking price but would of course pay all shipping and compensate you for your time. Please let me know Thanks and Best Scott
  14. Would be interested in this either as a combo or the head alone. Not sure if your interested in selling still? Best Scott
  15. I had a nearly new Mocha P bass bk in 77. Those new pictures with the crazing, colour tone etc show the body and neck are prob legit but as we've already deduced the entire thing is a hack job. Pity. If its a nice weight then its prob a nice player.
  16. Bought an MXR octave deluxe from Minininjarob. Great comms, and lovely guy. Easy transaction, would defo buy something again.
  17. Down the road from where I work.... Must resist, must resist 🙈
  18. A couple of gnatty little additions for your HX stomp with the pedalnetics and Bright Onion switches. I don’t need them for my basic requirements so anyone interested give me a shout. Includes U.K. postage
  19. Today
  20. Hi, Mixed results with IEM's at the moment ...... Can get all the feeds to sound "good" in my ears ....... EXCEPT bass. Probably because I care more about how the bass sounds than just being able to hear and blend the rest of the band. The issue is a very "clanky" bass tone in the IEMs' but a great tone from the backline bass Rig, and the FOH. So, without IEMs the bass sounds good on Stage and FOH (as does the band). But, once the IEMs are in place the bass is completely different ... and not in a good way. The IEM's are Shure SE 215's via Xvive U4 wireless set. (I will get these (or replacements) custom fitted to my lugholes over the next week or 2). Just working up to using my new A&H CQ18T live so wondered whether the following might work well as I now have 8 Monitor Outputs - One monitor mix with "the Band, plus Ambient Mic" Another monitor mix for a specific Bass output. Combine the 2 Jack outputs using a lead taking 2 mono Jacks to an XLR connector - then Via XLR onto the Xvive Transmitter? I could pan the two channels if I need different balances or just change each channel volume?? If this isn't daft ....I'll give it a try over the next few days and report back! Thoughts?? Cheers Ian
  21. That's a good shout, hadn't thought of that angle.
  22. I guess with the Fazely stuff there's a chance that Bax's earlier financial problems might have disrupted the manufacturing process if they weren't able to pay the factory at any point.
  23. As long as you have realistic expectations, you should be fine. Gigging with one of these is akin to a high powered 1x12 bass combo, such as the Markbass CMD121 mentioned above. If you can gig with one of those, you can gig with a high-powered 1x12 PA speaker. I gigged for several years with a Headrush 1x12 speaker without PA support, before going direct to PA with IEMs, and I used a markbass 1x12 cab with different heads before that.
  24. Thanks Phil, THe IEM's are Shure SE215's - I'll start a thread .... I think I've found a way to do a specific EQ for the bass plus "The Band" into IEM mix. But could be completely wrong!!!!
  25. Yes, strictly speaking “The MXR Custom Shop Script Phase 90”. Same circuit, just with LED and power jack.
  26. I'd love to play in there, but it's a bit cramped for us and they don't really want covers bands. Ho hum.
