  3. I didn't think anyone would notice the "Hard Days Night" reference. Lol Daryl
  4. I think they’re the same, Cioks do one and then there is the light grey Eventide branded model. I have 2 Cioks 4’s, I tend to power them with usb c and then power the second off one of the outs on the first but you can power it with literally any old adaptor you have lying around.
  5. Why am I so slow. The weather made me to forget to come on here to check deals. That brown ash body…dam who ever got that is lucky.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Ah, the traditional Lancastrian free-dangle wrestling? Quite easy to see how that could result in one or both of the contestants ending up with a Badass.
  8. Concur. I had a huge 'oh shit no' moment when I first saw this.
  9. Very interesting..
  10. No, it's lovely to be me. How does it feel to be the most tedious member of Basschat?
  11. Having played through a Monaco I can imagine this is quite the beast of a cab, even with the “lower rated” driver. I’m half tempted myself, but the cat would need to be included 😆
  12. Bowling for soup kitchens

  15. Now £140 inc. UK delivery
  16. I had one years ago. What an amazing amp and such a bargain. GLWTS
  17. Cioks 4 Eventide? I’m keen on this one as available here in Aotearoa from a reliable supplier
  18. Some of you may remember Verellen Amplifiers, the guy who made the Meatsmoke, and other such good and tasty valve amps. Well, seems like he's not been idle since shuttering Verellen Amps and has formed Verellen Devices, which just popped up on my Instagram feed with this post: Given his past work, I'm inclined to think this might actually be quite an interesting item, at least for those of us who are still running valve heads and feeling the sting of the constantly shrinking availability of said valves.
  19. Get a bigger amp and turn up a bit after every song!
  20. It makes me think of Paul's Grandad 😉
  21. They said they found a dodgy contact on a wire to the volume pot. They've re-soldered it and the bass is on its way back to me. Fingers crossed this will have resolved it!
  22. It is. I feel bad as I don’t want it to seem like I’m criticising the seller. It’s just that I can’t really tell what, if anything, is original. It seems like it’s just half a neck. But maybe I’m wrong.
  23. I think it also helped that John Weathers would stick to a 4/4 rhythm, even if the others started playing syncopated polyrhythmic stuff. You can keep a foot tapping through some of the densest Gentle Giant moments. Fantastic band, usually with a really good grunting P Bass tone pinning down the low end! My minor gripe is that their live setlists were fairly conservative versus the spread of stuff they put across their studio albums. There are lots of grey market Gentle Giant live albums with almost identical track lists but wildly varying sound quality. Great if you want to listen to fifty versions of Knots!
