  2. New BL-700 on the way for my matching pair. This is likely to be my last ever bass purchase unless I can persuade someone to sell a certain white 70s fretless Precision.....
  3. Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots
  4. Yeah. If these found their way to me in Manchester…I’d be made up. They could be my rehearsal rig…
  5. Although I am not a rookie as far as electronics goes, however I have made one rookie error. When I tested the unit I had a slight buzz. Very hard to hear but there nonetheless. Looked at the specs of the two units, the TC Helicon Mic Mechanic 3 needs 300mA at 9V which is fine. The power modules I have are 9V 3 watts so 333mA current supply. In my head that was enough for the Zoom B2 Four too. However I was wrong, it needs 500mA. Luckily, both Myra and Vigortronix make a pin compatible 5 watt version. That gives me 550mA anf it more than enough. I am annoyed that I could have ordered them with the other bits yesterday but hey.
  6. I love his vids, he's absolutely hilarious, but really informative too, brilliant 👍🏼😎
  7. My D800 was having a similar issue some time ago, I found a screw missing from the bottom of the casing, replacing that cured the problem, might be worth a quick look
  8. PA should always carry the instruments, and again the reason is dispersion. Low frequencies have no problem filling a room as they're not highly directional, or directional at all below roughly 250 Hz. But that's not the case with mids and highs, so if you want 'not a bad seat in the house' the mids and highs from everything should be in the PA, drums included. Not necessarily loud, but just enough to give a uniform sound throughout.
  9. Selling this lovely Bitmap in great shape with original box - it's basically mint apart of velcro. These received significant software update last year with additional clipping modes etc. Red Panda has also very convenient web editor for presets. Happy to trade (with price adjustments) for interesting dirt pedals. Bitmap occupies my "loose spot" for additional dirt in pedalboard and I'm just happy to experiment. Basic overdrive I'm covering with Capo. The ones I would love to try are EAE, Damnation Audio, Broughton, Bearfoot, Hiero etc. Would've thrown 3leaf in but what are the chances
  10. True isolation means no connection at the power supply. The problem, is that on the typical 10 way supply such as Donner etc the power supply duplicates the signal grounding and often causes ground loops that imposes hum or buzz. Many people will never experience it but my two pedals do interact. Using totally isolated supplies will reduce ground or earth loops.
  11. He’s a gruff bloke who is in a fairly comfortable place in life. Someone you could meet in a pub and seems fairly relaxed about fame.

  17. Today
  18. At one point I dabbled at Jazz guitar using my 15" BW bass combo. It was remarkably good sounding for guitar (I hasten to add my playing was not).
  19. Looks there is now a long waiting list for these, Andertons saying > 3 months, and Guitar Guitar saying end of September 😮
  20. I watched the basstheworld video and thought it sounded kind of tame/lame. I have no interest in furious levels of distortion but this one just sounded a bit limp.
  21. the brassmaster feeds both my ashdown and kemper.....the ashdown get brass master into swollen pickle, the kemper is getting the brassmaster into curmudgeon aswell as my Phantom coil from holy island in the loop
  22. the brassmaster was starring at me from my shelf…….and I put the curmudgeon back on after fixing it and yeh I changed the led……
  23. Just a joke, shirley
  24. I've always assumed that 'isolated' PSUs still have a common ground and it's just that each output is a separate regulator fed from the same supply. Mine seems to do a good job of preventing crosstalk from heavy duty digital effects.
  25. I have found that some LED lighting can introduce various unexpected hum behaviours.
