I would never have gone looking for a white bass but I saw this and couldn't resist it, it's even better in the flesh

Well after a few weeks of going between Sandberg and Sadowsky Metroline I finally pulled the trigger on the VM4, and what a bass it is, it plays so beautifully and the tone is nice and even across the strings. Things that I struggled to play on my G&Ls, and I put down to my rubbish technique, are a breeze on this, every note rings out clearly...yes, obviously I'm in love with it 😆

I've been looking at both of these, massive price difference, so has anyone got experience of both? Is the Metroline worth 2 grand more than the Metro Express? I've got a chance of a 5 string Metro Express with the vtc preamp installed, will this get anywhere close to the Metroline? Also looking at Sanberg and Lakland, Sandberg have a great configurator and a 35" scale 5 string pj with preamp works out around the same price as the Metroline.

You're a gent Paul! Yeah I'd heard of the sandpaper trick, might give it a go for a quick fix and get playing it
